Haymes Ultra Premium Expressions Interior Matt

Definitely not the same paint that I have always known – I first used Haymes paint in 1978 when I painted my parents house and never looked elsewhere. I also painted my first home and several others over the years with Haymes and could not have been happier with such a quality product. The uniform and homogenous smoothness felt like as if it had been sprayed with a car painting compressor using just a cheap generic roller. My parents home still has the same coat of paint, looking as good as the first week of painting; ceilings, walls, window frames, eaves etc without any peeling or flaking. I recently built a new home and used some 20 liters of the premium acrylic sealer undercoat followed by 2 coats of some 30 liters of expressions matt to cover 120 square meters of ceilings. No diluting was done either. I could not believe it was the same paint!!! Patchy and very uneven like as if it was painted by a primary school child. I am not new to painting and did nothing different from the superb outcomes from previous jobs. I am of the belief that the new formula is nowhere near as good as it used to be!!!!. Very disappointed after 41 years of loyalty!!! Sorry, but had to declare it. Just my opinion.!!!!
