caused any grass that was laid to die and now smells. our front door is bowed and the wind blows directly through it. I have raised numerous maintenance requests with the maintenance department and they kept quoting COVID as an excuse, however now that works can be carried out there is no response to my emails. I have asked for a full refund of the landscaping package and i will engage a good landscaper to complete the job properly. the landscaper that was used by IH removed sections of the fence and didn't replace it correctly, so when we had some strong winds the fence blew over and i had to engage another fencer to fix and add steel posts. Everything about our built appears to be of low quality other than the dishwasher and oven. Since we moved in we have had to re paint the entire inside of the house as the finish was sub standard, replace the flooring as the tiler had laid the wrong tiles. The plumbing outlets for the washing machine and dishwasher are located in the middle of the cupboards which now renders the cupboards unusable for anything else. the corners of the slab are broken. The letter box was not concreted in and when the wind blew for the first time we were in our house it fell over. I would not use this builder or recommend them to anyone.

is always in defensive mode when you raise issues. House was said to be ready for handover and yet there is no NBN at the house. Issues identified at first pre-handover Inspection by the building inspector were not fixed when we had the second pre-handover inspection. They simply removed the idenfier tape without fixing the problem.

Absolute rip off on Price for quality. Shoddy worksmanship - out of level walls/Windows/floor – I had them build my house in Melbourne while I was in Sydney. May be that's my biggest mistake. The Build quality is absolute shoddy with out of level walls, windows and floors. Their inclusions are of the least minimum standards. gas bill for 65 dollars after we moved in just lucky to fell on the early bill cycle to realize the quality of the heater. Please don't fall for turn key package. The blinds/landscape/drive way are also of the least quality they can do. I had an external inspector as well for the construction and he found quite of lot of defects at the frame stage which they said they had rectified but actually didn't do it. Later when my inspector did inspection post plastering he said the builder did not seem to fix all the defects from the last inspection. Then we had the builder fix what ever he could find post plastering and those were a lot. Even after fixing these defects I could find more defects after I moved which is out of level windows/walls. Electrical points missing which I paid for already. The range hood they installed is spitting out back dust and vibrating very much with a loud sound which can be heard from bedroom behind and not only that the wall itself is vibrating so much that it is make a crack in the paint on the wall ceiling edges. They blame it on the appliance and asked me to call manufacturer. I am following up with them now.

Because the windows and walls are out of level couple of blinds go sideways, wardrobe doors when closed still leaves more than 5 mm gaps.

I don't know how they call themselves Queensland No 1 builders. Very Shoddy workmanship. I would definitely not recommend them to any of my friends even for my enemies as you pay them dear for a low quality build.

I paid 320000 for 28 sqm build with above quality. My friends who built with other builders are surprised with the prices for this build.

The only good thing is I had good customer service from my account manager [name removed].

On the surface: Looks Great - but they use inept sub-contractors – We had an investment property built in 2016 using Impact Homes. They have now rebranded themselves to another name which I can only assume is to prevent the QBCC getting involved with some of the shoddy work performed by sub-contractors. example is a shower screen that is 1200 wide x 2000 high x 8mm thick (this makes it very heavy). Their "professional" installer put it up using 3x 3mm aluminium rivets and the edging eventually came off through use. There was also no silicone or sealant used anywhere in the install. This is shoddy workmanship by someone who should not be operating.

Another example: An air conditioning unit was not installed correctly and, after just three years, has lost all of its gas due to bad workmanship on the fittings. This also caused the main circuit board to fail.

Yet another example: Toilet blockages caused by incorrect installation of sewer pipes (confirmed by independent plumber with camera footage.

The overall fit and finish of the building looked great - and, as I said before - the problems have been caused by substandard and unskilled "tradesmen" pretending to be able to do a professional job.
