Average – Ordered on the 10th. Got them on them the 20th even tho I got a email on the 14th saying the delivery had been completed? Product arrived safely well packaged so can't complain too much.
DO NOT USE THESE GUYS! – Purchased bluetooth ear buds... waited a day but saw no email confirming purchase so I emailed and they said my email might be in the junk mail. (uh oh worried already when a domain name is put into the junk). They told me the ear buds will take 4 weeks on back order!!!!!! I said I needed them by the weekend hence I purchased from a Perth shop and… Read more
requested a refund. They said we will put the refund through to accounts... three weeks later the refund came through. DO NOT USE THESE GUYS IT IS A WASTE OF YOUR TIME AND ENERGY. WARNING!
Great service at all stages of sale – Had a great experience with Headphonics, from the clean and easy to use website, easy and quick order process and fast delivery. The headphones I bought stopped functioning after a few months, they immediately asked for me to send them back for replacement. When they confirmed that the unit had a fault, they were more than happy to accommodate my… Read more
request to change product at a similar price and offer free delivery. Nice work guys, really happy to see a boutique business doing good things!
Sold my headphones ti another buyer – Shocking service, shocking returns. Ordered a pair if headphones which I was informed had arrived, however I had to go away for work for 2 weeks. On return, informed that actually my headphones had not shown up and would be another 2 weeks if they placed the order hit shot. Was I lied to ? Of course I was...Asked for refund, took 1 weemk for them… Read more
to get round to putting my money back in my card.. Informed they were "Short staffed". How is that my problem ?. It is your business, run it like a business.....shocking...
Rubbish with Warranties – My little brother bought a pair of $200 Headphones from Headphonic on recommendation from a friend. They broke under warranty and he sent them back, this was over three months ago now and Headphonic aren't responding to emails, my brother is now without his headphones and $200 out of pocket. Avoid Headphonic and buy from a better retailer, rubbish service.
Nice store, but beware of return policy – I found Headphonic to be helpful with the one purchase I have made from them. However, beware of their "no refund" policy. I'm sure that this is a tricky thing to navigate for any online retailer, but from the perspective of the consumer, being stuck with a store credit that you can't use for something that you actually want is probably worse than… Read more
just putting the unwanted item on eBay.
To put it another way, if you are not 110% certain about a purchase, you would be better off buying the item from Amazon (US or UK) instead of Headphonic and taking the risk of a hefty return postal charge than no refund at all.
I do think that Australian businesses in general (that sell online) are a bit "behind the times" and don't realize the advantages gained in terms of both sales and repeat business from offering a comprehensive return/refund policy.
I do like these guys and appreciate their interaction on their forum, hence the "OK" rating (3 stars) but will not buy anything from them again, absent a change to their return policy.
fabulous service – After reading umpteen headphone reviews and becoming more and more confused I called Headphonics. The cut out all the jargon, listened to my music preferences and recommended a pair of Allessandro M1's even though they were the least expensive of my suggestions. I couldn't be happier with the result
Amazing Product Knowledge - Great Service – Best shop to buy a pair of headphones in. They have many demonstration models so you test before you buy. They really understand and test their products so know what to recommend at the different price points. Was able to find the right headphones for me. They stock a wide range of stuff you probably wouldn't find elsewhere. Great Product Knowledge, GreatService.
Failed to reply to emails and return a phone call – About 6 months ago I was after a leather case for my Fiio X3. I emailed headphonic about it and was told that they would look into it, I didn't receive a reply. Then after that I called to place an order for a pair of Audeze LCD-2 headphones. The first call was unanswered and the second call was rude. I simply hung up, called Addicted to audio… Read more
and placed a $1,250 order.
If I was running that business, heads would roll.
There is a distinct lack of customer service at headphonic
Gets the job done quick and easy – Headphonic is a store that was quick and easy to use. When I asked a question regarding payment, they answered me in around a hour. They offer free shipping on many products, and they are quick to arrive unlike some other stores. They might be a bit expensive, but I can live with that. Fast Shipping, Free Shipping, Answers your questions quickly, Many different products, A tad expensive
Good Prices, Great Service – Have contacted the shop for advice for some gaming headphones received some great advice from the friendly staff. They also have a range of great products with good prices. I ordered the product on Friday and received the product monday morning so i was happy that they had processed the order so quickly. Thanks. Good range of high quality products, fast shipping and processing.
Headphonic – Tried (tried being the operative word) ordering a pair of Beyerdynamic DT235 headphones from Headphonic's. After 1 day my money hadn't been taken out of my bank account so I called them to see if there was a problem. Person I spoke with said "sometimes it takes 24hrs for the money to go through". So I called the bank, there were no pending… Read more
transactions in progress. Soooo I called Headphonics back. Was politely told that they don't have anywhere on their online ordering form for you to put your credit card number ??????
NEVER been stuffed around like this before. What is wrong with these people ? XD
Avoid the time and hassle and go someplace else. I'm AMAZED this crowd's still in business. Had an easier time getting teeth pulled.
incompetent rude staff, seem to enjoy making your purchase as painful as possible
Awesome customer service, best I've had in years!!! – Not only have I purchased head phones from them in the past (which came quickly and in great condition I might add) I recently had a question about a DAC that I couldn't find the answer to after looking for several days. Anyhow, I called them up and not only did the guys go home that night and test it out they also called me back promptly the next day with the answer, fantastic!!!! great customer service

Great – First time I've received my order within 24 hours of ordering, item arrived well packaged and in good condition. They were happy to give me in-depth, quality product recommendations and obviously knew their stuff, ended up with a product I'm very happy with and at a competitive price too, couldn't recommend these guys more. Fast shipping, knowledgeable, competitive prices, wide range
Perfect sale – I am usually not one to write reviews about online stores but I felt that I should express my thanks to Headphonic for the good purchasing experience I have just had. I was very concerned in avoiding fake Sennheiser IE80's so went with a supplier with an actual shop front, as well as an online store. Not having dealt with them before I checked out… Read more
this web site and read a mixture of reviews. Most of the negative comments seemed to be based on poor purchase selection and the ramifications of their return.
Knowing what product I wanted and with Headphonic having a good retail price, I ordered yesterday morning (07:30am Sydney). I received my fantastic IE80's at (11:00am) this morning - a great delivery time from W.A. Nice one! Good price, fast delivery - easy purchase.
Excellent source for headphone information and purchasing – I have personally made two separate purchases of an around the ear headphone model and helped a family member make a purchase of canal phones from this store. These purchases were based on information from the store's online website. I have found the information (product pages and forums) to be honest, prices and service to be reasonable and… Read more
packaging to be secure. Overall the products and prices are very competitive but if the product is not in stock it can take some time for the customer to receive their order. Further, the postage times are not express, but most of Australia's population is on the other side of the continent from the store's location. Anyway ... postage is free, and you can't get better than that. Information, reliability, honesty, market competitiveness Some stock not always immediately available
Fantastic! – I've shopped from Headphonic twice. They seem to really know their stuff and give great advice to help you find something that actually suits your budget and needs. In my experience dispatch was very fast. Shipping was also free via Star Track express. I ordered late Monday night and received my headphones Wednesday morning (this was from Perth to Sydney!). great customer service, free shipping
Very Bad Experience Buying Headphones From Headphoinics – I ordered a pair of $400.00 SHURE canal headphones online from Headphonics last week and when they arrived they were not the colour I had originally ordered. I called several times and spoke with the dispatch person about the colour issue and she said that they didn't have the ones I wanted in stock so they dispatched what they had. She also said… Read more
I should have indicated specific colour in the comments box... Needless to say I wasn't happy with the response and told the person on the phone I would be sending them back. A few days later I received an email saying that the box was opened and that the product was used. ( I did not use the product but I did neatly open the box to inspect the product colour but left the box was left in perfect condition.
I called dispatch again in response to the email because I definitely knew that I had not used the product. The girl said that they inspected the product and that they looked used. She also stated that the other colour would not be in stock for two weeks. At this point it was becoming clear that something fishy was going on and my rights to return a product was not being respected. I voiced my mind about their lack of customer service and asked to speak with the manager.
Having the manager on the phone the story then became even more convoluted with accusations that the ear tips had been removed and that there was ear wax in the canals. I then began to realise that this simple purchase was becoming a nightmarish fiasco. I asked the manger why was the tips taken off because I didn't take them off and she said that the person who opened the retuned package may have thought they were returned to be repaired...but that person was not available to explain his actions.
It all made sense to me now that my returned item had been processed as a repair and because of this internal error on their behalf I wasn't unable to get what I paid for. I just received the same product back today and the box had been ripped open ( clearly not the way I sent it )
Thanks Headphonics for getting it wrong too many times to count and for being consistent in providing bad service. Australian distributor Very bad service
Excellent support, great products – I bought a pair of MS-pro's off them and a Meier Audio Corda Swing. Turned out the swing was faulty and had blown my headphones. While I waited for them to be repaired they nicely lended me a pair of MS1"s they died too. I then got my repaired MS-pros back but it turned out that they had not been repaired at all. So they offered me a chance to… Read more
get store credit up to the value that my phones were worth. They also gave me store credit for the faulty amp.
I then got a pair of Audio Technica W1000X and a corda classic I am a very happy customer.
Couldn't recommend this place enough. Outanding customer support, reasonable prices
The best place in Aus for headphones – What I like about this store is that they are obviously keen and serious about what they are selling. They are very helpful making recommendations and they offer an exchange is customer isn't satisfied. They have an excellent range, which seems to be focused more on what they think sounds the best rather than what is easier to sell or more popular. trustworthy, knowledgeable, great warranty They often seem to run out of stock of popular items
Cheapest site for excellent earphones – I've bought three pairs of earphones from Headphonic. The Etymotic mc3 earphones are great for hearing music over the noise of traffic, vacuums etc without turning up the volume and the sound quality is excellent. They've got a mic in them so you can talk hands-free on iPhones, and the remote allows you to change tracks etc. I've found… Read more
Headphonic's service to be good. Ordering is easy. The delivery times aren't super fast, but are reasonable (likely just delays with the postal service), and postage is free. They're always well-packaged. Good prices, free postage.
Excellent – Best place to buy headphones in Australia, great service and after sales support, amazing product knowledge and the best range of products I've come across. Absolutely recommended! Awesome service and support - had a problem with my canalphones and they swapped them straight over for a new pair, brilliant!

Excellent – Brilliant place. Highly recommend this store. They even let you hang around for hours if you want. A comfy couch might be handy for this. Paypal now available! Trustworthy and knowledgeable staff. Great range of products from all across the board. Hard not to spend lots of hard earned cash there ;)
Terrible – Do not buy from this company. This store does not abide by the law, has really poor customer service, and don't stand by the products they sell. They don't refund even when the product is faulty - and they're legally bound to refund. Very condescending towards customers. The headphones we purchased didn't work as advertised (advertised as noise… Read more
cancelling... and they didn't cancel noise AT all). Waste of money, we can't even use them they're so bad. Would have been better off getting $5 headphones from the supermarket !
Don't honour their own claims – I bought some Etymotic MC3 canal phones from Headphonic on a recomendation that they gave good service and from them, that these were good for travel noise. The headphones arrived, with a letter stating that they allowed a 20 day trial period and were happy to exchange if I wasn't happy. I tried the headphones, which I had specifically bought for… Read more
their noise isolation to wear in a motorbike helmet. put them on , put the helmet on, and rode about 500m down the road before I had to pull over and take them off. They were very uncomfortable because they stick out so far, and the helmet pressed on them, pushing them out of alignment and breaking the seal with my ear, so no noise isolation at all.
Ok, so I emailed the address given in the letter to start the exchange for a lower profile set, and the answer is no, we do not exchange canal phones. Why? = hygiene. Ok I say, I'll pay for new tips to replace the ones I tried. No, they say. So I have headphones I can't use, and they won't exchange like they say they do.
Not happy at all. good price deceptive claims, refusal to rectify problem
Terrible customer service and dodgy delivery - still waiting after 6 weeks – I order earphones on 13 December for a Christmas present - delivery times indicated this would've sufficient for christmas delivery. Six weeks later, several emails and phone calls later, I am still waiting. Apparently there was a delivery issue on a bulk shipment with Australia post but communication about refund and delivery status have been… Read more
terrible. I have been told I need to wait until they sort out issues with Australia post before I can get the product or a refund. Cheap
Avoid their refund obligations as much as they can – First pair of headphones I received were faulty, then when I received a replacement they were also faulty. They refused to refund me as I am entitled to under law after I quite rightly didn't want a dodgy product with poor quality control. Only got my money back after a few months after I went to Dept of Fair Trading. Owner was full of excuses… Read more
