VerifiedThe dash cam iroad x5 says to replace the damaged memory card. Is that correct? Where do I get a memory card?
Hi Joe, If the camera is telling you the SD Card is damaged, then you most likely need to purchase a new one. You can do this here external link Be sure to turn the unit off when ejecting or inserting the SD Card. Hope that helps.
when i power up my iroad x5 dashcamera, by thge power button or by the wifi control button. It will say "no wifi dongle". But the wifi dongle is physical inserted. Please advise
Hi Martin, It will be that the WiFi of the dash camera is turned off. To turn it on, short press the power button for approx 1 second. It will beep and say "wifi power is on". You will then be able to connect as normal. Hope that helps.

Hello biz7112 You could try adjusting the lens so it isn't pointing at the bonnet and is focusing further away from you. Otherwise, you would need to do a factory reset to see if that will fix your issue. If that doesn't work, unfortunately, the camera may be faulty as it is quite an old model.
Hello. Wifi is on and connected, can get it to beep and tell me to connect to my phone but it tries for a few seconds and then goes back to disconnected.
Hi Peta, Thanks for the query. When connecting, it is important to follow the steps as per the app. * Open the app, press 'connect to dash cam' * Choose your model * It will now say 'press the wifi button for registration'. You must do this before pressing 'next' * Go to phone settings and connect to the IROAD WiFi network. Once you are connected, go back to the IROAD app and Press Done. At this point the camera should say 'registration complete'. If it doesn't, you have missed a step or have a VPN or similar which will block it. If it connects, but says 'disconnect / ok' on the screen. Quit out of the IROAD app and then re-open it. This is to do with an iOS issue with teh version on your phone. Hope that helps. Hi, my iroad x5 keep on prompting "your camera is disconnected". I have tried to factory reset and it become normal for a while then the next day reprompt the same message again. I also tried to u plug all cables (rear cam, gps, and power) but it is still the same.
May I know what is the issue?
Hi Alvin, If it is saying 'rear camera disconnected', then this may be an issue with the rear camera. Possibly the rear camera itself or the cable in between.
hi, today while driving, my x5 suddenly said, '' reboot! due to sd card damaged. '' it then goes on n on rebooting n repeating. i tried other sd card, they failed. i use my pc to read iroad sdcard, it can read. put back in, failed. formatted iroad sdcard, failed. if one put a brand new sdcard hc, will cam format n install softwares in sdcard or do we have to install ourselves ya? if the software will auto install, the cam is not installing ya. i checked the sdcard in the pc after, theres no files inside. what should i do ya?
Hello, The new SD Card will be formatted and software installed automatically by the camera. Make sure the SD Card is a Class 10 U3, anything less, will cause an issue. If you have the correct SD Card, the camera may be faulty. You can call our office on 1300 818 622 (after Jan 13th) when we reopen and it can be sent to us to be checked. You will also need your original proof of purchase to ensure it is within warranty period.
thx u for reply. i solved it by using deep/long format on the iroad microsd card. it took long but after put card back in cam, it started to install software n starts working normally.

I am trying to find a video from rear camera from iRoad FXpro2 dash cam and I can see only the front camera videos. I can't see a memory card on the rear camera either. Please help.
Hi Manoj when looking at footage, you need to press the icon in the app and select Rear Cam. Thank-you!

No voice prompting on my X5 anymore and have tried all suggestions here. Blue light solid, red light flashing and camera is recording but to recover the footage I need to extract SD card and play through PC at home. No connection available either through phone or iPad
Hi Wade The X5 is quite an old unit now. You could try formatting the SD Card in a computer and this may trigger a reset. Otherwise, you may need to replace the unit?
The recorder keep telling me there's no wyfy dongle??? Why???
Hi David, It would seem that you have turned the WiFI of the unit off. To turn it back on, short press the power button (do not press and hold) and the unit will say "WiFi Power is On". This will fix your issue.

Hi Daniel If you are simply connecting to the wifi network then it would seem that you may have not followed the registration process correctly. Open the red IROAD app and follow the step by step instructions. This will work fine for you. Thanks.
Hi, I am unable to connect to my IROAD x6. Keep giving me notification ‘disconnect’. I’ve tried possible ways where I only use wifi and connect it to x6 and disconnect my mobile data but it still doesn’t work.
Hi Nuru, Thanks for the question. When the message on your phone says "disconnect", this is an iOS issue on your phone. As long as the Dash Camera says that the Registration is Complete....Swipe up and quit the app. then re-open and it should be fine. Hope that helps.

Hi Tracey It sounds like the WiFi of the dash cam may be turned off. To turn it on, have the camera powered on as normal, Then give the power button a short press (do not hold for more than 3 seconds as it will shut down the unit) and the unit will say "wifi power is on". Camera keeps saying memory card is damaged,replaced the card and after a week it started doing the same thing telling me it’s damaged
Hi Nathan, Thanks for the query. When you replaced the card, what sort of SD Card did you use? If not a genuine IROAD SD Card, it must be class 10 U3. Also, when ejecting or inserting the SD Card, be sure to have the unit powered off. Hope that helps.

Hi, my IROAD X5 seems working properly. but I lost the password on my phone to connect to its WIFI. Is there a way to retrieve my password or re-setup the password? Unfortunately I cannot find the installer either.
The default password is qwertyuiop.....if this has been changed, you need to send the unit to our office.

Hi there! Last time when I start driving my car the message ‘ gps is activated’ but now the msg is gone. How do I get the gps activated again?
Hi Felicia, You could try disconnecting the GPS and plugging it in again ensuring it is pushed in all the way. Is the blue light on the camera when driving? Is the camera speaking other commands?
Thanks I have done what u have suggested and it works now. Now the blue and red lights are on and the gps is working
The voice msg came out but subsequently when u start the car again it disappeared again. Blue light is flashing and red light is solid on. What does it mean?
Hi Felicia Red light means power is on and recording Blue light flashing means searching for GPS. If you unplug the GPS again and plug it back in, does it say GPS Connected? If so, then the gps plug could be loose or the camera connection could be an issue. Playback some footage and advise if there is a speed showing in the bottom corner. If so, then all is good.

Hi Samaira, Thanks for the query. This could be due to a damaged SD Card. Try turning the unit off, ejecting the SD Card and putting it in a computer and formatting the SD Card. Once done, put back in the X5 and turn the unit on. If this doesn't work, the front camera (inc sd card) will need to be sent to us for testing along with proof of purchase. Thanks
My Iroad X5 keep having issue with wifi connection & app connection, within afew seconds wifi will disconnect and cam mention no wifi dongle when wifi is on. Even after disconnecting CarPlay still facing the issue. When finally wifi connected when in the app and was link to the camera successfully but less than 20 seconds it was disconnect again. Please help
Hi Ron, When connecting, please ensure your car is on and engine running. That should solve the issue.
My car is on and engine running, but still having the same issue.
Disconnect any car play or android auto.

As per above.....When connecting, please ensure your car is on and engine running. Also ensure wifi is on. To do this, short press the power button and the unit will say 'wifi power is on'. If you do not have wifi turned on and engine is not running, there will be connection issues.
Iroad x10 recorded time and date is wrong. However the time and date is back to normal after I reconnect the WFI. The next day time and date is wrong again. Why is that so?
Hi Ming When you adjust settings, you need to exit and save the settings when prompted. If you just quit out of the app, no settings are saved.
