Cheap, does its job – The kid is quickly outgrowing her car seat and being over 4 years, she needs a new booster seat. This one requires you to hook onto an anchor point, which makes me feel slightly safer than others. It does its job, and I just found out you can move the head rest up according to the children's height. And it's cheap, around $70 from Target when I bought it.
Great value – The Boston has now been superseded by the Boston Pro, however the fundamentals have not diminished. Tested and rated highly for safety, they are excellent value for money. We purchased two for our cars. Easy to install and remove as well as lightweight, they have travelled with us by air across the country repeatedly. The removable covers are… Read more
easy to clean and the design is simple, functional and stylish.
The would benefit from extra padding. We cut extra foam inserts as our child got heavier to increase comfort over longer journeys.
We cannot review safety performance as we never had any mishap - hence why only 4 stars not 5.
Great car seat upto about 140cm – I have two of these seats and they have been very easy to install and use on a regular basis. I have found that the seat is getting to short as is the shoulder width for my son who is 140cm. My other child is 6 but tall so i pressume he will not last more than another year. Great crash reviews and ratings which is why i purchased it. I did get it… Read more
on discount and this seat is now a few years old. I would have loved it to be another 5cm deeper, 2cm higher and 2 wider. Looking at the Encore 10 seat but its pricey.
Fantastic safety rating and price – I have bought four Hipod Boston booster seats for my twin daughters (two for Mum's car, and two for Dad's car). The booster seats are very sturdy, and have a fantastic safety rating (see the Child Restraint Evaluation Program (CREP)). I bought the seats from Target, and the price was fantastic.
Highly recommend – I just bought 2 of these seats for my girls 4 and 6 as they had outgrown their old seats. We love them. I did my research and saw it has the highest rating for safety on the CREP website. I am also really pleased with the price, I bought the seats for $99 at Target. I was a little apprehensive when I saw them on the shelf as I was expecting a lot… Read more
more cushioning and it looked flimsy - I had to do a re-check to see if they were actually the seats recommended on the website. TBH, I was really second guessing getting them - but I did in the end and once they were fitted into the car they looked fine. It doesn't have a recline option but we did a 2hr trip in the car the other day and the girls slept great due to the side wing support - no hunching/leaning fwd/sore neck. So far so good. Highest 5-star safety rating, inexpensive Maybe it has to be this way to be safer...not sure...but it doesn't have as much cushioning as I would have liked. Especially on the actual sitting part.
Safest, cheaper than others and a great fit – It was a toss up between this booster seat and the one from a different brand that has a similar safety rating. For me the Hipod Boston won... because - This one is actually safer according to CREP - This one is cheaper than the one that is rated slightly less safe - It is a few cm narrower than the other brand. This was essential as it meant… Read more
two of these plus one other baby seat can fit across the back of the sedan with JUST enough room for the two older kids to reach between the seats to do up their seatbelts.
SO - No need to get a people mover to accommodate the 3 child restraints! WINNER!
(Plus it was easy to install, the kids find it comfortable so far, anti-submarining design mean that we don't need to use an anti-submarining clip) Safest, cheaper, narrow
Great safety rating – Excellent seat with 5 star safety rating. Very roomy but also not too wide in the car. Very comfortable I am told by my son. Really happy with this seat. Great price and at the time I purchased it it was number 1 in safety for booster seats on crep website which is why I purchased it. Safety rating Nothing
Great booster, nicely priced – We have two of these and have been used from 4 years until 7 years. I like the flexibility of them, so that they can move to fit the slant of the seat - eg we have a Pajero and can put the seats on an angle when we go on a long drive so the kids can sleep without being hunched over. like the flexibility of them, light weight, height adjustable,… Read more
skinny, great price Not as sturdy as some, but also not in the price range of the better quality/ sturdier boosters
Great booster seat – This seat is lightweight, easy to move and install, not too wide meaning you can put more than one in your car and still manage to have a little bit of room. Nicely padded around the head area for the littlies falling asleep while in the car. Easy to clean fabric for those spills. light, easy to install and clean
Hipod Boston – Overall it's a great little seat which is narrower than the Barcelona, so it fits better in smaller cars. It has the seat belt guide, so it is easy to use with a normal seatbelt. The only thing I have found is that the adjustable head height is a bit loose in one of my 2 seats, so it keeps dropping back down to the lower point. Nice and narrow. Has easy to use seatbelt guide. Loose head height adjustment Show 2 replies
