I’ve also left a review a number of times on another product that I’d purchased a while back that appears to have people reviewed it and giving the product 5 stars, I’d personally tried to write my own reviews and post them but they never get approved, I did like the product and would recommend it but just noted a few things I didn’t like, but clearly their reviews are fake. I would not trust this company and expect them to go broke in the near future, keeping all of your cash in the process.

absolute nightmare taking many hours and two strong guys to assemble. Tried contacting Gym Direct but just get texts saying they'll phone and they don't. No replies to emails either. Have never received an invoice or receipt. I can just imagine trying to contact them if there's a warranty issue at any time. In the end went to my credit card company and got refunded. Shonky and then some!!
Follow-up · It is a well-made product and was not expensive at$856 . I think there was a sale on when I bought it. However, Gym Direct's response to my review shows their attitude too well. No comms and no thousand buck crosstrainer – No comms - apparently it takes 10 days for items not to come from Melbourne to Sydney. They only reply by sms if you use their onsite chat window. They ignore emails and I now read here that they routinely take money for things they dont have and just go silent. Should have checked here first. Next stop Fair Trading if they don't refund.

Gym Direct - Muscle Motion P607 Dumbell Rack – I recently purchased the Muscle Motion P607 Dumbell Rack for my set of Celsius Hex Neoprene coated Dumbells. Excellent rack at a great price. Weights 2kg to 10kg fitted perfectly- just had to make a minor bend adjustment to fit the 1kg weight into the top slot as the width was slightly too wide. You get what you pay for – When I first set up my home gym, I spent over $4k at Gym Direct. Loads of free weights, a huge power rack, couple bars, all that good stuff. There were a few things that lasted and were decent quality. - The adjustable bench? Indestructible. - The rubber weight plates? Same as any other mid tier plate on the market - perfectly fine. - The… Read more
rubber mats? Indistinguishable from anything else on the market. - The power rack? Solid, reliable and robust, with a stellar multi grip pull up bar.
There were a few things not so good. - The barbells? Absolute garbage. Knurl inconsistencies, one has a warp, bearings were 'crunchy'. - The stretch/loop bands? Poor stretch profile and disintegrated quickly. - The high low pull down/row? Average mech at best and not great ergonomics. - The customer service? Left me wanting.
I've never bought from there again, and while I'd recommend the specific bench I have (that I don't think they sell any more) , I am not confident in recommending for someone to shop there unless you can get into their shop front, get hands on the gear, and return in person if you have any issues. Some good products for fair prices, but some gherkins, and dealing with them remote presents some complications. There are too many other options for comparable or better quality at comparable prices.
I've since bought and/or sold some 20k worth of gym equipment. My gym is well stocked, but is not all 'Gucci' branded. This should indicate both my relevant experience (good and not so good) gym gear and my experience with gym gear vendors.
Of the original setup, the only things I have left are the bench (which is great) and the barbells (which I keep as beater bars and for nostalgia).

There are lots of whingers in these reviews. My experience with Gym Direct was excellent. Ordered four pairs of dumbbells (over 180kg total) on a Monday night. They were at my door on the Wednesday morning. Great quality for home use and good price point for what they are. Delivery costs were very reasonable, and I was emailed tracking details and updates.
Great equipment, top quality and exactly what I saw on the website was delivered. Easy to navigate for what you are looking for, shipping ok and they let you know that the item was on its way til delivered

correctly he kept telling me that he didn't understand instead of trying to guide me. Tone was pretty harsh. You would think that the first contact over a phone call would need to strike the right cord! I'm not an expert in this area, he made me feel like I was incompetent. Once we cleared this up I asked if he was willing to negotiate on weight plates. I was told that he knew the market well ( arrogant sales person who should know better). He basically put me in a position where I would never purchase anything from Gym Direct ever again. Harry, its not just about price! Bad sales approach and bad customer service especially to someone who is an existing client.

Products and service is good, but the email and SMS spam is that follows is awful. Something every 2nd or 3rd day. Will interrupt you while at work or while trying to look after the kids. Hitting the unsubscribe button does not appear to work. Really off-putting. Maybe try Rebel Sport, Sports Direct, Sports Power, Jim Kidd Sports, etc, etc. But not this. Never buy anything from here again. Nonsense – I think all the 5 star review is fake and come from their worker. I miss my items even when i stay at home to wait a call to pick up the items but they just send a stupid pic say that the item’ve deliveried. Then i lost money and miss the items with just a Sorry.

Excellent delivery – Excellent service, treadmill arrived within days. I live rural Nsw and the cost and timing of delivery was amazing. The treadmill was fairly straightforward to assemble and so far is a good product.
Would recommend – Would recommend GymDirect. They put up with my endless questions about fitness gear vs cost. Anyone who does deserves repeat business. I know I’m going to love my Harrison 610 fitness bench for my home gym.

Sells items not in stock as if they were – Terrible customer service. More than 3 weeks and still waiting for delivery of an item that was advertised as in stock. Incompetent staff providing conflicting messaging and constant back tracking on previous commitments. Don’t use this place.

It’s great – Gym direct is a fantastic site don’t be mislead by some of these ratings (2 stars avg) it is excellent, the cheap east prices for gym equipment online in aus trust me, they have everything you need delivered to your door in days.
80kg and 20kg adjustable DB set – I bought 2 sets of the 20kg adjustable dumbbells and an 80kg adjustable dumbbell set and both are great. Great quality and easy to use. I use them for every home workout. Shipping was fast and easy to deal with as well.
False advertised clearance items – Advertised clearance item (20kg plates) and compared the sale price for 1 plate to the pair price saying you are saving $118 when you are only saving $68. When I questioned this they just said they will speak to IT team about wording and did not honour the saving price.
Didn't experience the same problems – the entire process was smooth and there were no issues with the order. Everything arrived on time and exactly as expected.
Customer Service – I ordered the standard weight plates for my son not knowing about the different size holes. They called me and explained the difference and changed my order for me. That is excellent service! (I haven't received the plates yet as I only placed the order today.)
The worst service ever – Stay well away from Gym Direct. They are very happy to sell you products but you need to hope that nothing goes wrong - because if it does, they will not help! Sure they will answer your call and tell you that they will take care of it. But will you ever get a response - NO! Absolutely unprofessional.
