Solid no frills performer, after all these years – Satisfied with build and tech quality. Battery life good and will last longer with the 30-80 percent rule on charging. Has stood the test of time. Apps run well. Not a flagship but a steady basic performer of the five star variety., Show details

$1239 Dead after just 3 years – When Nexus came out in the market, I bought it and kept it for 5 years then the phone started playing up like shutting down et starting again without touching it. So then the pixel XL came out and spent a chunk of money on it as I believed in Google Technology then. Bought it on the 31st may 2017, lasting 3 yrs. Now if I reboot the phone turn the… Read more

battery will show empty and then you refill it. stop and start again the phone shows full. Hmmm. Battery of Pixel is crap. does not last a all day.. always have to carry an extension lead. The phone will also switch off at 47%??? Why? This is so disappointing. Spending so much money and believing in a Global company like Google. Yes the updates comes first before other phone.. but Really?

I am sorry Google, you have lost a good customer. I will not buy any other phone from you as I have lost trust with you. Its a shame..

Simply put.....best android I’ve ever used and the most bang for buck phone now – After reading reviews here I was wondering ..... how come I’ve never came across aftersell service problems some of you have experienced here First and foremost ...... apps runs flawlessly on this device ....... I even completely fill up the storage fully and still not even a drop of slowdown ......personally I feel the device is even more… Read more

smooth and responsive than iPhone

The one issue I’ve had was when I update to Oreo all of sudden the camera stopped working

So I contact the online technical wizard for further assistance and without any question asked

They send me a brand new replacement phone

Mind you ...... I got this phone off eBay at a discount price because the back was cracked at 300 ......in the end I got a brand new phone in return ...... I mean how kool is that

Multitasking is beyond perfection ..... everything seems flawless and buttery smooth ...... the latency was so sharp and responsive that ..... it makes you wonder why couldn’t all android phones function like this ..... I mean this is the way android was intended to be after all..... right ??

This phone is highly recommend for those who’s looking to get a budget phone in 2018

Trust me

It’s well worth every penny it’s priced now you can get one as low as 170 off eBay if you take your time to dig around

Best Phone I have ever had. Amazing camera – What can I say about the Pixel. It has completely converted me to android and I dont think I will ever be going back to iPhone and their completely restricted iOS environment. I have had this for about a year now and it is working great and no issues other than getting used to Android OS. Well build but I do live in fear of dropping this as I… Read more

do feel it would not fair well in a battle against my tile flooring, but what phone could these days. The camera is hands down the best, I sometimes cannot tell the difference in photos from this and ones taken with my Nikon D3200 (seriously).

The only faults I could say would be the speaker. Forward facing stereo would be a must for a pixel 2, holding it you naturally cover the bottom speaker that cannot do justice when watching something on the great pixel XL screen. and the pricing to get the decent amount of space. The 32Gb quickly fills up fast, the google photos sync does help the issue though.

6 month review – If you been following my reviews from the Samsung to OnePlus to Nexus I've switched to pixel which means you know I'm a pure android kind of tech geek. People read reviews to make a decision on where to spend their hard earned cash. I ordered mine on the first day of release which means I didn't get held up like those geeks waiting for weeks… Read more

on end for a pixel.

Fault, Bluetooth issue when pairing devices. It's happen once to me in 6 months all I did was turn off phone and back on (software update required) hopefully April or May.

Fault, Snapchat camera takes time to focus must tap on screen to adjust happening since the beginning.(could be app problem camera loads good on its own)

Resolved, speaker crackling sound when watching the mummy trailer on max volume (software update fixed it)

Resolved, now cards not updating January or February (software update fixed it)

Resolved, slippery phone. All I did was get a rhino shield bumper protector and slap on a skin from dbrand it's a tight fit but it works.

Con, google support chat. It worked for the first month which was great sometimes you don't like to talk to people. Now it's only call back but least its instant.

Con, you can never order the blue ever well not for Australia

Pro. You can call someone while you're navigating without touching device just do a hey google comannd.

Pro. Manage 5 hours of SOT easily daily. Claim 7 hours of use with 15 minutes of charge? Take that with a grain of salt.

Overall. No lag from phone. Just remember to clear the cache from settings. I have not put a custom rom on this pixel no need it just works. Yes the camera is legit works great it's on par with its rivals.

Any questions just ask. Who knows what my next phone might be. Samsung S8 on the horizon also note or I'll wait for iPhone 8 and pixel 2 to make my decision.

Great phone – Personally I was worried switching from apple to android again but the Pixel XL is great and doesn't make me regret my decision. The camera is fantastic and takes awesome quality photos and I get the latest & best updates. Would recommend to new phone searchers :) Bit on the pricey side, but worth it.  Show details

Crap antenna – I love everything about this phone except the reception I get from it. I can be next to someone with who is with the same provider but with a different phone and they will have reception and I won't. The reception keeps dropping out and cutting call off even when I don't move. Apart from this I love everything else about the phone. Show details

Camera is an issue with NO FIX or response from Google Pixel XL – For months upon months now I'm dealing with camera issues - fatal errors...won't spin around for selfies & constant errors in 3rd party apps such as Marco Polo. Also, now having issues with ringing at all or notifications of missed calls or voice mail. Since I'm still making payments on the phone, it would be nice to know this widespread problem… Read more

Great Phone.... terrible product support from Google – Have used the phone for nearly 1 year.... was absolutely fabulous with great quality pictures and very easy to use. The Pixel XL is a dud – Since the software update to 8.1.0 My Pixel XL has had problems. Firstly the phone screen would not turn on. Currently the microphone on my Pixel XL is dead. seemingly not taken any action. I have had one quote of $550 to replace the main board on my PIxel XL. This problem is wide spread so much so that a Class Action has been launched against Google in the USA over the dead microphone issue. In the early days of this problem Google was replacing dud phones with new ones and in Australia ???

Wonderful Phone – This phone is wonderfully crisp and has the best camera on the market. The quality and experience has been unmatched in any Android phone I have owned so far. The only downside I guess was the fact that I bought the 32gb version because that fit my budget better, but had I known I would love the phone so much, I would have paid extra for the 128 gb. Definitely recommend.  Show details

A truly outstanding device – Despite bland looks, this device is a great performer. Battery life is outstanding, the screen is pin-sharp and responsive, phone reception has always been solid for me, and the interface is always snappy and smooth. difficult to take a bad photo with it. In tough conditions, where most cameras will struggle, it doesn't even seem to try. It makes you look like a pro. And the power button double-tap shortcut to open the camera is icing on the cake - you can be ready to take photos before it's fully out of your pocket. I could rave about it for hours.

Decent phone for the price – Considering the prices of more recent phones, coming up more than $1000, the Google Pixel has remarkable camera quality, as well as speed. There are a few problems with the phone though, having speaker issues, having to reboot into safe mode or reformatting the entire phone for the speakers to work. Great phone however doesn't hold resale value – Love the phone, and the camera is incredible! However, it was quickly superseded by the GS8 and then the iPhoneX. Decent battery life. Wish it were waterproof. Clean Android is a godsend, and you're guaranteed the latest software first for at least a few years after purchase. A good buy, especially with the bargains around now, but don't expect it to hold resale value like an iPhone.  Show details

Good, not without fault – I have two Google pixel xl. One started making an internal vibrating sound when it was being called withing 24hours had shut down and would not switch back on. display went bad and the phone is no longer usable. And, believe it or not, after about six months of using mine, my display has cracked. To be honest, I did drop mine but from only a height of about one foot.....and it landed on a carpeted floor. I'll have to pay to get them fixed ($189 each minimum) and then try and sell them. We need a phone that is more durable, from a company that makes good products and is willing to stand behind the quality. But it won't come from Google, that's for sure.
