As a single mum of two building for the first time on my own, I honestly expected the process to feel overwhelming. Instead, Stephen made it smooth and manageable from start to finish. His communication was outstanding—keeping me updated multiple times a week and always responding quickly to calls and messages.
He went above and beyond by coordinating access for window furnishing and fencing quotes, organising times for suppliers to meet onsite, which took a huge amount of stress off me. He also took the time to answer all my questions and explain things clearly so I could make confident, informed decisions.
What truly stood out was his dedication right at the end of the build. The day before handover, he was due to go on annual leave and leave for a holiday at 2am—but he delayed his plans to ensure my home was handed over on time, knowing I had turf, underlay, and help booked in for the Easter long weekend. That level of care and commitment meant so much to me.
I am beyond grateful for the support, professionalism, and genuine kindness shown throughout the entire process. Stephen is an incredible asset to Perry Homes, and I highly recommend building with the Forster team.

good luck gone, my some stroke of luck, Anthony became my site manager.
I have never felt so secure, informed, important, but most importantly - happy, and stress free through this entire build. Anthony called us once a week, replied to text messages and emails in a prompt time, and even gave me extra pictures when I wanted a cheeky sneak peak when my kitchen and bathroom tiles were installed. He even went as far as to open our house for us, so my family who was travelling from the UK could see it before they went back home. It made me so proud to have such an amazing person working with us, because I knew he didn't have to travel to do this for us, there wasn't anything on site he needed to do, or oversee, he did it just for that extra special customer service touch.
Anthony also came up with solutions to any problems that arose - I didn't review our tile order correctly, and he helped me find our special order tile, in the same batch, just to make sure I had the look I wanted. If we weren't able to secure those tiles, he went through each scenario to make sure I got the bathroom of my dreams. Never once did he make me feel like I was a pain, or nuisance in that process, or even when I asked a million questions, or the same question a million times, or when I changed my mind.
The finishes on our choices were amazing, the small issues that I didn't even notice Anthony picked up on, made sure we were informed of it, and that it was rectified prior to proceeding, with a promptness I very much appreciated, and while I know with every build and renovation there are going to be things that happen, it was awesome to know that I didn't have to stress over this, or stress over the nitty gritty things because Anthony had already done it.
I did not have any unexpected costs pop up throughout the build, there was no metaphorical monster rearing its ugly head, that too often is all people talk about with their experiences building. We went in knowing the earth we were working with would need to be special engineered, and all costs were only extra when we chose to upgrade to certain tiles. Otherwise the selection offered covered everything we wanted in our build. (Standard tiles throughout the home were covered in the overall build cost, I wanted a special bathroom tile for ensuite & main bathroom. Overall extra cost was approx $9,000.)
If I have to say one thing about Perry Homes, it would be how awesome they are to work with. I've loved this entire process, and I honestly would not hesitate to do it all over again... On one stipulation that Anthony is our site manager again. While I have no doubt every supervisor is great there, the rapport and relationship we have with Anthony from our experience, I would love to work with him again. (If your manager is reading this Anthony, you seriously deserve a raise!)

Myself and my Family are now enjoying our stunning new home which was extremely good value comparatively to a lot of other builders and we couldn’t be happier with the final product. And from what I noticed in the area, Perry’s quality, efficiency, and general site cleanliness were leaps and bounds ahead of any competition around them.
If we are ever lucky enough to build again I would be using Perry without hesitation and I couldn’t recommend them more.

Follow-up · Answering follow up questions: We have no noise issues - home is very quiet and well insulated. We added solar and a battery so the home is very energy effective. We built facing North. Tony, the Home Consultant, is also very knowledgeable and provides practical, reasonable advice regarding upgrades. He understood our goal of staying within budget and did his best to help us achieve a beautiful design without compromising that.
From the beginning, the build cost was transparent. The price remained largely unchanged, except for rock excavation and removal of the site-scraped material, which was outlined in the contract as potentially variable.
We are currently on day four in the house, and so far we have only noticed minor, mostly cosmetic issues. Overall, the build experience has been stress-free. We may update this review after the 90-day maintenance period, depending on how any rectifications are handled. At this stage, we are very happy with the build and the experience.

The model main bedroom closet had shelves and two tier racks but come to completion that was not it and told can be changed at our cost!!!!. Dining room model home had a skylight with remote controlled opening/shutting vents…we had to pay extra despite having had a chat with Ben from sales that we wanted everything that was in the display home and we were given a price for it all and having paid for it but not delivered. On key/hpuse handover found that we did not have bins in the kitchen, still waiting for them. Advice to future home owners, get everything in contract, go through throughly the house plan thoroughly as they can change anytime. This experience just killed my enthusiasm for our first build. Overall not impressed.
Some issues – Built in 2016 .. northern rivers build and handover all Well... issue surfaced re plumbing not long after.....DA stated two storm to curb of a specific diameter there was only one blowing the curbside adapter across the street whenever rain came.. off it was an ask to engage perry in regard.. certifier (COUNCIL) says all was good at handover clearly to me it wasn't.. check all stages with this builder I would never recommend without looking closely .
Don't go near them, – We tried to build with Perry Homes, they took our deposit. They put an illegal term in our contract saying, that if Perry Homes don't do their work on time, they can penalise us with a price increase. They may sure by not lodging payment with plans, delayed by 3 weeks, they had our septic report but did not lodge, so right on the 60 working days,… Read more
they hit us with our 2nd price increase of $18k. Everything other Home company, 10 in our street were able to get plans out from council in 5 weeks. Even though they did not spend all our $20k deposit, they kept it. Our only course of action is to go legal. This all happen in March 2022, just yesterday I got a call from septic people asking if we r going ahead, they could not even do this right. STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY, AND NEVER SIGN A CONTRACT WITH THEM UNLESS REVIEWED BY SOLICITOR
