Excellent car seat – We have bought 2 of these car seats, & have had no issues with them at all. There is plenty of padding to fit kids when they are smaller, and provides a comfortable seat. Even when kids are bigger & padding is removed, there have been no complaints around comfort. It is easy enough to remove, and the recline function can only be adjusted when it has been removed.

Great seat, a few little things I dislike but not enough to lose a whole star – I bough 4 of these seats, I've had them for 3.5 yes and still love them! They'll definitely do the distance of 0-8 years! Only little thing I don't like is how difficult it is to tighten them, it's a little but of a stuff around... Otherwise, a comfortable seat, with minimal head drop while kids are sleeping (like other seats), easy to install!

Okay car seat but Have since replaced it – Difficult to Install and take out. Car seat seemed comfortable for my child, was used for 2 years before being replaced with another seat that was easier to instal and better safety features. Easy to clean as much as any other seat, no storage, seat is pretty wide and bulky. Not ideal for small cars as it takes up more space

Good value – This was recommended by a friend and we bought another one for our second bub. We've been using it since bub was born till now (3 years +). Reliable brand and easy to install. Fabric easy to clean and washable. Bub seems to be pretty comfy in the car seat, as bub falls asleep pretty quickly.

Good car seat, will stretch the distance for child growth – This car seat is a little clunky but it will stretch the use with your growing child. We have had cheaper car seats and to pay a little extra is worth t in this case. Fabric is washable and stays in good condition. We are happy with the use and purchase.

Ok for price but – Easy to install and using is not a rocket science. Doesn't feel as comfortable as it appears as the coushioning could have been bit better. May not be super comfy for long drives but cuty driving and small drive should be on. If you get it on specials i guess it's good. But wont pay $400 for it.

Love this car seat – it feels very luxurious and comfy for my little one. We used since baby was born till now 2 year plus. i bought this from baby expo with good price. We bought Maxi cosi for our second car from DFO outlet, soooo regret it. my baby doesnt like to seat on it and when she sleep her head doesnt stay backward.. so she looks really uncomfortable. I am very happy with this one and want to buy second one and sell my maxi cosi!!

A great all-rounder car seat – Simple and straightforward to install and very easy to clip bubs in. I do find that the straps can twist around quite a bit, but I don't think that is an issue isolated to this type/brand of car seat. Love the 0-8 yrs, this is the reason we purchased it. No need for capsules, car seat then booster, all in one, has already saved us hundreds of… Read more

dollars. My son loves to sleep in his car seat and it pulls apart easily to clean. Very happy with my purchase.

Good car seat, but hard to install – The car seat itself is great, it's very comfortable for Bub and pretty easy to clean but installing it is a pain, after getting it professionally installed and then traveling it took an hour for my mother and I to figure it out and that was with watching a YouTube video!

I love this car seat – I have four car seats and this is by far the favourite. Easy to adjust straps, roomy, doesn't overheat my child, and she doesnt seem to flop forward as far when asleep. A great seat and I would highly recommend it to others. Much preferrd over my other compaq seat, and maxirider.

great carseat – I love this carseat I know my son is safe in it. Extra padding is perfect for newborns unlike other carseats that have no padding for a delicate little baby. I will be buying a second one for my baby on the way. Only thing I don't like is its difficult putting it in properly. Other then that an excellent seat :)

Waste of money if you want your child safe – Purchased this seat, regret it! It has the LOWEST rearward facing markers, you can only rearface for approx 0-6 months. It's recommended now to RFace 1-2 years for the best safety for your child. Also can't forward face safely for as long as others. DISAPPOINTED! REGRET! ADVISE AGAINST!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!! !!!!

Dangerous Carseat! Straps loosen while driving! – The straps always loosen while my half way drive even though i hundred times made sure i already inserted properly! Its so dangerous!! I often didnt realise until I reached the destination as my carseat still on rearway facing. Plus the pading could overheat in summer! Seriously not recommended to anyone!!

Not suited for the newborn – We initially used the seat with all the inserts to take our newborn around, but found that the stitching of the head rest insert did not line up with the back rest, so it could not be used because it gave such poor support to the baby's back. Had to use a towel to keep her snug in the seat. She hated the seat back then, but has now grown into it… Read more

(took about 6 months). We've also had problems with the velvet shedding, mostly from the cover around the harness. The harness cover has not been designed to be taken off regularly and put in the wash - which would have been useful, because it comes up right next to baby's mouth so she was sucking on it all the time. In the end I had to cover it up with a clean handkerchief to try and stop her from swallowing any of the velvet fuzz that came off.

Worst car seat I've ever had to deal with – It's impossible to install and you have to pay for it to be fitted properly and even then it still moves. The velvet comes off onto your baby so I suggest never putting them in the seat wearing good clothes or it will be a lot of money down the drain, it takes one wash for it to be ruined even if it's only hand washing. I am appalled with this car seat.

A good seat – I can't really say either way, it was at the higher end of the price market but then its plush and has been a far better fit for my daughter than cheaper brands. It was however difficult to fit requiring payment which is frustrating and quite cumbersome in a small car.

Not sure it will last the whole 8 years – We bought this car seat as it is for 0 - 8, however one screw is already missing and the material is wearing thin after just 10 months. We also had problems with the metal spreader plate getting stuck under the car seat (although I am not sure if it was like that because of size or not pulled out correctly. I also don't like the systems for changing the arm height - would have preferred a button.

Dangerous. Top/sash belt able to slide out in rear position – I agree with Rose's comment about it being dangerous for newborns / rear position. Our first child has InfaSecure Kompressor in which the 'hole' the belts go through (enter) at the base of the carseat is completely enclosed (i.e. closed circle) so no belt can slide out at any angle. Great carseat. Just bought the Luxi Caprice for our soon-to-be… Read more

newborn; installed into a Camry. Installing in rear-facing position...all according to the directions....it was VERY obvious to me that, because the 'hole' the belts go through (enter) is open at the top, the top/sash belt could slip out. Sure enough, after installing correctly I gave the car seat a side-to-side shake and the sash belt slid up and out....which would have hit the baby with force from underneath. Why this 'hole' for the belts is not completely enclosed is beyond me, but very concerning that this passed all safety testing. Someone commented that if the red clip is installed properly, there should be no problems. The problem is that the red clip is installed between the seatbelt latch and the exit hole......not where the seatbelts enter the carseat base.

Brilliant car seat! – With 10 kids now aged 20 down to 1 year old, I've owned more than 2 dozen car seats/capsules/boosters. This would have to be the BEST seat I've ever owned! With all the deluxe padding and age appropriate inserts, it keeps baby/child secure and comfortable. After reading several bad reviews on here about head flop, I'd suggest owners need to… Read more

read the ENTIRE instruction manual. The 'Infant Pillow' is for use in the rearward facing position and is removed when the seat is turned forward facing. Other inserts and padding is removed as your child fills the seat, which reduces their shoulder height by reducing the amount of padding under their bum and legs.

I currently still have a small 4 year old with hypotonia (special needs) in the rearward position and she loves it. In the forward facing position I love that it reclines much further than all my other car seats, which makes sleeping more comfortable for the child. The harness is easy and smooth to adjust (unlike most of the car seats I've previously owned). I would highly recommend the Luxi Caprice!

Love it!! – So many great points, easy to install and take out, cushiony, reclines, reverse feature, seat protector, pockets, love the hood to protect my lil guys head from the sun and I love that I can take all the material parts off to wash!! Being 0-8yrs it's excellent for value!! I always recommend it!

Handy for Hip Harness – We have been very pleased with our purchase of the Luxi Caprice. We chose this model as it was the only convertible car seat that would fit our infant and her harness in and last her a good while. Yes she was blessed with Hip Dysplasia and had a harness for 5 months. Most other car seats were too narrow to fit this harness in. As it has to be worn… Read more

for 23 hrs a day it was necessary to have her comfortable during travel. (A car seat that is to narrow can cut the blood supply to the lower legs.)

Perfect! – Mr4 & Miss2 both have one, miss 2 has only just been turned around FF, the seats are a little bulky but I expect that with a seat that fits a child till they are 8! Great padding for newborns & the recline is great in FF mode that allows my kids to have no head flop like in their old S&S. We always get a great fit in my 08 Lancer & the kids love the different colours.

Love it – We got this for my son and have used it since the day he got home from hospital. I love the padding it makes him feel so secure I have used other car seats while on holiday and he hated them. It is quite bulky maybe more so than other car seats so I am not sure how it would fit in a smaller car but is fine in our outlander. We got ours from pram warehouse for $320 The padding very soft Maybe a bit bulky for a smaller car

Love our Luxi Caprice! – Very happy with our purchase of the luxi caprice. Bought for our first when new bubs was born and will be buying another one when bubs has outgrown her capsule. All the covers come off easily to clean, comfortable pads, pockets for storage and easy to install. It looks very safe, and unlike above reviewer, I can't see how the seatbelt would be a… Read more

Ok Carseat – I bought 2x luxi for my 5 month old son and 2.5 yr old daughter. I love it in ff mode for my daughter but her head flops terrible when she is asleep. Even when it is fully reclined. I hate it in rf mode. My 5 month old son always looks so uncomfortable when in it and he is nearly at the lime to turn him to front facing! I do love the extra padding… Read more

but the head rest i dont like when rf. They are very hard to install but when you do they fit good. Over all i think im going to have to sell my sons luxi and buy another car seat for him.

PERFECT SEAT! Best by far – After having an 8 and 10 year olds. Ive been through so may car seats. I bought x2 for my newborn and my 3 year old. I love how it reclines when she sleeps. You have to take the first layer of padding off for her head not to fall down like the other comment stated. Its very comfortable my daugther says, and thats what I wanted, for her to be comfy… Read more

and safe. I dont have to purchase another seat until she grows out of it. No 0-4 years. 4-8 years to worry about. I got the aqua swirls so its unisex. Head rolls forward – We brought this seat after testing it in the shop and being told it was a very popular seat. I looked into the safety testing and the company had good reviews. However we were so disappointed, our two year is quite tall and when we had it professionally installed we were told we would probably have to get another seat in about 6 months, as he will… Read more

outgrow it. However, the biggest problem was in the toddler reclining position our boys head rolls forward when he sleeps. We can only see this must be due to the "shelf" of the headrests which juts-out by about 1inch. Overall very disappointing, will use it for our 6month old in our second car and now looking to buy a new seat. Terrible experience trying to return it as well to the baby warehouse - just impossible.

Head rolls forward in reclining position when child sleeps and does not fit tall boy

Excellent seat.Mid price range.Great investment – I got recommended by a relative too. This is a great comfortable car seat. Think this is the first car seat in Australia that can sit from 0 to 8 years of age. So no need to buy 2 seperate car seats ie 0-4yo, then 4-8yo. Shop around, usually u can get it around $329. my baby warehouse was selling at $329 & babies r us beat it by 10%! excellent… Read more
