We’ve been using iCare Super for over a decade! Excellent SMSF services. I’ve even referred a few clients to them, and they’ve been really well looked after. Great service – couldn’t recommend them more!
Transferred my SMSF to iCare Super about 5 years ago, and the experience has been great! They provide excellent support and technical knowledge. My SMSF tax returns are always on time and their fees are quite competitive. I highly recommend them!
iCare have been very supportive, and deals with issues we have raised very promptly. We have been with iCare for 3 years, and can highly commend them to any other SMSFs to use their services

I removed iCare as the agent at ATO portal and appointed another agent in July 2024. iCare/ [Name Removed] had (and probably still has) a business system whereby he charged monthly fee as the only option for SMSF annual return. services. I am a new entrant into the SMSF. Somehow iCare still held onto the ASIC agency position knowing that I had not paid the monthly fee since July2024 . [Name Removed] at iCare said that he was not aware that iCare has been removed as agent in the ATO Portal. But he was aware that I did not pay the monthly fee since Apr2024. [Name Removed] only removed himself as agent on 25June25 (as told by ASIC staff over the phone) resulting in miscommunication between me and ASIC. Had [Name Removed] removed himself as agent much earlier, I would not be charged 2 late fees worth almost $500. [Name Removed] said that I should have reached out to ASIC myself. I checked on the ASIC portal, it did not show any bill from ASIC nor any information about who the agent is unlike the ATO Portal which shows the agent. [Name Removed] knew that for an SMSF to run, it would need both ASIC and ATO be compliant. My SMSF became non-compliant as a result of failure of Mr Ma to remove himself as agent back in July 2024. [Name Removed] may have health issues?. When I talked to him on the phone in May 2024 to set up the corporate structure, I overheard him abusing his staff. He was blaming his staff for mistakes the staff made. Because of that, and because of the monthly fee structure, I decided to remove him as agent and appointed another company as agent. I was not aware that ASIC did not operate in synchrony with the ATO. Moreover, apparently the anniversary date can be changed.
iCare/ [Name Removed] said he would write to ASIC for a fee-waiver review. After about 2 weeks, iCare still has not lodged the fee-waiver review not did he inform me that he would not do it. [Name Removed] said I need to appoint him as the agent. I have given [Name Removed] a reference number from ASIC that it is not a requirement to do so as long… Read more
as I consent for him to act on my behalf. [Name Removed] then sent me another email requesting me to be agent without clarifying whether there are any fees involved. I asked if there is any fee for that? He would not respond. I then asked why did he not apply for an extension of the anniversary date knowing that he was not able to contact me. I am still waiting for a response from [Name Removed] about this. He should have told me either way during the last 2 weeks. I need to respond to ASIC ASAP if [Name Removed] chooses not to respond on my behalf. It seems that [Name Removed] insists I pay $200 for him to be agent, the fee that was not discussed prior. [Name Removed] had more than 12 months to inform me of that fee and explained what it was for. The SMSF was set up in April 2024 by [Name Removed]. In July 2024, I appointed another agent and removed iCare as agent. The new agent did not seem to send an ethical clearance letter to [Name Removed]. Now I got sent 2 late fees by ASIC worth $409 which I have to apply for a fee-waiver. I need to know whether [Name Removed] is going to apply on my behalf or not. And I need to know whether [Name Removed] was aware he could have applied for an extension of the anniversary date to prevent the late fees being charged to me, knowing that he could not get in touch with me.
At the very least, knowing that there would be late fees charged, [Name Removed] could have applied for an extension of the anniversary date. [Name Removed] should have informed me of the fees months before the anniversary date as the agent.
This way I may decide not to proceed with continuing with [Name Removed] as agent and subsequently [Name Removed] could have removed himself as agent (before the due date and not after the two late fees). And therefore, I would have received the bill directly from ASIC.
Moreover, after the first late fee, and [Name Removed] did not achieve communication with me, [Name Removed] should have removed himself as agent instead of removing as agent after the second late fee. It seems that [Name Removed] is not experienced and incompetent in dealing with ASIC and in doing business resulting in me being charged late fees as a newbie.
Useless - and that's being kind – Make sure you ask questions before signing up with this [Content Removed]. I asked a couple of simple questions and have been given the run around for about 2 months now, and still do not have answers to questions they should know. [Name Removed], the director has no idea what he is doing and has stopped answering emails, so glad I didn't give them my money.

this when one of us got sick and there was the risk of only having one trustee. Knowing what we know now we would recommend setting up your super as a Corporate Trustee from the start. That being said iCare made the change very easy to do. The reason we chose iCare was the existing online service that we were using didn’t support a full range of legitimate SMSF investments and had restrictions on bank accounts and brokers. iCare SMSF allowed us much more flexibility. To get the best experience it is important to do good record keeping which is requirement of any SMSF. Thank you Gavin and the team at iCare for your support over the years, we look forward to many more to come.
I’ve been with iCare Super for nearly 6 years, and their service has always been excellent. Queries are answered promptly via phone and email, and their knowledge of SMSFs is outstanding. I highly recommend them!

Excellent service despite complex needs – iCare handled my SMSF expertly, despite multiple accounts and investments. Nothing seems too complicated or difficult and they had advice for managing difficult scenarios. I don't think you'll find a better provider that allows freedom to choose your own investments (within the scope of your deed and the relevant super laws and guidelines).

Great and Efficient Service at Economical Price – This is the first year that iCare Super has looked after my SMSF. They handled the transfer from the previous accountant very efficiently for me. I was told what records they needed after the end of the financial year - I sent them in and they did the rest. All emails have been answered promptly and courteously. Cost is very reasonable.

Never again! – iCare super has a payment system that meant by the time my return was due I had paid almost 2 years fees. My first draft of the return was completely wrong. After I told them what figures belonged in what boxes, they changed them but with no explanation. My return still has not been lodged and is now 6 weeks overdue. directly because of poor communication. iCare would not apply for an ESA for me- I had to do this myself. My ESA was not correctly registered with the ATO and I had to complete the registration myself despite being informed by iCare that they had done it and by the ATO that iCare should have done it but didn't do it completely. I am currently facing the possibility of ATO penalties for late lodgement, despite having engaged iCare 9 months ago.
Good, consistent, service over a number of years – We've been using iCare pretty much since they started several years. They've proven extremely helpful on those occasions when we've needed to solve a problem or meet a filing deadline.
Excellent SMSF Administrator – I had last year's tax return and audit for my Super Fund done by iCare Super. A few issues came up that had to be clarified and resolved, but the staff at iCare Super showed a lot of patience, concern, professionalism and specialist knowledge to complete the work in good time and at a reasonable cost. So Easy and very Efficient – The SMSF set-up process is likely to be an absolute minefield unless you have specialist knowledge. iCare Super explained the steps and fees with uncommon clarity on their website. Because they made it so easy it was an obvious choice to have them administer my SMSF.
