Unable to leave 0 stars, which is why they got 1 – Avoid At All Costs Cleaners arrived at house and immediately quoted an extra $300+ for stuff that was included in original quote, quote was done base off size of house, (and it's not hard to view the inside of a house online these days, but they would not come to the house to give us a quote, saying 'it's fine we can quote without seeing it' - first red flag right there).... its a 2 story house, so guess what there is stairs... they want an extra $150 to clean the stairs when they did not realise there was stairs.. even though its a 2 story house!! How do we get upstairs?? Then, 'oh you have 4 bedrooms in this 4 bedroom house that we quoted you on, so that will be an extra $100 for the extra bedroom' - it's a 4 bedroom house, that is what you quoted on......... and also, oh you have a garage, thats an extra $50 to clean. . seriously.. how did you not know this house was a 4 bed house, with a garage, and stairs..... They completely have you over a barrel, they know you need the work done as it's a bond clean, so what can you do but pay them. Absolutely and utterly avoid this company at all costs.

AVOID – DO NOT USE. Gave details of our house size/etc... then day of clean get a txt message in broken English stating the actual quote for the house would be DOUBLE what we had been told "due to size" and crazy add ons "add $30 for laundry cupboard" "add $30 as toilet isn't in bathroom" and the list goes on and on. Tried to call to discuss and dispute but no English for the guy txting. Finally got hold of the manager and she was equally rude told me "fine if you're not happy get someone else in to do the clean" - like thats a possibility at 1pm (they were late) when your keys are due back at 5pm. When I went back to pick up the keys the place looked awful - I have no idea how/what they cleaned the floors with but they were COVERED in watermarks (as someone already mentioned - shiny floor is extra apparently (extra than the $1000 you're already paying for a 4 bedroom house is great condition to begin with)).

As the reviewer below said I believe the 5 star reviews are not legit. I find it very coincidental that the names all sound to be of Chinese origin, as are the cleaners.

I also found cigarette butts throughout our lawn after they'd left.

AVOID AVOID AVOID.

Excellent!! – Great value and price! Kathy and the cleaning team bent over backwards to ensure the real estate was satisfied with the clean. They had great communication & were genuinely happy to help when the real estate got tough! Thanks James Bond!

They expect you to clean the unit before they arrive! Be aware of the unreasonable extra charges! – I received my bond back but they started saying the kitchen was dirty and tried to find things to charge extra. They tried to charge extra $80 from the original quote saying it was because of the state of the unit, they had to bring the equipment upstairs, etc. (the unit was actually partially cleaned as I started to do the cleaning myself before I decided to hire “professionals”). The quote terms & conditions stated that they would charge extra only if the cleaning took over 8 hours, there were no mention of extra charges for the condition of the unit or lifting equipment upstairs. When I refused to accept they said the cleaning would take over 8 hours – they finished the cleaning in under 5 hours! I did not pay the extra $80, I only paid an extra $20 for a dining area - even though the unit had a combined dining and lounge area.

Added extra money for standard items, left apartment closed and damp, broke item and said nothing – Cleaning is a crap job, which is why tenants pay companies like this to do it for them. We hired James Bond to do our end of lease clean, carpet clean and pest control. They were recommended by our real estate. Contacting them was a bit interesting - all by email. Now to the good and bad. Good: They did a complete job. They were punctual, polite and seemed efficient.

Bad:

1) PRICING. They provided a flyer with prices but then on the day when they came to "quote" they went around adding all these little extra charges for stuff that seemed to be on their standard cleaning list - for instance, I was charged extra for the kitchen because inside the cupboards wasn't clean and extra for walls, for some reason that wasn't explained. And extra for windows, because some of the windows had some mould on them. I accept extra for the bathroom because of the mould in the shower and for the extra size of the living room but the other charges seemed a beat up to push the price higher. When you've booked someone to come and do the work, you don't feel like you can say no. I ended up complaining why they were charging extra for walls and they did take that $20 extra off but I still paid $70 more than their price list would have led me to believe. They don't seem to list what the extra charges are anywhere, and it felt at the whim of the guy who was quoting us. The pricing was just baffling to me but I was desperate and I agreed to pay. I don't mind paying people a proper rate to do work but I resent being presented with prices then having them jacked on the spot without any reference to understand how it's being worked out.

2) How the flat was left. After steam cleaning the carpets, they left the unit completely closed up with every window shut. We returned (unexpectedly) the next day to make sure it was secure and found condensation running down the inside of every window, the air humid and dank. I was annoyed as I had told them I wasn't able to come back after they had finished, and they didn't mention any need to open a window. If we hadn't come back the place could have been growing mildew for weeks until the end of our tenancy. Further, we had gone to great lengths to clean and iron all the curtains (they don't clean curtains or blinds) and they had pulled the living curtains back and wrapped the hold-backs around them 3 times (why would you do that?), scrunching all the ironing work and leaving them looking horrible.

3) Broke a tap and said nothing. They snapped the bath tap in half. I have no idea how but they didn't mention it despite having both my mobile, my partner's mobile, and our email address. Why you would choose not to mention damage done to the property, I have no idea. Very unhappy about that, because of course we're responsible for fixing the tap or it's our bond.

In short, I wouldn't use them again, not because their cleaning was bad but because the above issues created more work and hassles for us. The idea of hiring an end of lease cleaner is to be able to walk away knowing that the apartment is guaranteed clean, and instead we're now having to go back and forth to get an item fixed so that the real estate doesn't penalise us for it.

I will post a comment on this review when the broken tap issue is resolved to advise how long it took.

Follow-up. James Bond's response on the tap was to argue that it just fell off when they turned the water on (which I find somewhat difficult to believe) and that they would only partly pay for the fix because it must have had damage already (we'd been using it every day without problems). In the end, I had to organise a plumber to come and determine why the tap broke. After that, the real estate agent did agree to pay for it because the tap had corrosion inside. However, this was all work I had to organise at short notice, while away on holidays, because the cleaners didn't tell us when it happened.
