We love our new home!
We have lived in our brand new SJD home for three months and we couldn’t be happier.
Following our decision to do a knockdown rebuild, our research led us to SJD Homes where we were fortunate to start our journey with Nathan, a senior SJD consultant. Nathan was terrific and throughout the planning stage for our new house, he had patience, knowledge and expertise to enable us to customise our new house exactly to our requirements. Nathan was with us from the pre-planning stage until we were ready to build.

... Read moreculous in his attention to detail as the house was being built. This also reflected in the tidy condition that he left the site during the house build. There were a few minor issues, particularly at the framing stage which I believe were more a reflection of general labour shortages in this area. But James ensured any problems were rectified and got us back on track. The workmanship for all other trades was generally of a high standard. We were kept informed about every stage of the building process, including a few minor variations along the way which had minimal impact on the final cost of the build. Thanks to James, the house was completed slightly ahead of schedule seven months later. Given the current uncertainty in the building industry, we consider ourselves very lucky to have chosen SJD to build our home and would happily recommend the company to anyone.

Could not be happier with our beautiful new SJD home. The experience has been highly positive and a seamless process from day one. Cannot thank our SS Matthew Miller enough, he maintained a high level of communication throughout the build and was extremely efficient with rectifying any little challenges along the way. His attention to detail is brilliant, and holds all trades to a high standard resulting in our home being everything that we hoped for. Throughout the construction phase, SJD Homes maintained clear communication, keeping me informed about the progress and promptly addressing any concerns. The craftsmanship and quality of materials used in my new home surpassed my expectations. As I was not local whilst the build process was happening, I continually got photographic updates on the build as things happened, which was great for me. Our new home is absolutely incredible! New build
Overall quite impressed with our build. In the midst of uncertainties in the construction industry, we count ourselves very blessed.
We were well informed most of the times if there would be any delays or hiccups during the build. Our SS Matt Miller was good with communicating this to us. Still a few things that would need attention at the 3 months maintenance check. Some of the items are pending from the list post our PCI but will still raise it up during that review. Would I build again with SJD?..Definitely

Big Family, Big Home, Big Kudos to SJD!

... Read moreeven bedrooms, a theatre room, front lounge, three bathrooms/toilets and a entertainer's dream wrap around alfresco. We couldn't have done it without her. You know who you are! The colour selection process, although daunting, was very professionally handled and had the right balance of the consultant's suggestions when we were struggling with the options, coupled with taking a step back and encouraging us to trust our own thoughts/choices. When we wanted to make a change after we'd slept on it, this was facilitated with no fuss. Once construction commenced the build proceeded at a rapid pace. This was extremely important to us, as we had been staying in a four bedroom, one bathroom rental. Our build, though quite large, overtook other house builds in the area that were under construction with other competing building companies. Tradesman were put on a well organised schedule with minimal delays. Communication from our site supervisor was excellent in its speed, clarity and down to earth nature. No question was deemed silly or annoying and we were always met with a cheerful and friendly disposition. Like all builds there was some things that needed to be sorted after handover, yet they have been dealt with efficiently and where a slight wait was needed, accompanied by clear communication. As I'm writing, there is only one issue outstanding that will be sorted shortly by our site supervisor. Thanks mate, you've been gold! To say that we are happy and satisfied with our house is an understatement. SJD employees made this build possible and SJD's designs and inclusions were just what we were after. We are proud of our big home; the way it was designed, the manner in which it was supervised, the speed it was constructed (only nine months) and the quality of the build. Despite the uncertainty in the construction industry, SJD forged ahead and is a popular builder in our area. Our final cost was exactly as our estimated cost. No nasty surprises, just great ones! Scott Cooksley, our supervisor, deserves special mention for his incredible work overseeing the construction. He maintained constant communication and kept us updated on every phase of the project. Scott's attention to detail and commitment to quality were evident in the finished product. He made sure that all the defects in the private inspection reports were rectified promptly. The maintenance team including Courtney, Brianna, Aime, Sara, and Isabella has been very responsive on every occasion and resolved my issues promptly. Thank you so much for this wonderful home :)
Our new home by SJD homes
From start to finish, the process was made very easy by everyone involved, the build was quicker than expected and as we were away travelling we were kept up to date with phone calls and pictures.
The quality of the build and the finish is

The final price was what we expected considering the upgrades that we added to the original price.

From beginning to end we couldn't fault SJD Homes. We had constant communication throughout the entire build, their attention to detail and the quality of finishes is second to none. Our supervisor Andrew was amazing, he is a wealth of knowledge and always gave us updates and kept us in the loop which was really important for us having a custom design. We couldn't be happier with the outcome and 2 years later still get so many compliments on our beautiful home. I can't recommend SJD Homes highly enough and wouldn't hesitate to build with them again.

From the moment we stepped into SJD's sales office and met Bec, I knew this was the builder for us. Good morning, just wondering do you build in country Victoria? Avenel, just north of Seymour is where we are looking to start building
Do you build in Werribee?. We have no builders out here providing a two story plan like the Picollo 24.5. It is the only one in melbourne so far we have found that fits on our very small 21m lot due to the green space required by Development Victoria estate.
