In the beginning they will try to gain your trust by pretending they care and have your best interest at heart. Don’t be fooled, once they hv you where they want you and you drop your guard, their true colours come out. They will twist your words, bullying your GP and try to sneak information to use against you, they will not pay you for weeks so as to break your back and you give up or starve, and hv the audacity to say they were on holidays and some one else forgot to process it.. all LIES to break you. Get yourself a good lawyer, don’t answer their questions via ph, email only. Do what I did, RECORD them if u hv to speak to them! You will end up worse because of their games and unscrupulous tactics! We can’t ALL be wrong, look at all the reviews! Look at the 4corners expo which people r still talking g about! Lawyers r now saying their days are numbered so hopefully some caseworkers will end up on the unemployment line with their limited English. Disgusting Company! – Icare only care about taking your money. 9% cost of insurance for total wages for cleaners is an absolute joke!! Please explain how vacuuming a floor is considered dangerous! They hold a workers compensation insurance monopoly over NSW business' as there is nowhere else you can go. It will cost us 50k per year! What a scam! Show details

shoulder we proceeded to work any way 2 hours goes past hed stuffed 3 cladding sheets and he had the poos and he was working in front of me and i look up and hes whinging any way he come up to me 5 minute later and leave 2 weeks later i get a worker comp claim saying hes fractured his back but it took him 3 day to got to a doctor not hospital anyway we go thru the motions i state numerous times he never fell he was at a specialist the day before and had been on a colostomi bag the last week cos his nervous system on his right side was giving up etc etc this guy is a contractor icare deemed him as a worker not at any stage did i feel icare were working with me seeing as tho i pay them they were on the other guys side from day dot amd didnt listen to a word i said the whole time and in this little small town everybody know this guy has been working the whole time the last 10 months and icare have deemed him safe to do back to work i get a letter form his solicitor say he wants total perminant disability benefits for the rest of his life I might add not once were we shown any of this guys medical documents but ask numerous times for the evidence Nor were we ever given an update Nice work icare dont do anything when a paying customer raises concerns any wonder your review are terrible Stay well clear of this terribly run company that do not looking after there paying customers they will take the worker side straight up its like they didnt even listen you will be nothing they take money and up your premiums

BENT BEDFRAME DOESN'T MATTER TO MANUFACTURER – I purchased 2 of these beds in mid 2021, with matresses. They are supposedly a top of the range electric bed. LEDs not all working. This is minor side issue, and nothing to do with the main problem, and frankly not a worry, but I was run around in circles being told that I needed to pay for a service tech to come out and inspect the controllers. Firstly I don't see why I should have to pay for a warranty service all, and secondly the major issue wasn't being addressed. My worry is that, with the brackets being bent, that the frame could collapse causing serious injury. I took photographs, annotated them, clearly highlighting the degree of the bends. Eventually the manufacturer finally sent the retailer a message saying that the bent brackets didn't matter, and weren't important. So, I ask, why make them straight with a 90 degree bend, if their shape doesn't matter, and, why, if the shape doesn't matter, the bent brackets appear to cause occasional intense shaking through the bed frame. The bed, generally is great, very comfortable when it's not shaking, and with all the important features ( I don't need massage, just good range of motion, and smooth, quiet operation. However, given the disinterest the company has shown, in honouring their warranty commitments I could not, in all conscience, recommend this bed to anybody.

every call is that the attendant says that the payment is gonna be made but till now nothing. Not even an explanation. That is only the main problem but really the service is disgusting. By now I keep calling them but I do not believe that the payment is gonna come through. Just to prove what I am saying you can check the email I asked for to one of the attendants.

Scammers – Icare are supported by EML and vice versa. If you are going thru workcover make sure to record everything said. the call and seemed unaware that I had been waiting. They informed me that the verification was to be reinitiated so as to help with my query. When I raised a complaint about this treatment in the same call, I was put on hold for an additional 10 minutes just to lodge the complaint. There was a complete lack of respect for my time as a customer.

Icare Insurance. 18 years in business myself. I'm am about to resolve workers comp insurance with them – A business model of school bullying and demanding. Thankfully I ceased trading 12 September 2023. Good to see competition to this monopoly control. eg.monthly payment due email no payment amount? No correspondence with me in any form of contract renewal of previous terms .no option or authority? Sorry examples of customer relationship. Complete and utter muppets – I own a business that spends $30-40k/yr on iCare premiums. They create instalment plans then cancel them halfway through, they send us the same bill repeatedly with different amounts on it, and they refer our bills to the State Debt Recovery Office when we have an AGREED INSTALMENT PLAN. with, they don't know their a** from their elbow and we end up having to spend valuable time and resources following up and fixing their mistakes. Two weeks later they change their mind without telling us and then start chasing us for different amounts, treating us like we're scum for "not paying our bills" when we were paying EXACTLY what they asked for.

I would be embarrased to work for such an incompetent organisation.

Been waiting since July 2022 for surgery approval – Injured my shoulder July 2022 took 4 months to get approval for MRI, yo find out I have tears in my shoulder. I was supposed to get surgery in February 2023 but a few days before they would not give approval, still waiting for an answer. I have lawyers working on it down as they have mentally broken me down. Gradually icare & solicitor will drag your case for the next 6x months to exhaust you off

Happily they will send a mind blowing Liability Dispute Letter, stating that your claim has been unsuccessful & will give you a 2nd opportunity to appeal

Their strategic master plan is to try their level best to wear & tear us down, just like all other insurance departments advised by my GP & Specialists

In my past experience, keep chasing them just like “Snake & Ladder” game

Meaning apply “Reverse Psychology” on them, by calling & emailing & pestering them every week until they surrender

Eventually they will come up with a good wise decision

Finally don’t forget to praise the “Lord God Almighty” “Amen”

More stress, how are you supposed to recover from your injuries with no help or support – Been on workers comp for nearly 4 years after a debilitating and serious issue, I am more stressed now then when I was actually working. Takes forever to get simple treatments approved and have to call them nearly everyday to chase up weekly payments, reimbursements and approvals, how are you as an injured worker actually supposed to recover ? working days if they had any questions. I was never contacted. Started receiving payment notices for this policy, sent an email back to them with a copy of the screen shot and cancellation information..crickets. Followed up with another email advising if they did not respond i considered the matter closed and would contact the Ombudsman if they harassed me for further payment. Once again, crickets. Then they sent me an overdue notice 2 days later. I phoned, was on hold for 40 minutes and finally spoke to Rohid who told me the policy was not cancelled and then hung up on me. What do i do now? I guess the only option is to contact the Ombudsman, Fair Trading and the local member for the very, very dodgy NSW government scheme. While I’m at it, i think I will put in a formal complaint against Rohid because he was just completely rude and useless. An absolute oxygen thief.

adhere to the law. I believe that ICare have only just gone through a big enquiry with sackings made, though this has had little effect on the agency. ICare needs to be disbanded as they aren't fulfilling their obligations in any sense of the word, and are a lap dog of the insurance companies.

very low risk for injury and on a low income. To me this is just box ticking cookie cutter insurance and not personalized and reflective of each workers situation. If I had a choice, I would choose to not insure myself as it would be detrimental to my business to put a claim in and be off work-I would go broke, but no, the government insist I must have the insurance.

Immoral tactics – CAse managers ignore emails or pretend not to receive documents to delay reimbursement. Took months and many emails to finally get whwat I was entitled to. They hope you will just give up and not worry about it. Company wide tactics. As each manager has to hit cost targets to earn incentive bonuses, they hang you out to dry for their own profit. Very poor billing and communication – Canceled policy 18 months ago and thought everything had been finalised (as per email received) until I got a call from State debt recovery. Thinking there'd been some mistake, told State debt to follow up with icare. Next point of contact is follow up letter from State debt with $65 late fee on top  Show details

Attempts to charge penalties that exceed 50% of policy cost – I have their legal department chasing me for filling fee's for a standard workers comp policy, after we defaulted tow instalments. Not only did we pay it in full, but the penalty was for half the rate of the policy. Extortive and unethical intimidation tactics.  Show details
