Worst company to deal with under warranty. Refuse warranty for reasons they technically made up. The machine with mop is extremely faulty. Just google the complaints from 100s of people all around the world. Facebook, redit ect hundreds of the exact same complaint. Then after your machine leaks on day one, they exchange it for another faulty… Read more
unit then exchange it for another faulty unit. To then blame you when that one is also faulty. Because the company is in receivership and going broke because their product is so faulty. The mops leak from day 1, they send out seals to help that leak after a few months, then apparently its our fault and deny warranty so they can save money.
They know their product is faulty, hence the seal kit that needs replacing over and over again.
Do not buy this product or anything from this company.
My Floors have never been so clean - No regrets – I've had my J7+ for 8 months and overall I have no regrets. I lift up chairs in the Dining room and clear a few obstacles to help it out. This is a vacuum only model as the mopping feature being good was a bit too much of an ask. My floor is mostly timber and have no Pets, so Pet hair isn't a problem. It vacs the floor when I go out shopping and… Read more
it is all done by the time I get home. Overall it does a pretty good job. It does miss a few spots only my floors have never been so clean as I am not a regular vacuum cleaner user. What I really love is being able to walk around barefoot without constantly stepping on grit that annoys me. This problem is solved. I also enjoy not having dust accumulate under the beds as I get Hayfever and have an air purifier in my bedroom running 24/7. Would I get another Robot vac? ... Yes Would I get the same brand? Probably not .. I'd go for one with better feedback and a higher rating. I'm happy with this purchase.
Rating - 7.5/10 (Good)
Pay a cleaning lady…better value for money – This product is simply not worth what I paid for it. I have tiles and carpets and honestly WHEN it cleans I’m happy that it does it and I don’t have to. However the WHEN of it is anybody’s guess. The cost of maintenance is fairly high but bearable. I have changed the wheels once and that was expensive. Regular changes of rollers, brushes and… Read more
filter which you need to shop around for. Forget original parts or you will need to remortgage. This machine will stop and get lost more often than I can count. It will stop 30cm from the base and run out of battery. That’s ok….if I bought a cheap rip off. My daughter has the cheaper rip offs and gets as good performance. Just saying

Amazing!!! Can’t live without this…..you need it in your life!!! “You just don’t know it!!! – The IRobot Roomba i7+ is to me at the top of its game!!! Let’s just skip to the end. “You need this product in your life”. Don’t ask permission just use the credit card for now. Lol I have had the IRobot Roomba i7 for around 7 months now and it performs so well. I have a mix of carpet, tiles, rugs - “a lot” and it can manoeuvre itself on all of… Read more
these surfaces so well.
My home has never been more cleaner than it is right now!!! “The Roomba takes the stress out of having to vacuum everyday and always!!! If you have a home that needs attention and vacuuming then look no further. “I am very happy with the battery life and the automatic docking annnnnnnnnd automatic emptying as well. “It makes life a breeze.” I loveeeeeeee my Roomba!!! So go get one today.
SOLVED!!! (no help offered from customer service. They just want you pay more for useless parts) – EDIT: I finally found a fix for the below... If you are experiencing the below, you will need to remove the front bumper and thoroughly clean underneath it. Especially the sensors and the bumper window. This will allow the vacuum to see the docking station and will dock and empty itself again. The empty bin button has reappeared in the app too. I… Read more
bought this useless vacuum in 2019 and was working fine until 2021. The only floors it has ever cleaned were floorboards. The vacuum still works but it fails to dock on the base anymore and does not empty the bin either. The empty bin button is no long visible on my app. Every time it finishes its cleaning job, it goes back to the base and just stays in front of it, trying to locate it until the battery dies. I have tried all the troubleshooting tips like rebooting the vacuum, relocating the base to a new area, remapping the floor, cleaning the robot and the contact points. Nothing is fixing this issue.
When I contacted support, it took over a month for anyone to respond and when they did, i don't even think they read my very detailed email as they were asking me questions which i had already given answers to in my original email. completely useless contacting them as the only thing they were happy to help me with was to suggest buying new parts that the robot did not need. i sent them photos and video as they requested and tried to tell me that the wheels were worn out. They were not worn out at all. they look like new. I don't know about you but my roomba doesn't do burnouts while it cleans. They wheels are not the issue. after explaining this they proceeded to help my issue by letting me know that i need to send it into their servicing team so they can look at it. oh, and that would cost $225. absolutely useless customer support.
My issue with the robot is that it does not dock on the base anymore. it goes to its general area, spinning in place until the battery dies. if i place the robot on the base myself, the robot does not automatically evacuate its bin like it's meant to.
very very poor customer service. i have given up with them and am now exploring going to consumer affairs regarding the lack of help offered.
DO NOT BUY as it will not work after the warranty period expires.
Just wonderful – I owned one of the first iRobots and I really liked it, but this model is next level. With the automatic dustbin emptier, the ability to map your home and clean areas using the APP is fantastic. I program it to clean each day when I am out playing a round of golf or similar and come home to a clean house. It takes two charges to do my home. Goes… Read more
about the job reasonably quietly, when the dust bin needs to be emptied in tracks back to base, loads itself and whoosh the bin is emptied. Has a little recharge and then picks up where it left off.
I’ve paired it with the Braava Mop for a full house vacuum and mop and works beautifully. Highly recommend both products.
Robot broken after 3 days – Robot stopped working after 3 days because brush cap was missing. I called warranty for 7 times. Email them for 10 times. Still had no response after a week. They always said send them an email with pics of robot but no reply at all. Every time I call they said that they will response on next day. They got my email now. But nothing turn up. terrible to spent 1700 for this crap. And got worst warranty ever. I bought other brush on ebay and replace quicker than warranty from irobot. Do not buy anything from them. They do not warranty at all.

Good product – This is a good product for a in between vacuum, what I mean by that is it’s good for setting to vacuum each day but I still think you need a hand held vacuum to get all the the dust and vacuum everywhere once in a while. But I’m really happy with how it vacuums :) and how it does it’s job. Take a lot of pressure off me Show details
Life changer!!! – This has been the most satisfying product I have ever purchased. It continuously impresses me 18 months after purchasing it. I can’t possibly imagine not having a robot vacuum going forward, let alone going back to vacuuming……no thanks!! Show details
Fabulous 'Frank' ... our new vacuuming housekeeper! – I had considered purchasing a robot vacuum cleaner for some time. We have a large house, mostly carpeted with lots of cabinets etc that are difficult to access to clean under and a ‘fluffy’ cat that incessantly drops hair as he wanders from room to room. After watching my daughter’s robot vacuum in action in a household with 2 small children and a… Read more
dog over a period of 2 months (overseas visit), I was convinced it would be a positive addition to our household.
I was overwhelmed at first with the number of products on the market but narrowed it down to the iRobot Roomba i7+.
The iRobot Roomba i7+ has a Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal system that empties on its own. In other words, once it’s bin is full, it makes its way back to base and automatically empties its load. It then makes its way back to continue where it left off. I thought this essential when considering buying. My daughter’s robot does not have this feature and we were forever having to manually empty the bin and restart it. Unpacking the robot was relatively easy and a simple process to set up. I found installation very user friendly - Download the app; connect to wi-fi; charge the robot vacuum & I could begin. We named our robot Frank. You do this in the app. A bit of fun! Next you send the robot vacuum on a ‘training run’ to learn the layout of the house. You might need to do this a couple of times depending on the size of your house. The robot vacuum makes a SMART MAP which you can then access in your app. You can add room dividers, name rooms, and add no go zones. This then allows you to create a schedule or just tap on the app and tell the robot which room/rooms to clean. It’s a good idea to remove obstacles that have been left lying around before sending the robot into action. The robot vacuum uses a camera to know where it’s going and where it’s been.
Overall, I am really impressed by the iRobot Roomba i7+. Our floors look great. It’s like having a live-in vacuum housekeeper. Pros: User friendly Spring loaded wheels to allow it to function at different heights ‘History’ feature so you can check where it has vacuumed Completely sealed system… no dust escapes when it empties into bag. Bag then seals on removal from Clean Base and you just drop it into rubbish bin. Battery recharges reasonably quickly Less noisy than a normal vacuum Stuck alert in app … as to where robot is stuck (this has been rare) but I’d left something that was impossible to move over! So far, so good. No issues returning to base. Quality of cleaning … quite good
Cons: Cost could be a factor … expensive Camera sensor doesn’t work well in the dark Doesn’t get right into corners Requires maintenance every 2 months or so … just cleaning sensors, wheels, etc Replacement bags a little expensive and having to replace these bags not so environmentally friendly Doesn’t pick up all the cat fur … but then neither does our Dyson… the cat fur tends to cling to things!

Do not buy!! – Rubbish! Very tempremental. 20 months old, returned once already for repair and needs to go back again. Australian service team ......non existent, no response after 2 months and 5 emails and can only leave a message on an answering machine that they don't check. In the corner not working collecting dust. Waste of money. I'm disgusted and about to return it. At least the company I bought from may have some integrity. Show details
The reality is quite different to the advertising claims – We have a reasonably large home with a combination of surfaces.....approx 1/3rd each of timber, tiles and carpet. All up, about 200sq metres. So, the idea of not needing to manually vacuum was quite appealing. Well, we've had the i7+ for about 12 mths now and manually vacuuming has continued to be necessary. Don't think that it won't be. Walk… Read more
around your house and see all the nooks and crannies that your i7 won't be able to reach. You'll be surprised! Even under the dining table! Unless you lift all the dining chairs up off the floor, the maze of chair legs will obstruct the i7. We have an area between the bath and shower about a metre long and 200mm wide that the i7 won't fit into. We also have a couple of coffee tables with low rails that the i7 can't get under. Naturally, of course, it can't vacuum behind open doors either. There are many such spots around our house. You get the picture. And all of those areas need manual vacuuming. As for carpet, the i7 has two issues. Firstly, it only does a superficial clean. Our Dyson will still pick up quite a lot straight after the i7 has done a pass. Secondly, the i7 tends to ball up any dog hair or fluff and then roll over it leaving balls of fluff/dog hair here and there on the carpet. (we have one outdoor Golden Retriever but his hair magically finds it's way into the house in quantities that you wouldn't believe) When you buy the i7, the first thing you do is map the house so that the i7 knows where everything is. Problem is, you'll be surprised how often things get moved around. This confuses the i7 and, after a while, you really need to re-map. It's not a difficult job but it takes a while. Then there's the regular maintenance. Emptying the dust bag, pulling tangled hair out of the wheels and rollers, cleaning the filter, cleaning the sensors and, of course, the rechargeable battery will eventually need replacing although ours hasn't yet (touch wood). So, in summary, the i7+ does a good job on hard surfaces but only where it can reach. It doesn't do a great job on carpet. We'll keep the i7 now that we have it just to do the hard floors but understanding that we also need to manually vac all the carpeted areas and all the nooks and crannies that the i7 can't reach. However, given the chance to go back in time, we wouldn't buy it again. If you really hate vacuuming, and don't we all, don't kid yourself that a robotic vac will do it all for you. Suck it up (pun intended) and just do it manually or, if you can afford to, get someone in to manually vac the house for you. Btw, I've given the i7 a poor rating for noise. The actual robot is fairly quiet (quieter than our Dyson) but when it empties, it's like a jet engine firing up in the passage way. Don't use the i7 after you've gone to bed, thinking that you can sleep while the i7 quietly goes about it's business. It will wake you up with a brutal disregard for your need to sleep!
So many things wrong with this product – I thought I had done the requisite research to find the best product for my needs. I watched YouTube reviews, read a heap of user reviews and paid reviews. 2 months ago the i7+ went on sale and I thought it was my lucky day. Then I took it out of the box........ First, the compliment...... when it works it works brilliantly. Now the… Read more
criticism..... 1. It nearly always gets stuck under the same part of my coffee table in the living room. I have read the instructions, remapped the house and made sure nothing in the room has changed between cleans. But time and time again it gets stuck under my coffee table and doesn't complete the rest of the job. As a consequence now, I only clean the living room when I am home in order to make sure it doesn't get stuck. 2. Lately, the robot doesn't manage to dock on to the charger properly and runs out of battery. Today I spent a good part of an hour trying to get it to sit on the dock properly to finish the job it was supposed to do. Finally, after rebooting it and hand cleaning the charging pins I got it charged but it was too late to finish the rest of the house.
This product is supposed to save me time and effort in cleaning my house, but really, I have spent far too much time trying to get it to work properly then if I just vaccuumed my home traditionally.
I have tried to contact the manufacturer for an exchange or refund but they have not returned my emails.
I would not recommend this product.

This is our 3rd. From a 2 to 5 now 7 with the self empty – It is a bucket of crap. Cleans the bathroom 6 times and leaves the rest of the house - that is an example. Middle of the kitchen - says she is stuck and on and on. Not a day goes by she doesn’t diminish the job. And no we don’t live in a mansion. And yes we clean the filter ever second day and wipe her insides clean just to be sure the little… Read more
precious piece of crap does come up with another excuse not to do the job. Yes we have a Labrador that only sheds hair when she is inside. That is why we have the iRobot vac. After being faithful I’m done with this brand – It’s awful. The rubber brush concept is awful. It doesn’t get between grout like a brush and it damages carpets. It wears down really fast and I replace the rubber far more than I ever needed to with the superior brush system. The brains of the operation is infuriating. over for up to 12hrs till I force it home. Like a virus, this issue is slowly engulfing other rooms.
Customer service is appalling. When I had a previous issue with it I was told it had to be sent away and a minimum 6 weeks. I asked how I’d vacuum my house for 6 weeks and was told not their problem.
I have been loyal to this brand from the very beginning. But these days it’s exceptionally overpriced to competitors that seem to perform to a superior standard that also offer exceptional customer service too.
I would no longer recommend an iRobot to anyone. Horrible expensive things that cost a fortune to maintain with customer service akin to buying a homebrand from Kmart or the like. You’d expect a premium product with a premium price to have premium service at a minimum.

Quicker and easier to do it yourself – Good when it goes which is now not at all. For almost a year we've had issues with it docking, then backing off the dock and saying it's "stuck." costumer service ever. Total waste of time and money. I spend more time putting the stupid machine back on the docking station to try to get it to charge than it spends cleaning. The mop never gets to go because it is set up to go after the vacuum. It's quicker and easier to use my Dyson vacuum and mop the floors by hand.

Completely useless after 18 months - do not buy - after sales service appalling – We have a top of the line Roomba. $1700 - honestly the price of my first car. A smart device but a terrible vacuum – We have owned two robot vacuums, the previous a Vorwerk Kobold vr200. The Vorwerk was an excellent and powerful vacuum cleaner, but it was not that smart. It became stuck regularly and sometimes got confused for no reason. But, it was an excellent vacuum that left nothing behind. By comparison, the Roomba i7+ is smart, rarely gets stuck or… Read more
confused, and memorizes the layout of the house. It self-empties, which is convenient. It *is* an impressive "robot". However, it is a **useless** vacuum. It runs straight over obvious dirt and leaves it behind. It collects and rolls hair - both human and pet - into balls and discards those balls back onto the floor, particularly in carpeted areas. In our home, the carpets look worse after they are vacuumed than they did before. Once the hairballs have been created by the Roomba, it has such poor suction it cannot pick them up even on a second or third run. The suction is abysmal. Sometimes I wonder if it's simply driving around like a toy car without suction at all.
The Roomba is also incredibly loud compared to our previous robot vacuum.
DO NOT buy this machine. You'll be wasting $1800 or so, and you'll still need to manually vacuum, often after the Roomba has "vacuumed".
Where do I even start – App is the worst part. It constantly crashes and says not available and you have to reboot several times (around 5-10) till you can even get it to work. Oh and don't bother contacting iRobot help and submitting troubleshooting. That crashes on the app and when it finally goes through no one contacts you

UPDATE
Because IXL offer inadequate customer service… called IT. iT advised poor design, cheap WIFI sensors making the company and the product a liability.
The final resolution was to set a static IP on each of the irobots and connecting them to a separate 2.4Ghz only network. They both associated (connected) to both of the wifi networks I have in place – but for they refused to accept dhcp (auto assigned IP address) regardless of the source. Look for advanced settings when setting up if you have a contemporary router.., works ok on older and big standard routers. Pretty dumb for a smart device.

Such a disappointment – I was so excited to receive my Roomba i7+. for months, I have had to replace the brushes twice, as hair seems to just cut right through them, and at the moment it's just wandering around without the vacuum suction on, and it's back section up in the air, so I have no idea what's wrong with it. It doesn't clean whole areas, so I have to use another vacuum to finish rooms. I have tried re-setting it many times but to no avail. IXL support were helpful in that for the past 22 months of problems with it, they replaced the bin, and the clean base, neither of which resolved the issue. I also sent it back to IXL and was told it was working correctly. I wish I had checked reviews here before purchasing the i7+.as this was a very expensive item to purchase, and it is now past it's warranty period, and completely useless.

So far...so good – We are in our 60s, retired and still amazed at the number of things we can manage via our wifi. well as crumbs etc.. It does everything so far that is claimed on the box and we are amazed how it persists to navigate difficult area like around legs of tables, under beds etc. Also (after mapping of the whole house has been completed) we can schedule cleaning of any rooms we want while we are out. You do however have to help out by keeping an organised and fairly clear floor to assist it's functionality...if you're not prepared to do that then you don't need one of these. As with everything these days, and considering how complex these devices are, we do expect it to break down at some point in time and blow our $2000. But until then, it's a very handy device and as we say....so far, so good.

Terrible vacuum – I used it on timber floor. I have it since May 2021. It never vacuumed properly. The mapping and ease of programming is very good – It works well on tile and timber floors. 1. On some carpet it leaves tracks that, for a main loungroom, are too unsightly.
