Not a premium service
NSWBefore signing with Grace, they assured us they had a specialist art moving service, and that they did not use subcontractors - two key issues for us, so we were happy to pay the premium for Grace. Neither assurance proved correct.

... Read moreth corner protection, and a very large, recently re-framed photograph, was delivered with a chipped corner on the frame. Corner protection is such a basic thing, we recently purchased a very inexpensive framed mirror, and it was wrapped with corner protection - but Grace’s “specialist” art handling team doesn’t provide any corner protection!? We were moving interstate and were not fussy about the day of delivery, it just had to be in a particular week - this had been agreed months in advance. We were told at the beginning of that week the delivery was now scheduled for the following week because the Melbourne crew were too busy. After some to and fro, with Grace’s Melbourne and Sydney offices appearing to blame each other, we were then offered a delivery day in the week we required. We were relieved that they’d managed to resolve the impasse, until the moment the truck turned up - it was a subcontractor in an unmarked truck. Had Grace explained this was how they resolved their scheduling error, we might have instead rearranged our own schedule to ensure we had a Grace delivery. We complained by phone and email to both Melbourne and Sydney personnel; however, over two months later, we still have not received any response to our complaints. We paid a premium fee for a very average service - there were other problems too numerous to detail here - and we’ll never use Grace again.
Very professional service
ACTWe are very satisfied with the professionalism, courtesy & all assistance at all stages of our move- quote, office staff,helpful advice & counselling ,excellent teams of removalists in Canberra & Sydney. Very thorough with inventory,care, packing,carrying, arranging & delivery. Also very courteous & polite valuing us as customers. Very punctual though it was early for our liking. But it turned out wet.

Read morerrived on time, carefully packed the items I couldn't pack myself, then removed and packed their truck with our belongings, finishing the job in just a few hours - impressive given that it's a big house. All I had to do is sit back and watch it all happen. A couple of hours later Christine then got in contact to assure us that all of our belongings were safely stored in their crates and provided all the information we needed about what happens while our possessions are in storage and how we arrange for relocating it all once we've finished travelling. We were never left wondering at any point in the process - well informed and well looked after. I cannot express how much we appreciated the service the we received from the team at Grace in Perth and would give them six stars if it were allowed.

Seamless House Move
SAThe entire end to end process was effortless, from my viewpoint anyway. Everything happened as per plan. It was easy to call and find out rough arrival and drop off times, everyone was so friendly and helpful. The lads Scott & Adam were absolutely brilliant, I was so very grateful to have them for both pick up and delivery, given there was a few days of storage in between. They were so lovely, respectful of my furniture and just genuine, they were a pleasure to work with!

Great Service
QLDI recently used Grace to do a removal from past Ipswich to Surfers Paradise - the pack-up and move out by Brisbane crew was great. The delivery and unpack from the Gold Coast team was as good and then the pickup of wrapping and boxes. Have more to be delivered and highly recommend them

careless handling
VICGrace moved my household goods from Perth to Melbourne last year. The goods were carefully packed in Perth but were transhipped in Melbourne. Not only were iresplacable ceramics broken, but a $3,000 coffee table was damaged through careless handling. When the table left Perth, it was wrapped in blankets and its legs were protected with cardboard cartons. The table was transhipped in Melbourne and arrived at my house unprotected and standing on its end in the container damaging its top. Grace response was that we should have taken insurance. I w
... Read moreas told that had I paid for insurance, we would have received compensation. Is it reasonable that we should insure ourselves against careless handling of our goods to have the money returned when our goods were damaged? I think not. Grace offered $300 as compensation 'without prejudice', an offer we refused. I eventually received a quotation for a new table top and requested that Grace pay this.The cost is equivalent to the amount I would have had to pay to insure my goods. I have not heard from the company. Consumer protection advice suggest that I should receive compensation, something I will pursue through consumer protection agencies and possibly through courts.
Highly professional service from end-to-end.
WAHighly satisfied with the level of service we received from a Grace Removals. While they were slightly more expensive than previous removalists, their customer service and attention to detail was well worth it. I would definitely use them again and highly recommend them.

Grace removals made an already stressful move even worse.
ACTMid 2022, I contacted Grace Removals ACT for a quote to move from Canberra to the Gold Coast and was quoted $3500 for their packing service, insurance and removal. I was told if the move occurred during peak season (end of November to February) it would cost more.
Unfortunately, my property sale didn’t settle until 9 January 2023. It was also looking like my plans might change to relocating to Adelaide instead of the Gold Coast so Grace suggested my items be stored in Canberra and be moved in February (off-peak) and that this would save me mon
... Read moreey and the new price would be $4500. So when the quote came in at $4500 (in bold) I didn’t think anything of it and I accepted. When it came to paying 3 days prior, I realised the invoice didn't look right, so I rechecked the quote which I found had hidden in the storage fees an extra $2,860 for the interstate component! This was not mentioned to me on the phone. I was basically charged $4500 just to pack me up (small apartment) and move my items into storage in Canberra. Something I could have done myself! But with 3 days to go it was too late. I have honestly felt sick about this ever since. When I did have my stuff moved to Adelaide I was told that my items would only be unpacked onto a benchtop, not put away as discussed with the sales manager. So in the end my items weren’t unpacked at all…who has enough bench space to unpack a whole house?- +5
$16,000 nightmare continues
VICSo the $16,000 nightmare of this move continues. After all the damage to my furniture & boxes..see photos in previous review, I'm palmed off by Grace to use their insurance they sold me. Now I am told by the insurance company I cannot claim for any damaged boxes packed by me...only for boxes packed by Grace. If I was told this I would not even have taken the insurance - which was very expensive.

SAPersonal and household possessions were moved very efficiently from Adelaide to Thailand. Staff very responsive and communicated well. A seamless process that took out much of the trauma of moving to a new country.
