the installer arrived as arranged at 7.30am and it was arranged for the electricians to be there at the same time. The whole job was professionally done by 9.30am and the place was left clean and tidy. They even removed the old canvas awning on one window at no extra cost. It is early days, but we have been reassured that if we have any issues just to ring them and they will sort it out to our satisfaction. We believe they will be true to their word. removed] who apparently is a Technician but doubles as a Sales Consultant, was the worst person I have ever met to provide a quote.

Not only was his price double of competitors for the same service, he argued with me in front of my young children that I was full of bull$hit (HIS WORDS!) when I tried to negotiate a price and explain my reasoning. He then proceeded to say stick the quote and don’t call Half Price Shutters again! Like I was the problem? It was so bizarre how he snapped!

I obviously told him he was being disrespectful in my home and to leave. He then stormed out and skidded out of my driveway.

Honestly I’ve had some bad service / tradesman since Covid but this bloke takes the cake!!!

Do yourself a favour, do not let this person in your home. Especially if you’re a female alone as it was VERY confronting ! Being sworn at in front of my kids was down right degrading.

Adjust your attitude and show some respect towards women, their kids and people in their own homes!

round to quote said he only needed ten minutes of mu time. After measuring the windows said, 'if you have somewhere to sit I can give you a quote now. This was 30 minutes after the first quote I got where they lied about the opposition using thinner cheaper slats. The first company to quote took 5 days to get back to me. They were $1100 dearer! After dealing with Greg, I cancelled the third quote of the day, and paid the $1000 deposit the following morning. Most other companies told me they would need 1 to 1.5 hours of my time for the sales talk. I hung up on one company! The electricians Joel and Brian from BRW Electrical services were polite and informative about how to wire up the shutters and where I wanted the switches. They cleaned up, thanked me and left. Brian did tell me the relay switches on my master power board were not working and showed how they were failing. I got them to come back this morning to replace them and check the rest of the house wiring. I would recommend Half Price Shutters and BRW Electrical Services to anyone!!!

UPDATE: August 1, 2018. - Well as promised just had 4 more roller shutters installed today by Half Price Shutters WA. Becuase I was so satisifed with the whole service and product we received last time we didn't need to bother with quotes from other operators as I trusted Half Price Shutters. Again the whole process was faultless from quote to second measure and install. The installers and sparkies used for the job were first class. We only had the second measure done last Friday 27 July and the job was completed today ( Plus they looked after us as repeat customers). Can wholeheartedly recommend you give them a call if you're considering roller shutters.

reps and installers don't know about their product – Ordered Plantation shutters and told rep that fly screens yet to be installed. The rep also measured up and could plainly see that the flyscreens had yet to be installed. He said nothing indicating no problem. Installers came and installed the shutters. much room. Rang Half Price Shutters and [Name Removed] confirmed that awning windows needed the flyscreens installed prior to the shutters. She referred me to [Name Removed] who basically said "not my problem". I suggested that his reps and his installers should have told us that flyscreens needed to be installed first before the shutters. I said surely they are the experts on the product and surely they had a responsibility to tell us. But he said that he uses contractors to install - not his employees. And the rep wouldn't know. Also on closer inspection of the installed shutters, there are fixing holes that have no screws and the caps on the screw holes were hastily stuck on. They also initially neglected to include plastic stoppers on the base of pvc shutters installed in the bathroom. They did fix this. But again this was before the flyscreens were to be installed - they said nothing. My suggestion is not to use this company. If you have a problem they will not work with you. Suggest you find a company that does not use contractors.

Regret giving them business – Regret giving them a business...they did terrible Job . They are now playing cat and mouse game since one year. The boss is same hopefully he reads this review. Beware. I had enough of this guys. Worst ever.

Although the installers took two weeks or so to come and measure the job for our lounge window it was only five days after that and the job was completed, along with the electricians to install the controller the job took a little over an hour from start to finish and they had to remove a 50 year old metal awning as well. Very happy to recommend Half Price Shutters WA.
