Sales person lovely. Once initial proposal signed, it was incredibly difficult to get a callback (particularly when wanting to upgrade our system prior to install). When would phone, admin would always answer with “hi XXX” which would be a name not ours, and apologise that our number had been saved as someone else’s with a tirade of excuses as to… Read more

why…. Particularly when it continued to happen despite them saying they’ve fixed it. When phoning, would never say it was Instyle solar- would leave caller to say “hello” as though it’s been cut off. The product itself was great, as was the sale itself; it’s after sales and admin that needs significant improvement. Very hard to get a call back.

panels incorrectly installed June 2023.connections partially done. Resulting in excessive electricity bills.Eventually rectified by In Style.Requested compensation.Would not return my calls(at least 7 of them).Going to Fair Trading for justice. The Manager & their after sales service are terrible.I recommend not to deal with them. Would not tell me their address, what are they afraid of? Gutless Manager. Colin Show details

Poor Service & Standard – We expressed our concern with [[Name Removed]] and requested that the workmanship with regards to the installation, NOT have any exposed wiring/conduits along the exterior of our home. He assured us that there will be no visible conduits on the exterior of our home & will be fed through the wall cavities. The installation was completed by [[Name… Read more

Removed]]. We now have awful looking conduit running from under the upper story eave into my garage roof. Then from garage roof eave into the brick wall. We found that the installers have cut corners & had cut numerous holes into the sarking in order to CABLE TIE the conduits to the roof trusses. This is absolutely NOT acceptable. Its an easy, cheap and lazy way of fixing the conduits & entirely lacking in quality workmanship approach to an installation; especially where conduit holders are relatively inexpensive and should have been used to secure the conduit to the roof frame. Our home is a recent build, the sarking was intact. This has now undermined the integrity of the sarking and eliminating the purpose of it. This has left us with the potential of multiple leaks, wind in the space, mildew and rot into the roof cavity, not to mention the thermal efficiency. They also assured us that they were lodging paperwork for the meter etc, and we have now realised they have not followed through. We have written to Instyle Support via their dedicated 'support' email address over 6 weeks ago with photo evidence of the texts, and works. To date we have not heard any reply.

Nothing but problems – I cannot recommend this company. They subcontract their install in NSW at least, to local companies, so they are not local. Instyle solar make promises that they are the best, justifying their high retail cost - at least 30% more then other competitors. Since install one month ago, I have had to personally try and arrange the inverter to be… Read more

commissioned, despite this not being my job. I've also had leaks, destroying my ceiling gyprock. Additionally it took instyle solar one month to submit the requirements, applications neccesary for my electricity provider to feed my solar back to the grid. Application still pending. Still no benefits. What a cluster of a mess. I have now lost over one month in revenue even after paying over 14k for this unit and considerable damages caused by leaks after install. Don't go with them guys. If problems continues, I will lodge dispute with local court. I'm done with these cowboys.

perfect install – We had a 13.3 kw system install done by Instyle in Sept 2023. They made the process so easy, right from the quote with [Name Removed], through to the installation team, and then follow up with the office team to extend our warranties. Great company who explain the ins and outs, and leave no details out Show details

Cannot find any 24/7 technical team to fix not working solar battery for 17 days from Instyle Solar – Battery not charging more than 1% neither holding it’s charge until it completely stopped charging (0) charge .This incident happened 26Dec 2022 to date 10Jan 2023. and nationals as they claimed themselves to be. To this date no one or any maintenance service team called or rectify this issue. We have purchased in value the sum of $12,000 on the Sungrow Hybrid Solar batter from Instyle Solar. With intent of high expectation of an off site monitoring in case of problem issues etc as stated in the contract. STAY AWAY FROM SUNGROW BATTERIES AND INSTYLE SOLAR COMPANY WHERE THEY ARE SELLING IT AS PROMOTION AND OFFERING MISLEADING SERVICE OF MONITORING AFTER SALE!

GREAT INSTALL – My sales person was Scott Moore who was informative and patient, asked great questions relating to our needs/energy consumption. The Instyle Solar technicians (they weren't contractors) attending our home were prompt and courteous and the installation was neat and tidy! Good but install had a few issues – We had a new battery and inverter added to an existing rooftop panel system. Would have been 5 star if it hadn't taken 5 days to finish installation and we were without solar power for 2 of the 5 days. Post installation everything is working fine. Show details

Well done Instyle – Their Consultant was extremely professional with the info provided and responding to any queries. Regular follow-up. Installation was scheduled within a couple of weeks. There were some minor issues with the installation that are yet to be resolved. We had the Sungrow inverter and Risen panels installed. Their online app to track the power generation performance is very good. Show details ·  1

Instyle Solar – We have recently installed Solar Energy with Instyle. Our experience has been exceptionally great! were friendly and very supportive during the installation. The even assisted us to connect to our wifi. Scotty also demonstrated how to use the app which gives real-time information on our Energy yield and consumption. It's exciting to be in control of our electricity supply and usage. We can now actually see and control the products perform. We are able to monitor our usage, generate savings through energy production and contribute surplus energy to the grid which in turn helps out the community. We give Instyle a great big thumbs up for service excellence

Instyle Solar Do Not Honour Warranties – Late 2020 I had a solar system installed by Instyle Solar. Earlier this year the energy tracking system supplied by Solar Analytics and sold by Instyle Solar failed. It turns out to be the device similar to a dongle that plugs in and out of the switch board. The original sales process included LIFETIME WARRANTY on the product that Instyle Solar… Read more

refuse to honour despite the lifetime warranty being reflected in the contract. At first they would not even respond to my emails, then when they did respond they said it was not their problem because the business changed hands. Then they wanted to charge me and they do everything possible not to repsond and drag the matter out. Unfortunately when a company is bought by a new owner they also buy the legacy. If a company does not honour their warranty on the simple things imagine what it will be like when something goes wrong with the more serious and costly items like the solar panels, inverters etc. I would suggest not to buy from a company that does not honour their warranties. Even the Office of Fair Trading in Queensland backed my claim.

Waste of time – Spent over 2 hours going through the sales pitch, making decisions on products, doing my rebate application and finance application.. had an email from installers asking about which date I'd like solar installed, I respond immediately and at this stage I'm thinking, wow this is all super efficient. Then crickets... Several days go by and the dates… Read more

for installation I have chosen have passed so I email back again to be told that the sales person should have been in touch with me. To be fair, sales person had been sick but then sent an email saying there are no installers in my area (2.5 hours from Melbourne, far from remote!) and they are cancelling the whole thing. Surely the first thing a company like this should check is whether or not they are actually able to deliver the product in the area they are selling it to? All that said, the rest of the experience was pretty good, up to the point that they couldn't actually deliver the product they'd sold me. Anyway, just a massive waste of time for me that could easily have been prevented.

Cost: $8280 before Aust and Vic gov rebates; $4,866 after rebates.

Customer service was pretty shonky – My booking was removed in error and when this was pointed out it was rescheduled before talking to me. I got no notice that my booking had been removed in the first place and it wasn't until I called them to ask why they hadn't arrived that this was told to me. I understand human error happens, but if they had emailed me or sent me a text to… Read more

confirm the booking cancellation then I could have got onto them and cleared it up before the day the install was meant to happen. Also, if rescheduling, a call to pick a date before scheduling it in seems like pretty basic courtesy.

Went without a hitch – Just had our solar panels installed and are delighted with the result. Deciding who to go with feels a bit like skipping through a minefield but Scotty explained everything and we are 100% confident we got a gold standard product. Duane and his crew installed the panels in the rain, they were fantastic, very careful and considerate. Overall we are thrilled with the product and Instyle Solar have been brilliant to deal with. Show details

Very Mixed Bag – Real mixed bag with Nectr / InStyle Solar, who we engaged to do our solar as we are Costco members and they run a decent promo. The quote and quality looked good so we signed up after some consideration. After signing, was told I’d been wrongly quoted on a single phase system and would need a three phase. Was promised that the only change was to… Read more

panel placement and inverter, so we went ahead. Was promised a pre-Christmas install but ended up being mid-Jan (no big deal, but would’ve preferred the word to be honoured).

Installers did a decent job, worked hard, despite some issues mounting the inverter (which a pre-installation inspection could’ve avoided). Happy with the outcome of the install.

HOWEVER, a smart meter to measure output and consumption was not included, despite it being on the first (single phase) quote we received. Despite being told “nothing else is changing”, was not informed a key part of my system had been removed from the quote to keep the original price the same.

Upon follow up was given every excuse under the sun, told how good a deal I got, and that I should’ve picked the omission up. Finally the company did supply the meter, however insisted I pay an additional $330 for installation of the meter.

The system is now fully installed and working well, I’m just really disappointed with the dishonesty and lack of integrity in making their mistakes right.

absolutely terrible steer well clear – had my system installed in March this year and am still waiting for them to finish the job ( now November) so that a compliance certificate can be issued with Ausnet and my system is legal and can be fed to the grid. working still. Have called weekly and emailed regularly to discuss resolution of this matter and never get return calls, they have received full payment from me as well as our government rebate on work that is not compliant. I have now lodged a complaint with consumer affairs and hopefully we can get the problem rectified before clogging up our courts. Do your research, read the reviews and do not believe because you are paying premium rates that they are reputable. The sales rep was fantastic and very informative but unfortunately let down by her employer/ company. A total headache and extra emotional and financial stress can could have been avoided if they had done the job properly and to standards.

This company is one of the worst I have dealt with – Firstly I had a PV system installed - that seemed ok but on the day they got straight onto me for payment. Later on I noticed a problem with the ssystem, I called them got one return fhone call and nothing since. I have recently contacted them about an upgrade to my system and they don't seem to want to call me back. I do not believe that customer service is in their DNA. I wish I went with someone else. Show details
