Gets lost easily – I’ve had my M6 for about 5 months, it does an OK job of mopping , but , is beyond frustrating, when it just bounces around like a drunken hockey puck. Today it took over 6 hours, and three restarts, to clean my small tiled home, no bedrooms. The software is just not up to the task. Show details

Terrible lifespan and non-existent support – We've had two. Both started leaking water and stopped working. The second one has only managed to clean 300 square metres over its lifetime (less than the area of an average Australian house). Australian support is through IXL, who for our first one didn't reply for 4 months (3 months after we'd had the unit replaced by the retail store). So far… Read more

I've been waiting 5 months (with a few follow-ups) to see if our current one can be fixed.

It's a shame, because our iRobot Roomba has been great.

love it when its working but have had so much trouble with it – Have taken this mop back to harvey norman many times and they have been great but it needs to go back every few months as it has trouble charging constantly. They always say clean the points where it charges which i do but it never works and a red light just keeps shinning and saying please charge which of course i am trying to do but once again it wont charge. very disappointing Show details

Great mopping, mediocre mapping – I love the braava M6 mopping capability, but for some reason the iRobot app wouldn't allow me to use Fred's ( j7+) maps to set up and run....and Mary mop has some rug issues! She tends to dive underneath them, so for the first couple of runs I needed to grab her and pull her out from underneath my rugs! Used on mostly wooden floating floor, but… Read more

does the bath, ensuite and laundry tiles as well. I did debate buying a robot mop, but as I was so impressed with Fred, I decided to, and glad I did.

Edit- you can now use Fred's (j7+) mapping for Mary mop, or vice versa, due to app update. Definitely mops far better than the Midea vac/mop I bought for downstairs ( couldn't afford another irobot set, unfortunately). Now I just need a robot to do the water filling and maintenance on Fred and Mary :)))

It mopped, but after 1.5-2 years this thing is rusty and will not go – It mopped okay but we have 2 (one was a gift and the other was purchased from a big box store 2 years ago but cannot for the life of me remember where or even where the receipt is). Fast forward to today, the older one has rusted so bad on the left contact it also rusted through to the charger and will no longer work. The second one I went to use… Read more

last week also now has the start of the same rusting on the left contact. For $1.2k machines that have only been available to buy since start of 2020, I would of expected them to last 3-4 years.

I have hit up IXL (Irobot AU/NZ) about this due to both units doing it and it looking like it's a normal fault with this model (lots of reviews everywhere), Maria from IXL has left alot to be desired. She has not listened to my concerns, asked for photos twice. Told me these units are not repairable yet I have to send the units away at my cost to get an assessment (also at my cost). Just to be told they are unrepairable (emailed the service guy and he also mentioned they are unrepairable so not point in sending them which was more helpful than IXL). So now I have 2 very expensive mops, one that doesn't go. One that will likely not work too soon and I have no idea where to go forward with these.

For such expensive items and such a well known brand, Irobot could learn alot from the Likes of Bose and Dyson who's after sales service / support are perfect.

I have been asked by Irobot to private message through ATTN Customer Service manager but after 2 weeks and multiple emails to IXL its gone nowhere. So don't bother.

Good M6 Robot mop but has minor problems ( leaving slight streak on tiles) Fussy customer! – This Brava Jet M6 maps floors & rooms reasonably. But. we have porcelain tiles, and it tends to slip a bit and it leaves a streaky finish. Our floor is light brown which accentuates the problem. We use the specified detergent and tried distilled water but makes no difference. This might be ok with some people, but my wife is floor conscience and… Read more

picks the streaky finish. Added: I would like to add that it leaves a streaky finish on our tan-colored tiles which is not good for us! Added 9/2024. 2 years on from original review, Love it , mostly just use distilled water, just sometimes a little detergent to overcome streaky finish, its the colour of tile the problem. Purchased another one for our daughter and she loves it.

Good not great – After using for 6 months in conjunction with a roomba 980 vac i can say the following. If you have large format high gloss tiles think twice before purchase as no matter how often you change the pad it will always leave streaks after drying no matter what fluid you use. That been said im still happy with the job it does. The sweeping pad does a… Read more

surprisingly good job creating static to pick up hair and dust. Although you create no go zones in the app to keep it out of places you don't want mopped it doesn't like the virtual walls that I have in place for the 980 vacuum roomba I have, they just seem to confuse the mop sending it into a continuous left/right tail wagging motion. Aftermarket Chinese pads from eBay seem to work just as well as originals and hold up well in washing machine. App is a bit Buggy with problems leaving the dock sometimes but pressing the start button on the unit always seems to work. Unit is very quiet and can easily run at night as long as a light is left on so it can see where it's going. Proprietary cleaning solution is expensive. I've had great success using Bars Bugs(automotive windscreen washer additive)leaves less streaks and doesn't seem to have any adverse impact on the unit,I mix it 10/1 and it's cheap if you buy it on special from automotive parts stores. If you can't be bothered wet mopping your floor every week then get one of these units as well as a roomba vac to run around before mopping. Aside from above comments ,I have no regrets purchasing the product although I do consider it a bit pricey. Matt. Images taken after vac and wet mopping with bars bugs solution.

Don't buy anything iRobot – Issues after issues from day one. For starters they claim to be made by MIT and it uses AI for cleaning... but the algorithm and AI in general is so poor that the mop get stuck in places it shouldn't, sits idle doing nothing sometimes till you nudge it, detects drop offs when there is none and repeatedly goes to same places it got stuck and was… Read more

removed from....

The device is advertised to mop tiles etc.. but when I approached support they said my tiles are not compatible... What crap... I had to use sandpaper to roughen the wheels to get it to move. It unintelligently moves going back and getting stuck from areas it was stuck in or detected a drop off... It can't even find its way home sometimes and it can't work at night because it uses a camera to navigate... That's another thing they fail to advertise that it only does day time mopping.

Seriously has potential but it's not in the league of the cheaper Xiaomi roborock which works flawlessly, never gets stuck and knows how to go home... Also the terminals get rusty which shouldn't happen. The Xiaomi roborock does mopping too but I've had it for 5 years and no rust... The iRobot I own is only a year old and started to show rust signs earlier....about months in...

If their algorithm is so poor and support staff useless I wonder how their other products are...

My advice stay away from iRobot anything and get the cheaper Xiaomi or other branded mops. It's worst than them and priced too high for crap.

A little bit awesome and a little bit frustrating but mostly great – I cashed in all of my Frequent Flyer points to purchase George Cleany, as we've affectionately named our Braava mop, who has been doing a fairly decent job of keeping the floors cleaned since he arrived, around ten weeks ago. In general, I would absolutely recommend this product, unless you have high-gloss tiles as it will leave streaks. Pros: *… Read more

The app is easy to set up and use and I love that you can set a job to start at any time from anywhere. * Works well alongside our Roomba i7+ (aka Dustin Bieber) and the app can be set to vacuum first then mop afterwards. * The tank holds enough water for a number of cleans of my mostly tiled home. * Adjustable spray, so you can have more or less water based on how dirty your floors are. * Quiet to run. * I LOVE that you can set up clean zones on the map, meaning you can tell the mop to clean a certain part of a room rather than the whole room, which for me, this is under the dining table in the dining room. * You can set keep-out zones, for example, to stay away from pet bowls or other areas. * Doesn't leave streaks on the matte tiles in my bathroom and laundry.

Cons: * The mop comes with only one re-useable mop pad, and two disposable mopping, and two disposable dry sweeping pads. This makes no sense to me... why not provide re-useable options for both mopping and sweeping? I purchased a set of six mopping and two sweeping pad knockoffs from Amazon for less than the cost of one of each from the manufacturer. * There is only a trial size cleaning fluid included and the warranty is voided if you use anything else in its place. I have been using just water and if necessary spraying the floor with a bit of cleaning spray (like spray and wipe) before setting the mop to clean as the fluid is too expensive for my liking. I haven't needed to do this anywhere but the kitchen. * It leaves highly visible streaks on my high gloss tiles. I counter this by going over these areas with a microfibre/chenille dry mop while the floors are still wet, which is somewhat counter-intuitive, but hey, it's still easier than mopping without the robot. The other option is to clean each room one at a time, first wet mopping, then polishing with the dry-sweep pad.

Without the abovementioned cons, this would absolutely be a 5-star product.

Incredible! – I really don’t understand the negative reviews on this product either. I’ve had my Braava for a week and already it’s made a HUGE difference. job of our tiles with no residue left behind. It’s a good idea to send it around with a dry sweeping pad on if you have dust or pet hair like we do. It just completes the mop perfectly. It’s really reasonably quiet and my mum’s does a brilliant job of her wooden floors too. It’s just so nice to see our floors clean without having to push around a bucket or worry about replacing and washing the mop pads so frequently. I really love the disposable wet mopping pads and plan to get a few more. I don’t have any negatives for it - I love that I can adjust the duty of the clean and how much fluid is dispensed. The first time it left the tiles a bit wet. The app is so user friendly, and I love that our Google joke can control both of our iRobot products.

Bad cleaning. Won’t go over 1cm steps – I own a Roomba J7+ and couldn’t be happier. So when I saw these get reduced to $500 I jumped straight on it. Mistake. It would not go from my hard wood floor to my tied area due to a 10mm step. So I had to pick it up and move it. Same goes from my hallway into the bedrooms. Would not do it. I returned the item immediately. What a joke. Show details

Total waste of money – I have tiles with grout on my floor and the mop constantly gets stuck, it has issues traversing a 8mm threshold and gets stuck behind it, it mounts rugs and just goes for hours spinning it’s wheels in the same place and wearing groves in it and seems to always find an excuse to not work when on a timer, It has also made the grout on the floor black where it doesn’t mop up dirt, it just spreads it around, Threw it in the bin today Show details

Average mopping, can be a bit unreliable – When it works, does an ok ob of mopping hardwood floors that are relatively clean to begin with. Nice you can schedule to run right after vacuuming run if you have another iRobot device. Major issues – Pros: It does actually do a half decent job of mopping (1970s vinyl floors)- when it works Sweeping is more reliable than mopping Cons: Persistently unable to get out of dock on scheduled cycle (but can exit dock when started manually from app? advance 5cm to charge, but for some reason veers off at the last minute and then gets stuck somewhere out of battery) Mapping is atrocious and as a result it only does half the house as it still hasn’t noticed the other half of the hallway exists Spray jet currently clogged and I have been unable to clear it- so I am having to add water to the floor manually

For comparison, I have a Roborock vacuum which has great mapping and app- however the combination s6 doesn’t mop well. If I had my time again I would have just gone for the more expensive Roborock that can do both as the Brave Jet is a waste of time

Bad Software, Bad Customer Service but Good cleaning – Since I have used a few robot vacuums over the years mainly mid and lower end ones, I had big expectations from this mop especially considering premium price and brand name. Bads: 1) Mapping: Even with all experience setting up such devices, this one was a steep learning curve for me. Initial mapping was a frustrating and daunting task. It kept… Read more

getting lost and cannot clear small hurdles like floor thresholds. It took me several mapping runs for 3-4 days and finding and adding threshold settings to map my entire house

2) Instruction Manual: user instructions as very basic and won’t cover a variety of issues you may experience just out of the box on day 1. A lot of googling is required to find answers on the internet.

3) Customer Service: IXL customer service in Australia is useless. They never reply to email / phone call / message.

4) Firmware : Functionality through its App which depends on it firmware is very restrictive and limited compared to other robots which uses Tuya based or similar systems.

5) Price in Australia: Price is Australia is not equivalent to the US dollar conversion rate, its shame that Australians have to pay disproportionately for same product sold elsewhere.

Good: 1) Cleaning job (Mopping and Sweeping): It mops very well compared to mopping on other hybrid vacuum robots, is the only reason I kept this robot - With all its bads I was planning to send it back in the 1st week after buying this.

NOT for porcelain tiles – Bought this in the belief that I could set and forget and wake up to clean floors a few times a week. Ok so I was dreaming. After a few uses it is clear that this is not designed for porcelain floors as evidenced by the clear wheel marks it leaves behind. Died within 4 months – Does an ok job at cleaning but as also experienced with my Roomba, the smart mapping shared by the Braava is pretty poor. Negatives: Despite problem solving using all recommended solutions we cannot get it to clean without leaving marks on our floor - very noticeable ones. We use the recommended cleaner, have tried different levels of spraying, cleaned the wheels etc and still there are track marks over the floor. The robot comes with one reusable wet mopping pad - if you are using this over a large space it will get filthy quickly, this then spreads more dirt around the house. We have ordered more so we can replace the pad mid- clean. It’s price - we paid over 1000$ at Harvey Norman. Since then they have dropped the price to 919$ It’s good for a “quick clean” after vacuuming; however I am not sure it is reliable enough to be the sole wet floor clean.
