reverse the payment then they started to answer my call. I was able to recover plantation shutter payment and agreed with them for the Venetian blind installation. The quality was absolutely appalling such as cracked slates, edges aren't painted, waste of money.

Terrible service, would not recommend – Had all shutters except one installed in January, was told 1 was incorrect and on back order. Have been ringing / emailing weekly for an update or to get money back, no response just get completely ignored. Rip off merchant would not recommend. Show details

Scammed – Paid around $10k in full as per terms. Months and months later, external shutters installed but guy said he would have to come back ‘on Monday’ to finish. Never did. Now can’t use the balcony as have had to tether the blinds with ugly straps to prevent more damage from them banging open. Several attempts to contact and all ignored. Website ‘closing down’. Will now contact fair trading.

Great Company – From the time we ordered our shutters at their showroom the staff were very friendly and helpful. They organized a free quote and were out within a day or two with a quote. We had our shutter doors fitted last week and are very happy with them. The installer gave us some good advice as we were a bit unsure about a few things. We can fully recommend this Company. Show details

Barely able to open or close windows! – Expected the individual who measured and designed the shutters would have the expertise to identify it would be near impossible to open or close my side swing opening casement windows with the shutters in place. Was promised many times over approx a twelve month period the matter would be taken to management and my complaint responded to. I am still waiting. Show details

Half Price Shutters - Good operators from start to finish – What a great experience from dealing with Marco, who was punctual and very informative when providing a quote for a roller shutter, to the installation being a well-orgainised and precise exercise literally to the minute! As the installer had completed his work on the roller shutter installation, so the electrician arrived to connect the electrical component. Very pleased with this company's ethics and operation.

Don't leave a deposit with them – Be careful!!! after our Sydney friend put down their deposit they never heard from Half price shutters again. When they ring their 136121 number no one answers, when they email the sales no one replies. The company is going through some kind of transition, no one is running the office. Spoke to the sales rep who they have handling customer complaints now,due to most employees resigning and company has relocated online. He keeps on stuffing me around with no legit answers. I wish I had a 0 star option! – We ordered the shutters and it took 3 months for them to be installed. It turns out they ordered and installed the wrong product and we called to get this checked. They sent out a rep to investigate and he acknowledged the wrong product had been installed. Then silence for the next 3 months....nothing...no communication. So then we start to call… Read more

and we get the old "its on its way" fob off each time. No one can tell us when they will be replaced. Trust me avoid this company and buy anywhere else. Literally anywhere else. In fact we found a great company who manufacture in Sydney and install within 2 weeks. We will be recommending and using them instead.

$4000 worth of shutters that don't work – Got 5 shutters installed. They didn't close the first night after installer left. Called the next day. The installer said he knew what was wrong.....so why would he have left the previous day if he knew they weren't working?? Came back a few days later to 'fix' them. to come down then slammed down. Called and spoke to the general manager who said he would come out and fix them. Told us not to wind them all the way up- WTH!! And supposedly 'fixed' them again. Now about a month later, one will not come down at all. Emailed the office- haven't heard a thing. The thing is, we have had two other shutters installed years ago with no problem but now have been stuck with the crappiest shutters that don't work as they are meant to. Not happy. Avoid this company

Incompetent employees – I fitted 2 blinds on my unit 16 years ago and the fitter put the roller the strap runs across in incorrectly. The result of this is that the straps constantly rubbed on the edge of the fittings. I have replaced straps on several occasions. The last time just recently. done. So I asked how much to put motors in, they quoted $870 per shutter. I thought that was reasonable, and placed an order and paid a deposit. The fitter arrived when stated and fitted the motors, and said you must pay me the balance and the electrician will be along soon after I leave. The electrician arrived late in the afternoon, and as soon as he arrived he said one of the motors was fitted on the wrong side. It needed to be on the side nearest to the cavity of the external brick wall of my unit not the solid internal wall. He rang the guy that fitted the motors and he didn't care. The sparky handed me his phone and I spoke to him and offered him extra money to return and rectify his error, and he agreed. Then the sparky was going to leave without doing either shutter and I implored him to the one that had fitted correctly, and he did so. That was 3 weeks ago and neither of them have returned to honour their commitment. My son in law is a sparky and has agreed to come and finish their stuff up. He doesn't work for free.

CHEAPEST IS NOT ALWAYS THE BEST!

terrible service – weve had this roller shutter installed nearly 12 months now it works but looks terrible we complained that it was still letting light in the installer came back and just shoved expander foam in the sides of it its everywhere and looks dreadful rang them again and they said we would be the first customer after christmass to see its now november and emails and calls later nothing still Show details

ready & installed. What a joke. I ordered it 6 weeks before Christmas and got it 2 weeks after Christmas. I only had one blind so it didn’t really ruin any renovations etc but if you are after a quick turnaround or any order bigger than 1 blind, do yourself a favour and buy elsewhere. I also received a quote for plantation shutters for another room in my house but chose to wait before going ahead. Thank god I did as they were big on promises and pathetic on delivery. I will never use Half Price Shutters again.

Were told the shutters were Australian made but now after waiting 15weeks have been advised the shutters are made in China. installation could not occur. So another day off today for installation and the two men arrived to complete the job but were unable to do any work as a key piece of the order was missing. The company’s solution is to order the missing part from China and hope it arrives in about 6 weeks. There is no evidence of helpful customer service or attempt to deliver on their contract once they have your money. Be prepared to engage Fair Trading to get what you paid for or your money refunded.

Customer service sucks big time – Highly disappointed with this service. Got 5 shutters installed only 3 months ago, and one broke in the morning, as I attempt to open them. Called them and the lady already stated that was our mistake, without having anyone to come and see it. I’m now stuck inside, no being able to walk in the patio for 3 weeks!! Very disappointed – Already have their shutters on the front half of house. Quote for 6 more windows. Mentioned the original shutters have faded and are now a different colour to frame: answer if that happens it would be in the first 2 years, we now have a different manufacturer. Issue resolved – Half price shutters ( Enterprises ) has made every attempt to resolve some issues including reordering the Shutters. Half Price Enterprises and myself have now reached an agreement with a satisfactory outcome.

Broken promises – Paid 50% deposit for shutters that were promised in 2-3 weeks. More than 6 weeks later, and countless phone calls, I am still waiting! Calls not returned! Will update this review when/if installed. So far not at all happy.

modifications and at the installation site. For example, aluminium metal filings (a lot) were just thrown into the garden beds and needed to be removed and new much replaced. The motor on one of the rollers didn't work and it took a month before it was fixed. That is, a roller shutter in the down position for a month! The standard of install was appalling and I was told that if I wanted a blackout blind then I would need to seal the edges myself. Not their problem. In the end, I cancelled my final credit card payment that I was required to pay 48 hours before the so called completion of the job. That really did make the blinds "half price" and they are so disorganised they can't even manage to attempt to collect the rest.

I'd like to see them try.

Roller Shutter stopped working - still under warranty but they will not honour it – Claim they went into licquidation and they are not responsible for any warranty from the motor manufacturer (which wouldn't cost them) and want sky high fees to come out to check it. How can they keep the same company name, same address, same website and play dumb....hope the tax dept gets onto these crooks

Angry – After paying a deposit in January, we are still waiting for the shutters. Giving reassurance in early April that they would be ready by the end of the month. Now I can't contact them, feel like I have lost hundreds of dollars, after reading similar posts.

No refund - Voluntary administration – After changing our mind 3 days post paying our deposit, we contacted the company and were told we would be refunded within 3 days. Almost two weeks later we found out they had gone into liquidation. There was a full weeks time between our phone call and the notice of voluntary administration, which I came across on the website after trying to call non stop for days... very disapponting. $2500 out of pocket and nothing to show for it!
