function is smooth, the on glass controls are easy to use and understand and the fact that it does not need to plumbed in for the ice maker is an advantage as the fridge is on the opposite wall from the plumbing. There are some aspects that are not so pleasing. The glass is very easily marked with hand prints and on black looks quite unpleasant. I have had to stop putting lettuce in the vegetable compartment as it always freezes, no matter how the settings are changed and the freezer compartment does not really allow for bottles to stand. The bottles prevent the drawer from closing. However, these are minor things in the grand scheme and overall I am very happy with my purchase.
