has have to had 4 temporary repairs to the throttle cable whilst waiting over 18 months for GreenField to supply a new throttle cable assembly with constant phone calls with either no return calls or promises that a new cable will be available soon.

Does GreenField have any idea how long it takes to mow 2 acres with a 15 year old Honda push mower that by the way still starts first time every time. I have lost count of the number of times I've had to mow by hand whilst my $7000 mower is in the shop again getting temporarily fixed.

Oh and the add also said that a grass catcher is available for the 42 inch fast when in fact it's not. Another reason they should give me a refund. I'm sick and tired of raking grass.

My mower only has 50 hours on the clock and when it does start it doesn't even give a nice finish to the lawn. Please save yourself some money and get something else.

Don’t buy a new Greenfield! – I bought what I thought was the best mower for the money to mow 3 acres. What a joke.....constantly breaking cutting (8) & drive (3) belts, had all the cutting deck pulleys replace twice, had a fire on the deck when another pulley ran dry & overheated, now a 3rd rebuild of the drive coming up. been pushing their mowers too hard. Not the case. Only asking mine to cut 2.0 acres of lawn, as I have a 75 hp tractor and slasher for the heavy duty stuff.

PROS;

Build quality is terrific, seat very comfortable for a tall person, what a terrific canary yellow paint job! This mower just looked so special in the dealer's show room.

Very powerful 25HP V-twin motor, perhaps it just has too much torque for the belts???

Australian made, so spare parts availability for years to come.

CONS:

Currently under 50 hours on the clock and 3 drive belts and 3 cutting belts later. Engineering an issue. Product Recall required ???

This mower creates a Mallee dust storm every time it is used. The exhaust from the twin mufflers is directed downward by the bumper bar protecting them from damage. Start off with clean overalls and come off the mower after 2.0 hours looking like I have been on the Dakar Rally.

Fuel tank is too small for a V-Twin 25 HP motor. Easy to run out of fuel.

Hand brake is behind the driver's legs, and easily forgotten. No warning light like a car / tractor.

DISAPPOINTMENTS:

Christmas 2016 I received a Genuine Greenfield "Grader Blade" for this mower. Within 10 minutes use after fitment, I realized there was a problem. Contacted Greenfield and received very prompt customer service. The Grader Blade DOES NOT FIT the 42" cut model because Greenfield extended the chassis by 75mm or so to take the 42" mower deck. We received a refund in full for the grader blade from the dealer, just the inconvenience of fitting and unfitting the part and damage to the brake peddle and rubber ( rubber replaced for free ).

RECOMMENDATION:

Bad investment (RRP $7,000+ ); Unreliable due to premature belt perishing.

Do not purchase this Flagship 42" cut from Greenfield.

ADDENDUM:

I have now imported Gates Blade Runner belts from the USA. Drive Belt: 6652BR and Cutting Belt: 6599BR. The drive belt is marginally shorter and the adjustment pulley is now sitting at midway adjustment rather than nearly at full adjustment, so there is now more tension on the automatic adjustment spring. After 5 hours of operations the belt is not showing any signs of perishing, and the hydrostatic foot control is also more responsive (able to go very slowly if I want to).
