draftsman. Every time there was a trade error IE the concreter did not pour the driveway to the width of the garage, only to the door - I was told well you were on site why didnt you tell him what you wanted - not my job and I thought he could read the plans - oh we dont use those was his response then. 'We can fix it, but you have to pay extra", same with wrong windows, etc. He put my home warranty insurance in his name and for half the contract price. - effectively taking my home warranty insurance, till I noticed, and had it reversed - and this was a pattern. There is no variation paperwork, and you don't get legal receipts, everything is done through a company Redline Developments that is not licenced with the QBCC. In the end I paid for my own defects to be done just to get them done. The slab was out of square and the shower was 3/4 in the hallway. The termite barrier was concreted in a way that it all came away from the wall and the list goes on. This builder does not even have a trade, he has a licence but not even a carpenter. They put all the aircon drains at the front of my house when a bit of quality workmanship they could have been not noticeable. There were '3 Notice of Offence' lodged with the QBCC who investigated and he was given 5 warnings, 4 demerit points and a fine - the defects as I said I ended up paying for them myself to avoid further contact with this man and the stress he caused.
