Harris Leech

I rented a property in Ivanhoe via Harris Leech for the last 4 years. All of their agents were great to deal with but my last agent Chin Zen was very helpful and accommodating as well as responsive in a timely fashion, and was very helpful indeed with end of lease matters.

Illegal Entry into Rental – I had a shocking experience with Sam Barbour from Harris Leech Real Estate. Without any prior notification, he attempted to enter my home on a Saturday morning while I was in bed, using his spare keys to unlock my front door, in an attempt to bring over 15 people inside. Barbour responded by calling me a liar and rude. Less than 24 hours later, I received an illegal inspection notice with just 19 hours' notice of their intention to enter my home again.

Every time I sought answers or solutions, I was repeatedly called a liar. Sam Barbour sarcastically suggested I request CCTV footage from the body corporate, knowing well that Harris Leech controls the body corporate committee and he has the ability to deny my request. I requested the CCTV footage but have not received any response.

Sam Barbour broke the law, insulted me, and mocked my attempts to seek justice. Harris Leech Real Estate has offered no explanation or solution to prevent such incidents from happening again. Despite paying my rent on time for over two years and never making any maintenance requests, this is how they treated me.

Sam Barbour exemplifies the worst stereotypes of real estate agents—dishonest, disrespectful, and devoid of compassion. Avoid Harris Leech Real Estate if you value your privacy and respect as a tenant.

Terrible Customer Service – This is the follow up review about the Property Management services required of Harris Leech in resolving their client's (our neighbour) 30 foot tall tree matter. [Name Removed] even procrastinated this issue by ignoring his client's instructions to deal with me.

We have been so patient in dealing with him since December, 2022. During this period I have brought the attention of his Manager, [Name Removed] who hasn't taken any action! [Name Removed] even asked me NOT TO COPY THE PROGRESS OF THIS ISSUE TO [Name Removed].

Last week we decided to end the matter by arranging the Arborist to remove the problem tree!

Harris Leech has projected a VERY BAD IMAGE TO ALL THEIR POTENTIAL CLIENTS IN MANAGING THEIR PROPERTIES!

extended period of time - no hassles dealing with agents, all communications above board, just very quick simple replies to any issues I had to raise.

I could see that they were excellent at looking after the landlords needs while also making sure the tenant was able to live in peace. If it was a problem with the body corporate that needed to be addressed, they were right onto the relevant person.

The last few years Vanesschka was the rental agent looking after the property and she was amazing and very easy to deal with.

What surprised me most is that we never had any problems fulfilling our obligations to pay the rent but there was the odd occasion when we were forgetful and did pay a day or two late. That said, we were told that Vanesschka gave us great rental references when we moved.

I did have a laugh at some of the trivial negative reviews given to Harris Leech and it is a pity that some people lack perspective.

circumstances and my property manager Todd was completely understanding, patient & helpful. Being in this situation you expect a lot of hard conversations however not once did Todd or Harris Leech give an unpleasant experience and worked with me on finding the best outcome for myself and my landlord.

This experience has gone a long way to make this difficult time for me a little bit more simple, even when everything else seems to be getting harder. I highly recommend Harris Leech to anyone looking for a professional and friendly service & I thank them again for the experience I had with them.

5 YEARS OF HELL – Avoid Avoid Avoid, if you want to keep your sanity. first five days after we moved in there was no cold water coming through the shower taps and apparently that is not urgent??! . We were without a dishwasher (actually taken out of my kitchen for FIVE months), the repair people they send out don't show up or have many excuses why they cant get there (when you've taken the whole day off work!), They have taken 8 months, so far, to get someone out to put my bedroom door back on its hinges because it fell off. Many many many other issues. I could go on and on about all the absolutely ridiculous wait times to get anything fixed. They never chase up anything, always excuses, always blame you first. JUST STAY AWAY FROM THEM!!

Really happy with my property Manager Sarah! – I had a great experience with my property Manager Sarah. I had to break my lease and she made sure it was a seamless transition and was able to rent the place straight away, nothing was too difficult! I cannot recommend her highly enough.

This is extremely unprofessional and we were told that 'its a simple mistake and mistakes happen'and that they could help us with another property. They have apologized but it is safe to say due to this lack of communication we do not feel comfortable renting with them and am hugely dissatisfied.

conditions in the first page and it is hidden somewhere and they easily add some stuff which you are not aware of. they change the leasing contract dates without me noticing! be careful if you are dealing with them

Sandra Haddad and Harris Leech are Excellent!! – I have several properties with Harris Leech and they do a fantastic job. They are always responsive and usually ahead of the game with regards to any issues that I may have. They have always found me excellent tenants. Sandra works vey hard in her job!!

Sarah Krizmanic is great! – Sarah has been a great property manager. Very responsive and always follows up, I highly recommend Sarah! From a tenant perspective, she made the end of lease process very easy.

Great service – Sarah from Harris Leech has been a great agent and provided great customer service. She has always followed up any property issues promptly and has gone above and beyond to assist.

Problem solving – Recently I had a complete power failure and I was really surprised that I could reach my property manager, Shaun, late on a weekend. All repairs were approved immediately and the trades organised without hesitation so I have been very pleased with the response.

Harris Leech Rental Agent - Daniel Siciliano – We rented through Harris Leech for two years and couldn't be happier with their professionalism, organisation and care through out that time. Great Service – I have been with the Harris|Leech for a number of years looking after my properties. I have had little problems that were dealt with very quickly. If a bigger issue was in motion, a discussion took place to resolved. there advice to me on several occasions was timely and provide a good outcome. I would recommend the company as they offer a good service and recommendations.

9 years and No problems – We had a great 9 yar experience with the property managers Harris Leech. They were quick to respond to our calls and assist us when needed. We were even able to negotiate rent at one stage and when we were told to vacate as the property was being sold they were helpful in assisting us to look at new properties.
