Good stuffGot rid of the humidity in my bedroom and keeps it low Show reply
ExcellentFound it works even better with a fan heater going at the same time and the doors and windows closed. Show reply
Does the job reliablyWe’ve had the unit for just over a year now and it has operated reliably since day one. Only maintenance required is cleaning the air filter which is easy to do. Having to empty the reservoir every day also is a good way of keeping my plants watered! Show details · 1
Game-changing. No more moldy clothes. Less allergiesBeen so concerned by the rising humidity in Sydney and the overwhelming mold on our belongings when Sydney was slammed by endless rain in 2022. We're prone to allergies. Our family also has asthma. I didn't want to get sick from mold. Cleaning mold from our windows and belongings (belts, shoes, suitcases, walls, windows) is exhausting.
Considered a dehumidifier for almost a year while I bought endless moisture absorbers from Bunnings and constantly needed to buy refills/replacements. After hearing someone in our suburb say that they take out 5… Read more · 1liters of water from their bedroom a day I was both mortified and had a striking realisation that our moisture absorbers were doing the bare minimum. I bit the bullet in January 2023 and invested in two Ionmax ION622s to move around in our small home. It arrived on our doorstep within 4-5 days. It's an absolute workhorse and we too are pouring out liters of water from our home daily. Our allergies are now minimal, our breathing is clearer and it's easier to move around the house. I've learned a lot from the process too - mold begins to grow in the home when humidity is at 50 - 55% or more. Our humidity in our Sydney home sits usually at 70% - 90%. This has been nothing short of a game-changer. Thank you so much Ionmax team. ❤️

highly recommend this product. Show reply
Works wellThe recent Sydney rains have made dehumidifiers essential, but hard to find and expensive. I'm on a budget and settled on the Ionmax over the Chinese brands on Amazon.
Pros: Basic decompressor dehumidifer that does the job. Good value for the price. Easy to set up, just plug it in and switch on. Displays humidity and the controls give you the option to set desired %. Washable filter saves on having to buy replacements. Can really feel difference after it's been running for a few hours.
Cons: Too loud to run in a bedroom overnight. No option... Read moreto change fan speed / power. Overall I'm very happy with the ION622. However, my situation may be different from yours. For large spaces, I recommend at a 20L model at least. If quiet operation if a priority, a desiccate dehumifier can't be beat.
Thank youThis is very portable and easy to store. Have just started using it and it seems to be collecting a lot of moisture from my house.
nearly 4 years and running sweetThought people might be looking for a dehumidifier now (march 2022). Bought a ION 622 in July 18 it has worked very well for us. The last 3 weeks it has worked constantly when we've had power(we even ran it on a genset, its that important to us to keep mould out)only stopping when its full or has reached set levels. Cant fault this unit, you can hear it but its not roaring,it might be a little loud when it stops but again not over bearing.
Saved me!I love it! I bought mine second hand and on the first day it removed 6 Litres of water from my bedroom alone. I went from 94% humidity to a fresh and clean 74% over the day. I have ordered another 2 as my whole hours is around 92% humidity and everything is going mouldy and feels wet and disgusting. Yes it makes noise but it has a compressor.. and compressors make noise.. its not a problem for me.
AmazingIt’s so crazy how much water this can pull from the air, solved my mould issue and one of my best appliances, highly recommended -quiet and effective and easy to empty
Terrible Unit from AndatechLeaks and makes a Trimble hissing noise only one fan speed and water all over my floor and carpet. Humidity does not change and I have a separate Humidity stat . The ion 622 is inaccurate and causes more humidity then it solves it just blows warm air ? I didn't buy a heater did I.....
The whole unit is a fail.
I wouldn't buy unless you like to waste money. Show details
Not one of my most well advised purchasesAlthough I did a fair amount of reading on dehumidifiers, what they can do and how to use them, I found this unit to be not particularly useful.
Certainly, the evidence is there to see when you remove the water tank. It does extract water from the air, no doubt about that, but whether it makes the environment any more comfortable is another matter.
It has its own hygrometer built in (humidity meter) to show you what's happening but the reading strangely goes up a bit after a period of coming down, as though the surrounding air suddenly becam... Read moree more humid and the unit can't keep up. I read that using a dehumidifier can be useful in combination with an air conditioner so I experimented with that. I have a separate digital hygrometer/thermometer in the next room. The dehumidifier and air conditioner ran together for a few hours, during which time the humidity hovered around 55%. I decided to switch off the dehumidifier to see what would happen (air conditioner remained on). Within minutes the humidity dropped to 47%. That makes no sense to me, and I'm afraid it seems I bought a device that may be useful for certain applications but not ones I had in mind.
