I would like to thank grouptogether for the wonderful job they did with Ross Gliddon's flowers and gift card. Ross's email address was block by his employer but there was an area to send another email address for Ross. Ross was finally able to open the gift and the flowers arrived on Friday. Thanks again.

placate me and blame Ticketmaster. No you sell the cards you should vet them. Now i waited 12 months for RWC tickets to come up also on Ticketmaster, and this time a normal local ticket event. No still can’t use them. Group together has stolen my money as far as I’m concerned, Up until now every time a card goes aground at work I’m too embarrassed to tell my story and begrudgingly participate. No more from now on i tell everyone and anyone how bad they are.

I had a very bad experience with this company. I purchased vouchers for Airbnb($492) and Big W ($20). These were confirmed in my cart however when I went to get confirmation the vouchers I was sent were for Dymocks ($492) and Big W ($20). $492 is what I selected. This is not correct and I have no recourse. I cannot find a phone number and when I ask the chat function for a person in management or a phone number, they do not answer my question. I am frustrated beyond belief. The website is very unfriendly for the person receiving the gift voucher. As I bought myself an E Reader for Christmas, I have absolutely no desire to purchase $492 worth of books as I don't have the space in my house. I will have to give the voucher away which is very disappointing as I am a teacher and it was a gift from parents - the first that I have received like this in 20 years of teaching. But GroupTogether don't care that their website has destroyed all pleasure in receiving this gift. Don't use them - the website is dodgy and there is no one who will address complaints.

There are lots of other reasons it lets you set up for as well, like birthdays, pregnancy etc.

It also offers lots of different options for ways to spend money collected, as well as easily allowing people to only sign the card.

I am truly impressed with the customer service from GroupTogether! I requested to merge my 2 accounts. Within 3-4 hour, they resolved it without any hassle. Charge you to donate and charge you you withdraw money. When i went to withdraw the funds was unable to access them due some unexplained reason. Had to purchase the gift with my own money only to find out that i would be out of pocket due to the withdrawal charge. Was unimpressed with the service.

Never EVER again. Do not use. Customer service is WOEFUL even when large amounts of money are collected. I just organised a large group wedding gift and used GT as I wanted a smooth experience for the givers (who live all over the world) and for the transfer to the bride and groom. days before the wedding (FAQ says 2 days for transfer to happen but I wanted to be safe) BUT it just wouldn't let me - I kept landing on a static web page that had a wishy washy message telling me there was a problem and that I'd get an email? Huh?

I tried multiple times with no joy. Started to worry (as this is not my money) so I started a chat to get customer service involved. No response for over an hour, then I get someone who advises that because my collection is over $10K they need more details from me and that I had missed an email in late December from them asking for this. I totally get this - AML etc. etc. right, its a good thing. So within the same hour I supply everything requested. And nothing. 24 hours later I go back to the same chat because my transfer is STILL blocked. I frustatingly to and fro with the staff member for a few hours querying this service experience and chasing and update. Eventually (nearly 2 hours later of chasing action) the transfer becomes permissible. BUT now it has an estimate of arriving in my bank account in 5 days WHICH IS AFTER THE WEDDING. I am livid. And if I had not chased this A LOT it would be even later.

On the website there is no mention anywhere of extra steps being required if the collection hits a certain limit. Also the amount they are transferring to me after their fees is less than $10K anyway, so why that limit even applied in this situation is beyond me. Lastly the email I received asking for the information in December was not clearly marked for my attention you would think something like this might have a subject line like. "Urgent - Action Required" or "Important information needed for your Group Together". Instead it said "X and X Wedding Present REF 12345" so I thought someone had just contributed to the gift.

For a business that takes a 2% clip of every transaction (more of a clip when you buy their cards or gifts) you would think they may have a bit more respect for their gift organisers' responsibilities of handling significant amounts of money on behalf of others.

I have asked to speak to a stakeholder within the business (not their outsourced VA service desk) and am waiting to hear back.

that these would not be deducted from the total - no mention was made of a separate withdrawal fee, which ultimately left me $686 out of pocket.

When I raised this, the company claimed the information was in their FAQs and terms, but at no point during our direct communication was the withdrawal fee mentioned. I asked clear questions and received an incomplete answer. Their response was dismissive, putting the burden on me for not disclosing my "intentions" - even though I had asked explicitly about fees. This felt not only unhelpful but borderline deceptive.

To make matters worse, their support was slow to respond despite the urgent nature of the issue. I had to chase multiple times and escalate the complaint just to get a clear answer.

A key selling point of GroupTogether used to be that contributors could absorb the total fees - meaning organizers weren't out of pocket. That’s no longer the case, and this wasn’t made clear. Instead of a positive experience, I was left scrambling, frustrated, and financially impacted.

If transparency, accountability, and good customer service are important to you - I suggest looking elsewhere.

Reviewing as a recipient of a gift: Honestly the most convoluted waste of time just to get the "gift card" to even use my gift. Having to try so hard to access the funds takes all the fun out of the gift. Finally worked out how to get it and you can't put it in an Apple wallet or anything had to email it to myself. Probably designed to be so difficult that you give up and don't use it.

Ridiculous. I am now up to email number 5 to retrieve my gift voucher, purchased with my collection. For some unknown reason it seems to be impossible to actually obtain a gift that is available to you from a collection.

Jess provided some of the best customer service I have had in a long time. I choses the chat option and although it took it while the chat feature never lost any of my history and Jess responded as they had information updates. When signing cards on their website the company includes a pop-up that requests money to gift to the person you are signing the card for. However, the company keeps the money for itself and trying to have the money refunded is exceptionally difficult. Also, their staff are particularly unhelpful.

Difficult for multiple people – The system is easy to use if you want to give a card and eGift card to a single person. However, it is not possible to gather messages and distribute them amongst multiple cards. It is best to simply have one card and one gift amount for each individual person.
