Out of 6 brands, these are my favourite! – I have been through so many reusable nappies and they all leaked Then I came across itti bitti They have an additional protective flap near the legs which I haven't seen on any other I tried. I have had no leaks and no problem! They're no where near as bulky as some I have tried and I like the inserts they seem to be very absorbent

Our favorite mcn – We tred a number of different mcns and these are our favourite. For us they are a good fit (baby has massive thighs and small waist) and by far the least bulky - our other pocket and snap in style nappies are far bulkier for the same absorbency. The tutto inserts have more pieces which means they dry faster and are more customizable. They are a… Read more

bit more fiddly to assemble but my husband and mum manage!

Absorbency may be an issue when baby is bigger (currently 9months) but so far fine as long as we arrange the inserts with extra layers at the front and less at the back. Using the sized dlish trifold soakers also works well.

I do much prefer the bamboo as microfibre nappies in any brand tend to give her a bit of a rash.

Very easy to wash, they rarely stain but if they do a couple hours in sunlight does the trick.

The cheaper brands for us haven't been as reliable.

Itti bitti seem to last well, ours came second hand having been used for 1 child and we have used them for 7 months and they are good as new, minky is just a bit flat.

I have some that were sold as seconds and the inserts are coming apart at the snaps but being seconds and fairly well used that doesn't seem unreasonable.

Mcn choice does tend to be a personal thing, but for us the itti tuttos are by far the best we've tried.

Dont Waste Your Money! – I agree that they look cute and are slim fitting BUT they dont fit all babies and for big wetters they are a no go! I cant comment on their durability because I try not to use these nappies very often because they leak so easily. baby dry. I regret buying these as they are very expensive in comparison to other nappies and the customer service was not great. They did not bother to send instructions on how to use or maintain nappies I was very upset when I got these as they looked so complicated to use. However once explained they make sense but you need a short tutorial to use them. Also, I was told to buy 3different inserts for each shell this adds up to make final purchase very expensive and I only ever use 1 insert (the bamboo insert) as you cant just change the insert as the entire nappies is soaked.

18 mths and still going strong – Yep, this one-size-fits-most is still fitting as perfect as the first day on my new bubba. We still have plenty of waist adjustments to go, so I am confident that they will last till we no longer need them. Like others, I too used disposables overnight, but from about 7mths-14mths of age, now back to mcn's overnight. Overall, not a single stitch… Read more

of my 24 value pack has let go. Still no stains (we hang in sun every wash). I've been using a non-enzyme washing powder, just a very small amount every wash. If the nappies smell when bubba has wet them, I'll wash with detergent then follow immediately with a strip wash (just water). Works every time. Personally, I prefer to put all the nappy components into the dryer for 20 mins(just the cooling down phase) after taking them off the line. As I have the bamboo soakers, I found they became stiff after washing and drying after about 6 months of use. A stint in the dryer makes them soft again, better for my bubba's bum. Perhaps it's the bore water I wash in? With the 24 pack I generally dry pail, wash every two days, with the third day of taking off the line and putting them together. Not too much work really. I'm pregnant again, so it'll be a load a day no doubt when the newborn gets here. I have to agree with others that buying new itti bitti products is proving difficult. It's unfortunate, they are awesome!

2017 feb update.

Ok, after buying these nappies for my first child over 4.5 years ago, we are about to put them through our third! I'm super excited to be using my clothies again! I have only one issue over the course of time using the itti bitties. Right about the time my first two children hit the 18-24mth stage, if they don't drink enough water, their urine tends to be more potent, and I find the nappies can allow a burn to occur if worn for some time after a pee. I tend to always strip wash (6 times hot water wash), if this occurs, but truly didn't make a difference unless bubba kept up on drinking well. As a precaution, you can buy disposable liners, and apply a barrier cream in the event of this occurring.

On the whole, all of the outer nappies are in great condition, with no elastic give-out, or broken button clips. The inner liners are mostly stain free, while their stitching around the outside gave out around the same time I was toilet training the 2nd child, I decided to save some money and sew them back up with a zig-zag stitch. My first toilet trained at 2 yrs, my 2nd decided nappy time was over at 19 mths. I use natural detergents these days, so I intend on a combo of liquid Castile soap & washing soda, when number three gets here. If I run into any trouble, I'll update further Inexpensive, easy to use, no fuss washing. online youtube instructions. Hard to buy new or replacement products

Great nappies but hard to get! – A friend lent me some of her Itti Bitti Tuttos to try out when I decided I wanted to try MCN's. Initially I was completely confused as to how to put the soakers in but Itti have a Youtube channel with viedo instructions that I found extremely helpful. These nappies are a lovely trim fit and are the cutest on. I have a variety of different MCN's… Read more

now and these are the first ones I reach for in my stash. The bamboo soakers take a while to dry but the microfibre ones are a quicker drying alternative. I have had some issues with staining on the outside of one nappy that was a bit hard to get out. The major downside that I have found is that these nappies are so popular that they are extremely hard to get. The Itti website has been sold out of many products for months and there are long wait times to get certain designs (if I wanted a Poppy (red) coloured nappy I need to wait until March). Some tutto colours have only just come into stock now after being out of stock for some time. Another disadvantage is that the soaker sets are sold seperately which I hate and they are also sold out so even though I would like to buy some microfibre soakers to go with the nappy shell I'm unable to. I joined an Itti buy/swap/sell group on fb and have been a bit appalled by the price hikes of the limited edition designs. People buy up on these LE designs and then resell them for double or even triple the price but because the website is sold out there is no option to get them for RRP unless you want to wait 3 months. Of course the price hikes on private sales aren't Itti's fault but I'm sure there are plenty of others out there just like me who want to do MCN to save money and can't afford to compete against the extreme prices some of the Itti addicts pay (I saw one nappy sell for $72!). Itti clearly need to make bigger orders of stock. Cute, soft, trim fit, easy to use, all round my favourite MCN. Hard to get, so much stock sold out, price hikes on private sales due to lack of availability on the website, soaker sets sold seperately

So enviro, so cute and so simple! – I love my itti bitti tutto nappies. They're so soft and cute and very simple to use (they have Colour coded snaps so you can remember what goes where). After a few goes even my hubby finds them easy to put together and has no trouble changing bubs nappy. He regularly comments that he loves her 'big nappy bum' over a disposable. The customizable… Read more

absorbency and fit is fantastic ...and being able to take the nappy apart means the bits dry really quickly. I use bamboo soaker pads which take a little longer but I bought extra so I have spare whilst the others dry.

My bub doesn't have chubby thighs so I have had a few little leaks (about one a fortnight). But this has only been when the nappy has been on for over 3 hours or so. I use a disposable at night time for this reason.

I find the little bit of extra effort you put in for the nappy bucket and washing is nothing for the environment and the long term savings you will get from using this one size fits all MCN! Easy to use, good quality, customizable absorbency, customizable fit, trim fit, colour coded snaps, soft minkee fabric, cute colours & prints Not absorbent enough for overnight use, a bit pricey

Super impressed!!! – I don't understand all the negative reviews for this nappy? I absolutely love them and have never had a problem with leakage unless I leave the nappy on too long. I find that I can get at least 3-4 hours out of each nappy unless my bub does a number 2. I will admit to using a disposable overnight for the absorbency though. I don't think any cloth… Read more

nappy unless it is super bulky could handle 12 hours straight.. I also find the adjustable fit great and the design is still quite trim. I have 28 of these nappies in total so I do a wash twice a week. I don't find this to be too much work at all. It is a bit annoying having to snap all the inserts in again after washing but seriously it's not that hard. I just do it whilst watching TV.

LOVE <3 Itti Bitti Tuttos are awesome for my son – I've been using Tuttos for 5 months now and I love them! They are pretty easy to use once you get the hang of it, easy to clean, love that they grow with my baby, such good quality, so fluffy and cute (especially the prints)... I'm now competely addicted to itti bittis! Cost effective, good for the environment, reliable, easy to clean, Up front cost although in the long run so much cheaper than disposables

Great nappies – These are by far my favourite cloth nappies. They are great quality, I've been using them for 9 months with no problems I love how cute the colours are and the minky is super soft. Fantastic! – I trialled a lot of different nappies and these were definitely the best. Love them, from a newly converted disposable user – Ive used disposables all the way with my son who is now 28 months. I started investigating MCN after I heard they are better when toilet training. completely contained. In the past, no disposable had completely contained poo explosions like that and often they would result in entire outfits needing soaking and a shower to clean up him.

Ive had no problems with wee leakage. The elastic fits snugly around his indie line just as the YouTube instructions say.

My son is 14kg and 97th percentile for night for his age and they fit him perfectly.

Inserts take a day to dry in the Brisbane autumn sun. The shells, only 4 hours in direct sunlight.

Have yet to experience washing/drying in wet weather though.

The clips are easy to deal with. I have arthritis due to lupus and had no trouble doing up the snaps. They don't take long to snap together either.

I can understand why others might find the snap system complex but really, if you're willing to sit down and work it out it's very simple and logical due to the colour coding.

I'm currently pregnant due in August. I look forward to using the itti bitti tutto on my new born. Time again for another review then. Reliable especially with poo explosions. Love the ability to reuse an unsoiled shell. Appear to have a good used sale price and highly sought after on eBay Expensive to start out but well worth the investment

Rubbish product & poor customer service – I ordered these from a stall at a baby expo. I watched, learned and was impressed by the idea. Ever since they arrived they have leaked. but quite useless. Customer Service haven't found any issues with fit, haven't offered a replacement product and have not responded to recent requests for advice on why the minky outer has started soaking through completely.

Buy one if you must try it... but don't buy a starter pack. What an expensive, disappointing mistake.

Finally, be aware of ammonia soiling... they don't mention this in their advertising but the inserts need regular replacing.

I could never recommend Itti Bitti nappies. The concept of a modern cloth nappy Everything important... the inserts are quite resistant to liquid and the minky outer soaks through all over. They leak onto all other clothes, sheets, pram, carseat. Dreadful absorption capability. Bad customer service.

Good nappy – I like the minky fabric and the sizing of the bitti tutto but find the snap in inserts quite complicated, more so than other itti bitti's, and not daddy friendly. I personally prefer pocket nappies but haven't had any leaks etc with my tutto. The absorbency is fine for day use, and the minky is super cute. Good sizing Snaps are complicated

fit for a one size nappy, but I tend to disagree, Bub is 9 weeks and i still use the smallest setting. I do find the adjustable inserts (there are 3 - a long one, a medium one and a mini one that you can use combined or seperately) a little much complicated, however I suppose not having as many inserts can still keep the nappy trim when making the transition into toilet training. These nappies do have a trim fit as well which I like compared to other cloth I have used. The anti-leak poo guard is also fantastic. As I have said, not a leak since we have used it. And I also like being able to change the liner and keep using the outer shell. I do recommend these nappies to anyone going cloth. They are quite expensive, but definately worth the money. trim fit, no leaks from day one, changing the liner and keeping the outer shell makes it more economical Im not a big fan of the furry minky fabric, but my husband likes it. Quite complicated to figure out the snap system at first with all the liners, then teach my husband. Are quite expensive

Wasn't a fan – Although im a huge fan of itti bitti nappies. I just did not like these nappies. The fiddlyness almost didnt make it worth the benefits of using cloth. Great nappy – If it wasn't for the fiddlyness of all the snaps/inserts, I'd give 5 stars! Perfect fit on my newborn, no leaks, dry reasonably quickly, super cute. I only use them during the day when hubby is at work as he finds them a bit much working out the inserts, but the absorbancy is good and has lasted overnight no problem. They're great quality. Pooh fence works a treat - love this feature. Fit, performance, visual. Inserts annoying.

did use disposables for the first couple of months. I purchased a couple of these nappies from eBay as they looked nice and trim and I liked the look of the nappy and the adjustable absorbancy pads. I have since bought several more from Itti Bitti, their customer service is fantastic and super fast too.

I really like these nappies, they are my preferred nappy for night use and last from 5.30pm until 6am in the morning and my baby wakes for one or two feeds in the night. He is 7 months old, eats 3 solid meals a day, drinks water and has about 5 or so breast feeds a day too so is a reasonably heavy wetter.

They do not leak at all, in fact they are a lovely snug fit around the leg. I can only assume that a previous reviewer didn't adjust the size to the correct size or didn't do them up tight enough? In the morning these nappies are extremely saturated but I have not had a problem with them leaking.

Very easy to wash just un snap the 3 absorbancy pads and dry pale. I do a rinse cycle first followed by a long soak cycle and use the Cushie Tushie laundry liquid which I find fantastic. They dry in a day in the sunshine. They are no more time consuming to put back together than nappies that you have to stuff, all of the snaps are colour coded. Besides if you have any trouble working it out just go into U TUBE, there are plenty of demos!

As for the poo fence, this looks good, I am fortunate that my baby does several firmish poos a day (sorry TMI!) so we don't have the explosion problem, but for a newborn that does this I believe it would protect from leaks as it looks quite resilient. Love the fact that they have the extra snap at the waist to stop the nappy sagging. Also I love snaps, oh so much better than velcro that wears and then catches on every other nappy in the wash ruining the fabric!

Cute colours and patterns too. These nappies have quite a following and second hand on eBay sell for not a lot less than they are new. Lovely minky soft fabrics, looking forward to summer and just having nappies and singlets on to show them off they are so cute. Lovely trim fit, gorgeous soft minky with really cute patterns and colours A little on the smaller size so not sure if it will continue to fit until toilet training

I just store the used ones in a wet bag (I do not rinse or soak them) & a couple of days later I throw them into the wash with a pre-wash cycle & a teaspoon of Rockin' Green detergent. I don't even unsnap them to go in the wash, which means no assembly required when they come out of the dryer, even simpler! Rise Snaps so that as your baby grows you can size it up. There are four rows of snaps in the rise so you could take it from newborn up. Not many MCN's have this feature.

Trim Crotch area. I was shocked when I first saw it, but was impressed.

are very slimline nappies, so they're more like disposables under clothing. Lovely colours and velour fabric. Hold in poo and don't leak as easily as other modern cloth nappies. They are very absorbent and the inner suedecloth keeps baby very dry even when they are quite soaked. These are supposed to fit up extra large, I believe the website says up to 20 kilos and they are too small for my 14kg average sized toddler.

We had quite a few leaks initially until I got the hang of it, and realised I needed some extra microfibre boosters as well (my son does very quick wees which the bamboo can't soak up fast enough). We seem to continue to have poo leaks though, partly as I can't get quite the right fit with the snaps, and partly because I don't think the crotch is quite wide enough (it's really trim for small babies, but not wide enough to contain the poo for larger babies). Trim fit, gorgeous colours. Soaker pads take ages to dry, poo-fence didn't seem to help us (lots of leaks), time consuming to hang out and put back together as there are 4 different pieces. Also time consuming to rinse poo off the four separate pieces which is made more difficult by the crevices made by the poo-fence.

Love them! – I've tried lots of different brands of nappies, but the Itti Tuttos are my favourite by far. For newborns, their 'poo fence' contained even the worst #3 explosions, & the fit has been great since my bub's legs chubbed up at about the 4.5kg mark. can customise what inserts to use depending on your child, and can reuse the outer shell again. Only downside is that I think my bub will outgrow them before toilet training - she's 9mths/9kg and already on the second last 'rise' (& we're close to switching to the last one). She's also outwetting them quite quickly at certain times of the day, so we'll have to put even more inserts in them to make them last a bit longer. I love these nappies though & will be sad when she grows out of them!! Look great, can customise the absorbency, dry quickly, great for #3s as they have a 'poo fence' to prevent leaks I think my bub will outgrow them very quickly

My favourite MCN! – Bitti Tuttos are my favourite modern cloth nappy. They make up the bulk of my stash, and I use them daily. I love the way they fit my bubba's bottom, I prefer the hipster design to the waisty design of other nappies. The minky outer is very good quality and surpasses the quality of their competitors. I love the snap-in design for the absorbers, it… Read more

means I can control how absorbent the nappy is and I know it will dry quickly the next day! Also, the multifit design of the Tuttos is the very best in the one size fits most market. Absorbent, well designed, good value.

Disappointing – Unfortunately these were just not absorbent enough for my son. Regardless of the combination of inserts I used, they would not last him through a couple of hours (let alone a long sleep) as they would leak, require constant changes and generate more washing. Disappointing as they are expensive. The microfibre is quick to dry. Not absorbent enough and expensive.

Great design and a wonderful nappy - just didn't work for us! – These are one of the most popular MCNs in Australia, but they just didn't work for us, which was a real shame! I love the Itti Bitti range anyway, and have plenty of Itti Bitti D'Lish SIOs which work wonderfully for my bub, so I was surprised that the Itti Bitti Tutto wasn't working - even after so many washes we still had problems with… Read more

leaking.

For me, the design and ease of use of MCNs is very important - I want to use them rather than disposables, so to fiddle around attempting to put the inserts together (and apparently there are so many different combinations you can do from them) just meant that these ended up sitting at the bottom of the nappy pile.

A gorgeous nappy, and I recommend all of the Itti Bitti products to everyone anyway, but these just didn't work out :( Cute, slim fitting (especially compared to other brands for a OSFA nappy), can fit variety of ages/sizes, love the plush minkee Not absorbent enough, issues with leaking time and time again, fiddly and confusing when putting together, one of the most expensive MCNs
