Not our perfect dream! – We built what we thought was our dream home in 2012. We had a few issues in the beginning, which we thought were resolved but as time went they started to multiply. Cornice began separating from walls and ceiling, cracks where there were joins, skirting separating from walls, holes in plaster that were filled and not sanded back, cracks in the corners of plaster.
Two coats of paint, what a joke! The paint has been sprayed and there are blotch marks all over the walls as if the compressor had water in it and the paint is so thin it is a joke.
Yes the house is now 6 years old, people are so excited to move into their new home (which they have invested 100's of thousands of $) they don't go over the finish with a fine tooth comb, they pick out the obvious and a few years later all the "crap" really starts to show through and it's too late. These houses are built for short term appearance NOT long term value.

Grandview Home Review Customer service - horrible, Low Quality – Same story -Low Quality & Lacking attention to detail. Far from being a cheap builder once all the extras or things that are not included in their standard pricing adds up. No attention to detail in the finished product before hand over, paint and plastering on walls / ceiling etc very badly done. Can see joins on the plaster ceiling - looks shocking. Paid thousand for tiles upgrades and it done horrible. 8 month after closing - we still don't have buck yard and can't install air conditioner because space between houses not done. They refused even to give dates for this work! It was that much hot as 32!!
Customer service - horrible. Copy of the email:
Good morning
No further work will be done on your ceilings. All ceilings are well within Tarion’s guidelines. I suggest that your “home specialist” read Tarion’s Construction Performance Guidelines which I sent to you previously.
There is nothing wrong with the tile in your shower. However, as a consideration we have requested that our tile installer inspect your concern and replace the uneven listello tile above your tub. They will be in contact with you in the next couple weeks to schedule.(never done)
Best Regards,
Heather England
Grandview Home Review – Low Quality & Lacking attention to detail. Far from being a cheap builder once all the extras or things that are not included in their standard pricing adds up. No attention to detail in the finished product before hand over, paint and plastering on walls / ceiling etc very badly done. Can see joins on the plaster board walls looks shocking. Outside render patchy and even down pipes leaking. Builder takes longer to build a home than most and the reason for this is because there is never anyone there and when the tradies are there they are rushed to get to the next job.
