Disappointed. Could've been better
Living in FNQ, the humidity gets to my hair and makes it frizzy poofy and wavy even though my hair is actually straight. I had started to get dandruff and I tried this out. Yes it did smell amazing but it made my hair even more dry, frizzy poofy and it did not at all get rid of any of my dandruff. It looked overall like I had a witches head of hair. I do not reccomend this conditioner and shampoo. Even one of my friends had bad dandruff and it didn't work for her. She used prescription shampoo and conditioner. At the moment, I am using organic care which I believe is a much better alternative.
This product was not good for my curls and scalp.
I would not recommend for anyone with curly hair or hair in need of extra moisture. I have heard that the shampoo works for some people, but for me and my friend (we both have curls) the product made the dry scalp worse.I had to see a doctor and was told to change my shampoo. I no longer have issues with a dry scalp after getting rid of my head and shoulders shampoo and investing in quality brand.
I have dark hair so I have always hated having a itchy, dry scalp and dandruff. I felt very lucky to have found Head & Shoulders. It was very effective and had a lovely scent. It also got rid of my dandruff after only 3 washes, my itchiness and dandruff went away but returned after a couple of days. It needs consistent use for it to be effective but after two bottles dandruff was completely gone and did not come back for a few months of not using H & S. Overall it did a good job, does what it says it will and worth the purchase.
Purchased in April 2017 for $35.00.
WAS GOOD NOW ONLY SLUDGE
I used the product for several years and the last 2 times I purchased have been terrible! The quality has changed it is thick and sludge like! It is hard to get any sort of lather and I will not buy from this manufacturer again. Ordinary hand or baby washing soap is better and does not leave your hair un-manageable like this excuse for a shampoo!
I do like all the head and shoulders range, and the smooth and silky version is good. If you have fly away hair, it will settle it. I have mostly straight hair so i do find it smoothes my hair out. Sometimes, i think it smoothes it out too much. I like a bit of movement in my hair. I don't style it or use products (i can't be bothered) so i try to encourage it to sit naturally. Too smoothly isn't what i look for, but would still recommend the product to those who want low maintenance hair.
Smooth Yes.... Itchy....Absolutely
I have used this in the past when I had dandruff problems. I recently switched back to it as my other hair cleanser was not doing as great of a job as it once had. I use it no more than twice a week as recommended. It has made my scalp break out and itch something awful. So much so that I have checked for lice in my hair and have never had it. Even though nothing was found with the nit and lice comb, I still treated in hopes of some relief. I have stopped using it, and my head had cleared up and the itching subsided. I don't know what they did to the formula but I absolutely will not be usin gthis again.
Worst shampoo I have ever used
I have been using this shampoo daily for 2 weeks now, and I may as well have poured 3 bottles of white glue on my head. My scalp hurts, and is breaking out in horrible acne. It never seems to wash out no matter what you use. It's continually sticky, even when it's dry, and it even comes off onto my hands if I brush my fingers through my hair. If I try pulling my hair into a pony tail, it literally doesn't move. The part stays exactly where it was, and it only moves if I brush it; but then it stays how it's brushed. It is absolutely the worst shampoo I have ever used in my 35 years! Do not buy it, you will regret it when you cant leave your house for 2 weeks because you look like a greasy hobo.
It did leave my hair soft but..
I used this shampoo and it left my hair nice and clean, but since I started using it, I noticed my hair started falling out a lot. I used to have very thick dense hair and a few months after using this product, I'm left with half the thickness. Very upset with this product.
I really love it, converted for good
It really nourishes your hair whilst taking care of any itching or flaky parts. It's a nice product the smell is great and it feels like a luxurious brand, head and shoulders have upped their game, I've really noticed big differences. I'd 100% recommend to anyone who hasn't used the brand.
I have been using Head & Shoulders Smooth and Silky shampoo for almost a month now and I am very, very impressed with it.My hair looks so healthy, smooth, sublime and shinny. The only thing to improve is the smell,I found it to strong but apart from this it's a lovely product.
Really leaves your hair smooth and silky
Been using both the shampoo and conditioner for years and years. When I have occasionally used other products they have left my hair dry. We started because I had dandruff as a chid and i don't have it anymore so i guess it works on that front?
But its shampoo... and its good... it cleans your hair... like shampoo.
Some tips for healthy hair because i'm feeling generous:
1. Shampoo is for the scalp focus it there, your ends don't need it (they will be washed all they need when you rinse).
2. Conditioner is for the ends of your hair f...
The best shampoo for itchy scalp
I was using Loreal shampoo but it made my scalps dry and itchy. I had to scratch it and I noticed I had dandruff issue too. So I was on a hunt to find a good anti dandruff shampoo. Thank God I found head and shoulders. I only use the shampoo and it got rid of the itchiness within the first wash. And I've been using this shampoo ever since. I love it.
