I’m trying to connect an external sound bar through the optical outlet but where the outlet is labelled on the back of the tv there doesn’t appear to be anywhere to plug in the cord. Instead, it’s a weird little plastic piece sticking out, akin to a plug agonist. Am I imagining things?

Hi Ted, I worked on that same model. The power connector has dry solder joints on the power supply board. Please use some flux and resolder the connector on the base of the PCB.

Fantastic advice... I solved the problem in 1/2 hour and saved myself call out calls and charges for a tv repair man...no wonder they were skool keen to come and check the tv !!!!! Thank you

There are no apps in this tv. Chromecast is the only way I have ever used it
