Be careful about opening an account with Grays giving them all your personal and banking details. Either their dodgy employees sell your details, or their online security is trash. Had my account suspended out of the blue and when I found out about it, they first told me my account was linked to another account who breached their terms and… Read more

conditions!! but when I questioned them further then they told me it was due to bidding activities! I didn’t bid for anything for nearly 6 months and prior to that I bid for some cars but didn't win any of them. Seems like they are covering up on my suspected hacked account or my personal data leaked out and someone using my details in another account. Now I’m not sure if anyone used my details to purchase a car to use in criminal activities! Not only they wouldn't tell me the exact reason for my account suspension, but they wouldn’t even tell me if there were any activities in my account for my own peace of mind as I I'm not bothered at all for not being able to deal with them anymore. I had to cancel my credit card and go through the hassle of changing many auto payments but still worried that criminals may have used my details to purchase a car under my name as they initially said my account was linked to another suspicious account before changing their story that it was due to bidding activities!! Do yourself a favour and avoid them at all costs. I’m reporting them to ACCC and weighing in whether to report them to AFP too. Looks like $10m penalty couple of years ago wasn’t enough to stop their fraudulent activities

Try getting a refund! They are quick to take your money, however, if they make a mistake and send you the wrong goods, YOU need to lug the items down to a Post Office (which isn't a viable option for me) and then wait for the returned goods to be inspected, at which point (according to their returns policy) it could be up to 21 days before a… Read more

refund is issued. Meanwhile, I'm out of pocket and without the original item purchased, which is 'no longer available'. Doesn't my winning bid reserve the item immediately? Pure incompetence and a pain in the rear, to be honest. Not sure if I'll ever use them again.

Bought 2 items at auction with a starting bid that was 3 times the price of the exact same item with same stock photo as advertised on ebay! This was my first sale through Grays, though I have been a buyer many times over the years – Your Classic Car manager, Rian was very helpful and on the ball. He followed through on each and every query from me as a first time seller too. He achieved a good result for us. Show reply

Hino Truck – I bought a truck online without even going to view it beforehand, but the photos on the app did justice to what they were selling. The pick up process was easy and smooth even though it was a little bit busy, the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would recommend GraysOnline WA/Perth. Nearly 2 years after I bought the truck, it's still going strong. Show reply

Grays Auctioneer are ripping the Australian with their high fees premium buyers just look at the premium buyers fees it's almost more that 10% between fees Gst and cc fees. The goverment of the day is allowing the Australian public getting ripped off for allowing such companies to charge what ever they like or what they think is fair

your house Send it to Greys so they can roll someone for you it’s a ponzi scam and all you’ll end up with is a bag of trash. Keep your eyes open though surely a bag of magic beans should come up for sale soon . I was lucky enough to by 5 watches obviously they obviously didn’t like air as after I opened the box every watch literally fell apart I'm curious as to whether one of the employees or owners travels to Bali to buy heap knockoff watches the try’s to flog them off as real. If I tried to do something like this i would have the full extent of the law thrown at me yet these people get away with it Do not purchase anything from this company if you are after what looks expensive but is a cheap knock off watch go to Bali at least they Will actually work and absolute scam

Follow-up  · Return that’s a joke got pretty much oh well that’s not good from the support centre .delivery was ok but still have a bag full of cr#p that I can do nothing with that I’ve thrown into a drawer in my desk . I keep them to remind me of how I got ripped off and to never do it again . Greys is because of the grey area that they operate in .

Wouldnt even give them a star if i could. I purchased an item and was given 5 working days to pick it up. I supplied everything required — paid invoice, ID, all the correct paperwork — yet when the courier went to collect it and when tried they… Read more

wouldnt give it to him.

I then tried to arrange another time, made the effort again, and was once more refused collection even with all the paperwork needed. . I explained the situation clearly, but instead of resolving it, I was told I had “abandoned” the item — which is completely false. I even provided proof showing I had not abandoned anything including courier emails, etc.

To make matters worse, I pointed out that Monday was Labour Day in Victoria, meaning the collection window should have extended to the 16th. They initially acknowledged this, then later changed their story and said the deadline was the 14th.

Every time I raised inconsistencies, they claimed there was “nothing on the system.” They provided no proof though!! They refused to escalate the issue to management when I requested it. This is the issue when you are using ChatGPT to reply to customers. You cant keep track of dates, etc.

Despite providing multiple pieces of evidence, they said no and yet couldnt offer me any evidence on the contrary.

Don’t buy through them. Don’t use them. Save yourself the headache. They are really S**T!!

Follow-up  · In the end they stated it was my fault that all of this happened and cannot help.

with them due to Slattery Auctions have now taken them over. online , over the phone and yard staff are good ; but same issue with the over the counter collection staff and deregistration of vehicles; I’m currently a week on since collection , no deregistration has occurred and no resolution despite numerous calls and email . Happy to take the cash and provide the same nonsense excuses. They’ll tell you that the vehicle needs to be out of their yard within 6 days or they’ll be charging storage fees ; I’d suggest you don’t collect your vehicle until they’ve cleared registration

Win against deceptive traders, dont allow Greys to play you around ,from my experience if you are unhappy with your Automobile purchase or other & you have paid by means of a Bank Visa card or a PayPal linked Visa card then you are entitled to dispute the payment by making a Bank chargeback, this will if successful enable you to get the transaction amount returned to your bank balance.Chargebacks are invisible to companies in administration.

I recently purchased a vehicle from Gray’s (Grays) for my daughter. The listing showed a clean description with no mention of any transmission issues or engine warning lights. Within about 20 minutes of leaving the lot, the car broke down. When I contacted the seller to request a refund, they refused.

Sold Without Owner’s Consent — Failure to Verify I entrusted my vehicle to Grays via an agent (a friend) under the clear understanding that the vehicle would only be sold if I, the legal owner, accepted the final price. Grays listed and proceeded with a no-reserve auction starting at $9, which I never authorised. After the auction closed I… Read more

immediately emailed Grays requesting the sale be stopped and the car returned — Grays refused.

This is not a petty complaint. Grays accepted possession of my vehicle and did not verify ownership or obtain written consent from me, the legal owner, before completing the sale. That failure to verify basic ownership is negligent and puts owners at risk. It appears to be a breach of the duty of care expected of a professional auction house and may potentially be inconsistent with consumer protection obligations. I have documented all communications and will pursue formal complaints if this is not corrected.

I was nervous while waiting for delivery of my most recent wine order due to GraysOnline's recent business developments, plus the delivery was late, but once again they came through for me. I've been buying wine from Grays Online for years, via auctions and Buy Now, and I've always had satisfying outcomes. The latest was the best; a $75 bottle of wine (x 12) for $15 per bottle.

I would give 0 stars if possible. I purchased a diamond from Grays Online that was advertised as Argyle certified. After copious back-and-forth and repeated requests, they failed to provide any legitimate documentation to prove Argyle certified- as outlined in the ad description. To make matters worse, the valuer they went through later clarified… Read more

that the diamond is not Argyle certified and even stated he didn’t know why it was advertised as such. This is misleading at best, and dishonest at worst.

Grays Online hides behind being “just the middleman” and takes no accountability when sellers misrepresent what they are selling. In reality, they facilitate these sales and should be responsible for ensuring items are accurately described and the seller BN3 Coins in NSW didn't respond to emails.

Between the misrepresentation, refusal to provide proper certification, and lack of accountability, I can only describe this as a rip-off. BUYER BEWARE do not trust the descriptions on their auctions, especially with high-value items like diamonds. https://www.grays.com/lot/0008-2567917/fine-jewellery/0-30-carat-fancy-deep-brown-pink-argyle-certified
