Would give a 0 if I could. Their truck that arrived was outsourced and branded "Punjab rentals". This was WITHOUT our permission. were amazing!!!". They blatantly lie in their responses to bad reviews. Maricel is a trained liar, either grossly misstating the truth, blatantly lying, or ignoring you privately but pretending to resolve publicly. This company will literally ignore you because they know they're in the wrong but want to bully you out of pursuing them. Completely unprofessional and legit a scam company. Look at how similar all their bad reviews are. Don't be fooled.

Fernando and Alexander were extremely helpful in moving a small bedroom apartment from the inner city. They were fast and efficient but also careful with my breakable belongings. They were friendly and kind and easy to communicate with. I could not have done my move without them!

I explained that an afternoon delivery could add an extra hour, possibly another $150+ above quote (from Nowra to base) during the time frame offered. I booked for following Wed. Again Tues after 6pm I get another call, same reason they haven't unloaded from yesterday, they can do afternoon. Again afternoon was offered. This time I had school events planned. I cancelled booking. So here we are week of Christmas, my mother in law is sleeping in her spare room because we removed her bed from her room expecting the new one to be delivered and I will have to organise something in the new year. 3 INSTAMOVE Movers arrived on20/10/25 to move from an 2bed room apartment to a townhouse which were 1.5km apart. Immediate impression was language barrier . They spoke Spanish with little English . bedroom apartment . One of them immediately commented “ piano?”. I said yes it is a digital piano, i stated it in the inventory . The Roland HP605 is 54kg only . It is not a traditional upright piano which is over 100kg but I was still charged for a proper piano rates.

They started moving and wanted me to sit and relax. After a couple of hours, they had only moved the boxes . I started to get worried. They seem to constantly stayed in the truck for awhile and left items around the ground floor.

One of them started on disassembling the bed. The other two kept walking around not doing much. They kept chatting to one another and the other was on the phone all the time. At 11.25am, I texted Instamove , raising the concerns they might not be able to do the job. No reply received. By noon, most furnitures were not move, I bought them lunch at my own expense . They took about an hr at lunch in the truck before restarting. I told the movers to remove the sliding doors of the bookcases so they would be easier and safer to move. They refused. There was no wrapping of the book cases, just taped the doors. One of doors fell off before entering the lift but they persisted.

At 1pm, my building manager asked me how long it would take as people complaint about the length and the movers also used a different lift which they weren’t not meant to be as it was not protected. My building manager said “ never seen such slow movers , they took their own time and you can see all that in the surveillance camera and they are all recorded”

Moving the washing machine : no transit bolt installed, didn’t quite know how to disconnect water tubes , I had to call my building manager and the neighbour to assist.

Continue moving slowly until 5 Pm and it was “ clear way” on the main road from 4.30pm They arrived the new place at 5.30pm. I showed one of them to the 3 storey townhouse which I stated in the inventory and there is no lift. I told him the boxes were labelled with the names of the rooms they had to go into. He didn’t seem to understand.

They moved some furnitures up the 3rd floor but just left them in random places instead of moving them into the right places.

They moved my bed frame to second floor only ( it was supposed to go with the 3rd floor) and told me to wait. they started putting the boxes on the ground floor in any random places despite I told them the boxes have to go to different rooms. One man told me they couldn’t get the 3 bookshelves up to the second floors because they were too big ( book cases width 46cm and the stairs width 90cm with hand rails) .

At 8 pm, I rang the company trying to get some assistance but no one pick up the phone. Then instamove rang me about the payment and told me the crew would finish at 10 pm and asked me to pay as soon as possible. I did not pay immediately as I was on the phone to get my friend to come help . Instamove then called again to ask me for credit card payment. My friends arrived and help me carry some boxes upstairs so we could have a clear way to walk on the ground floor. The furniture and boxes were placed everywhere. My friend commented that the movers did not seem to know what they were doing. My friend told me not to make the payment but I was too scared that the mover would leave my belongings outside of the house at 9 pm.

By that stage, they asked me if the queen size bed can go up to 3rd floor externally through the balcony. I asked how? With a crane?! Seriously ?! I insisted no and they had to move it up via the stairs . They just need disassembled it. Eventually they did disassemble it . At 10 pm, they told me finished and just left the mess. I was totally shocked and in tears. They did not finish the job and charge me over $3000. It was quoted as 6.5h job and highest cost around 1.6k

After they left, I noted a dent on the wall .Then I found a torn carpet the next day . I have to go back to my old place to move the things the movers left behind and I found multiple floor scratches as the movers did not put any protection and handle the furniture with care. My bed was installed wrongly and the hydraulic mechanism was broken now .

I have to arrange a different movers to move everything to the correct rooms including the bookcases. I have spent another $570 on the second move.

Despite my complaint, no one from Instamove rang me to formally apologise . They asked me to fill in a compensation form . After few days, they replied the job was complex, difficulty parking (the movers parked directly in front of both properties ), narrow stairs( but my other movers can move the furniture with ease). Multiple doors to get through in the apartment building ( was that the first day they operated as removalist? Which apartment has only one door? ). All the lousy excuses just made you wondered if they are truly professional movers? I uploaded the list of all the items including photos and videos a wk prior the move . Their initial reply was they would review them but I doubt they did .

Finally ,They offered 10% discount - $339 but HAPPY to extend to $500!

What a joke! Is this some kind of blessing for offering $500?! . I refused the little compensation and they said they would have to get the manager to call me . Jesus, obviously they did not take this seriously. The manager should have rang immediately when I filed the complain . That showed how insincere they were.

They took their own time to move - 13.5 h for 2 bed room apartment . Everyone thought it was jokes .

They totally lack professionalism and ethics. It was obviously preying the consumers for money . I noted the prior negative reviews here were fairly similar and the response and excuses were always the same . They DID NOT learn from their experience and continue to exploit pp like us .

Pls DO NOT use them and save your sanity . My family was truly traumatised by the entire experience. I am lodging formal accc and CAV complains to this inappropriate and exploitative behaviour

Honestly can’t recommend Instamove enough. The whole team was super friendly, professional, and just made the move feel so much easier than I expected. belongings to another truck without our supervision. The repack meant a container of body wash was not packed correctly (it was packed with the tap side facing upright to the ceiling as suggested to avoid it spilling)(common sense) New truck arrived They were made aware of the spill and half attempt to clean it. All of our wooden items were dragged through or had sat in the body wash and not made aware of this until 2months later when we emptied storage unit. Made them aware of the damage and attempted to solve the damage belonging matter but they have wiped their hands of this matter and refuse to right an error due to "not making a profit off the move" anymore after refunding the over charge side of our claim.

Furthermore the IKEA furniture that they don't cover was used as a stacking device and had so much weight on top it created a bow in the unit. They damaged a perfectly good desk by throwing a lawnmower on top of it without first covering it. We have broken plastic storage tubs due to stacking heavy on-top of light weight and fragile boxes. The estimated damage cost to replace items comes in at $1300 and they won't do anything about it because it was 2months later..... How do you access damage of items going into storage and then making sure it was not damaged during the storage time frame without unpacking and repackaging? You can't you can only rely on people reviews of a company and hope you don't experience the negative side.

Do not recommend this company for interstate or if you plan to store your perfectly good items unless you want them damaged!

The guys arrived on time and relocated furniture from storage into appropriate rooms, following a renervation . They reassembled beds and moved furniture multiple times when I didn’t like the location. They were life savers and did an amazing job. Price was exceptionally competitive too. Show reply

Where to start with this one..... Short version, they changed the pick up date on me six times and held me to ransom for additional payment. Upon loading my items in the truck i received a call from Reggie (Payments Manager) who said there was an extra 2m3 of storage that i'd need to pay which wasn't accounted for in their quotation. paid for 6m3 for the items to be transported and my measured estimate (also validated by the Instamove online quoting tool) totalled a volume of 4m3 so was more than surprised by this. When i contested this with Reggie, he said "you're not a removalist, you wouldn't know". Knowing I was not present to remove or displace any of the items, Reggie went onto say "we're in control of this situation, not you....we can leave 2m3 on your lawn or you can pay....we're in control". Reluctantly and at ransom I agreed to pay the additional 2m3 of made up volume. Following which I said the experience would reflect in my online review.....to which Reggie then threatened to offload and return the stored items unless i agreed not to. Well, Reggie, thats no way to treat your customers, you can't deny them the right to share their experiences! Stop ripping people off!!! The only reason I am not leaving a single star review is the drivers delivering the items were decent, the items arrived a few days later and without damage.

Based on a friend's recommendation, I used Instamove in December 2025 to move some furniture as my 5 bedroom house was being styled for sale. They arranged storage as well. smooth, the removalists turned up on time and the storage billing process was efficient. When the furniture was returned was when the problems started. Multiple pieces of furniture were significantly damaged. My expensive dining room table had large and deep scratches across the edge where it had been knocked. The leather dining chairs were marked as wooden items had been stored on top of them. Other wooden furniture had deep gouges and scratches.

Once I started identifying the problems, the removalists contacted head office and they were told not to unload the rest of the furniture until we paid their full fee. They indicated the furniture was already damaged and provided a photo of the damaged dining table in the truck. I maintain it was damaged after leaving the house hence the photo was taken.

My complaint were sent to the Support team who responded with an initial "We are looking into it" email. I had to chase them after a week of no action. They said I was offered and refused wrapping; this is incorrect. It was not offered and based on my previous moving experience assumed blankets etc would be used. They stated the furniture was still functional and had structural integrity so there wasn't a problem. A small amount of compensation was offered which I had no choice but accept or go to mediation, This amount won't cover the cost of replacing a side table that I have to dispose of, let alone trying to repair some pieces.

What I have learnt from this terrible experience? 1. Check reviews like this site as Instamove's reviews are highly variable and many reflect my poor experience. 2. Confirm in writing the plans for protecting items both when moving and in storage. 3. Take photos or videos for items before they leave the property.

I am planning the move out of the house and will certainly not be using Instamove.

If I could give a negative star review I would. I HIGHLY recommend you DON'T use this removal company. The people they employ to do the removal job are NOT professionals, but here to meet any arranged visa requirements on a temporary basis. to listen to me on the correct way to transport it. They had been well informed of everything they needed to know in regards to this MULTIPLE times both before removal and on removal day. They refused to admit negligence or liability so would not replace or reimburse me for this item which as a medically (survival) necessary piece of equipment I was at cost for (costing thousands of dollars). They also dragged this complaint process out only to refuse replacement or reimbursent (the item could not be repaired). As a result, my family member who needed this equipment became extremely ill and in a life threatening situation which has so far, cost thousands more in medical bills and surgeries. To date, I have been over $10,000 out of pocket due to their negligence and am still hoping the consequences of their actions doesn't become fatal for said family member. Please people, DO NOT USE THIS REMOVAL COMPANY. Finding someone on social media to help with your move will result in a better job and hopefully not be as rude and condescending as the people involved in this removal company.

The best shift we’ve ever experienced ever experienced!!! The team are amazing they moved our 4 bedroom house as promised on every aspect, from 1 double story house to another double story no problems. Everything was wrapped with care and boing was too difficult. From first call to book the shift until the truck left our new home, was our best our experience!
