Jamie Kay needs to make it a lot clearer or not allow parcel locker/PO box deliveries to go through. I've waited two months for a $55 dollar rabbit with embroidery only to find it went from FedEx to Aus Post who refuse to let me pick up the item. So now it has to go back to Jamie Kay who will charge me the shipping and postage. I accept my error… Read more

but I don't think there was enough done on the website to stop the delivery going to an address that can't be delivered to!

I used to absolutely love Jamie Kay and was a very regular buyer. The pieces were beautiful, felt thoughtfully made, and the quality really stood out. I would always receive compliments on how beautifully my children were dressed. It was one of those brands you genuinely felt good investing in. As the brand has grown, which is great for them, I’ve… Read more

noticed a significant shift. The clothing now feels much more like fast fashion: mass produced, with less attention to detail and a noticeable drop in quality. Unfortunately, the pricing hasn’t followed that shift, so you’re still paying a premium for items that no longer feel premium. It’s disappointing, because the brand built its loyal following on quality and design. This new direction clearly caters to a much larger, worldwide market, and I’m sure they will continue to do well. Unfortunately, they’re no longer the standout brand they once were.

Received a childs cardigan which is not the measurements in any way as another cardigan of the same size. You need to pay return shipping to NEW ZEALAND even though bought through their Australian website. The postage is nearly as much as the… Read more

cardigan - which is a clear deterrent when posting back. They deem this a change of mind return. Even after paying this they will not refund you only give you a credit. They do not pay for return postage for any goods clearly.

Follow-up  · Customer service is apalling and take no responsibility for the different sizing except to tell you to pay to ship it back to New Zealand which was almost as much as the cardigan and then they will not refund only give you a store credit so if the same problem again more money gone. Websites which say they sell in Australia should have a return address in Australia.

GOTS certification ensures that a textile product is made from organic fibers and processed through an environmentally and socially responsible supply chain. OEKO-TEX® certifies that every component of a textile product has been tested for harmful substances. These certifications are often misused by brands who claim certification without meeting… Read more

the requirements. Unfortunately, Jamie Kay is such a brand.

I recently placed an order with Jamie Kay, after seeing this page here, which suggests that organic cotton is GOTS certified, and garments use Oeko certified dyes (it's the wayback machine link in case they remove the page after my review drops): https://web.archive.org/web/20250520095430/https://jamiekay.co.nz/pages/about-us

Specifically: "Our garments are crafted with the loving hands of our team in India & China during our ethical production process ensuring all organic cotton is GOTS certified. Garments are coloured with Oeko certified dyes and arrive to your door safe & ready to be loved."

I confirmed with them by email, where a representative said “We want to assure you that we follow the OEKO-TEX standard and there are no harmful chemicals that go into our organic cotton dye.”

It turns out that none of their products are GOTS certified (as they cannot provide valid GOTS certification license numbers for any of their products).

And they are also not OEKO-TEX certified either. Based on OEKO-TEX's own guidelines, brands cannot claim OEKO-TEX compliance or certification unless a specific finished article (e.g., the exact garment or product) has been tested and certified in its entirety. All components (fabric, dye, thread, prints, accessories) must be included in the certification. OEKO-TEX is very clear that ingredient labelling (e.g., claiming the dye meets OEKO-TEX standard when the whole product is not) is not permitted, as it can be misleading. You can read more about this directly from OEKO-TEX here: https://www.oeko-tex.com/en/news/infocenter/labelling-and-greenwashing

It's disappointing to see this degree of greenwashing employed by Jamie Kay and this level of misrepresentation. Please support brands that are actually GOTS certified and products that hold valid OEKO-TEX certifications.

Ignored by customer service when asked about GOTS certification – While they say some of their clothes are GOTS certified, when I messaged to enquire further because there was no certification label on the clothes, I got no answer. I messaged them many times to find out more and no one responded. If you’re looking for organic clothing then don’t bother with them, you’re over paying. Terrible customer service. They just ignore you.

Terrible Customer Service and No Accountability – Customer service are incredibly dismissive and assumptive. I have a product I bought in May but only recently used, checked the product when it arrived but manufacturing faults appeared after washing. It is very clear the issue is in the manufacture as the seam has come undone and clearly wasn’t finished correctly. The company assumed that I… Read more

wanted to return and felt it necessary to reiterate their return policy is 21 days and that I had ‘well exceeded’ that. They accused me of not properly checking the product at time of purchase and said there was nothing they could do.

Incredibly disappointed, more so in the company and their terrible approach to customer service.

Poor quality clothes and the business refuses to engage – I bought five items from this business. I washed them once, according to the laundry instructions. The colour ran so badly that they were unwearable. I got in touch with them and explained what had happened, and they refused to engage with me.

Poor quality , faulty rate 100% – Consistent poor quality. I have recently purchased from this online store received the item with black mark on the embroidery, clearly a factory defect , then I remembered why I stop buying from them since the last time I purchased 6 years ago , because that time the product literally went into shreds after first wash. 2 out of 2 100% faulty… Read more

Jamie Kay is a wonderful brand. The quality, style and colour of the clothes are beautiful and timeless. And it’s just fun being in the Jamie Kay family. The sales and mystery boxes are always exciting! I never let a sale go by without topping up my children’s wardrobe.

Horrible customer service. 2 weeks and still no items. No accountability and genuinely do not give 2 cents about their customers. I should have read the reviews here first. Now I just want my money back.

Think twice before ordering – I bought a sleeping bag for my grandson.in August. The zipper was faulty. They wanted a photo. Then they emailed shipping return labels which wouldn't print out. We were supposed to contact DHL to arrange a pick up. DHL said the labels weren't satisfactory. Still have the faulty item. They make it so hard you might give up in the end! Faulty product. Bad customer service.

Jamie Kay Beautiful clothing horrible customer service – Jamie Kay clothing is beautiful especially if you’re into cotton. Their sizing is way off for my 3 year old daughter I have to purchase size 5 & 6. Pray you never need their customer service because it’s probably the worst I’ve ever experienced. If there’s an issue in quality or the website glitches and gives you the wrong size, if you buy… Read more

anything on sale they will not be refunding or giving you any form of credit. If you’re Australian I highly recommend Pure Baby or buying Jamie Kay from an Australian site because they really don’t care about their customers.

Charging Australians more and drop on quality – A once well loved brand now had seen a big drop in quality. Once I was able to pass the garments down through my children but now the clothes are wearing out, stretching and fading after a few wears. Recently the company decided to create a new website for its Australian clients, they used this change to charge us 10 percent more then anyone else… Read more

The worst! – The worst customer service!!! It’s like speaking with a computer! Their measurements were wrong on the website for the clothes and I have had to jump through hoops to return them! Then on top of this to post back is a nightmare! No properly set up system! Will never purchase from here again! Given the target audience of mums with babies/young children you would think they would make it a bit easier!

Amazing brand, comfortable and classic – I’ve been a customer with Jamie Kay since late 2021 and buy almost exclusively this brand now for my kids. The materials are unbelievably soft and comfortable, natural and breathable fibers. The style classic and timeless. Most pieces mix and match well, so it is easy to build capsule wardrobes. The customer service has always been responsive and… Read more

considerate. Shipping is so quick! I know they try to be ethical in their entire line of production. They often ask for customer feedback and are responsive to this feedback. My kids play outside and get muddy, etc. and the clothes wash well, making it easy to preserve for other siblings or to pass on to others. We always get compliments on them when out!

We love our Jamie Kay – Jamie Kay has been a staple for both my children for the past 3.5 years, it is the only brand that I don’t ever stress about my kids getting messy in as the stains always come out so easily, the clothing is not only gorgeous with styles and prints but dureable and great quality. Never received order! – Well I wouldn't buy from this place if you actually want clothes before the next season! I ordered shorts, then was asked to review an item I'd paid for and never received. Poor quality. Awful customer service – The quality of the clothes are poor and the sizing is way off. I was slightly late trying to return some items that were too small (I had bought a size up, and they were still too small). The don't offer refunds just store credit which I was aware of, however they refused to do a return for credit (they're not loosing money, I have to pay for the shipping). I won't ever buy from them again.

They lie to get your money – Ok parents just listen please. This brand claims to be organic and OEKO Tex. They are not! They will tell you they use “certified” dyes, but there is no proof. They will tell you it’s organic cotton, there is no proof. I have contacted them by email and on social media. They reply at first but as soon as I ask for evidence, they ignore. I have… Read more

Not a fan – I like the look of the clothes, but the quality is terrible. On a couple of tops, I can’t get the button through the loop on the back without 10 attempts and a broken nail. Also, the press-studs on our onesies lasted a couple of wears before either falling off or not holding at all/popping open. Very frustrating!

Be aware of Jamie Jay mystery bags rip off – While I was disappointed about the two mystery bags I purchased it has been helpful to read the reviews posted to affirm my experience of a lack of morals and poor business practices from the JK brand. The mystery bags were priced at $59.95 and the average price was therefore $12 per item received. I received three items at $7.97 or below from the… Read more

clearance section inc socks beanie and repeats of the same items in my two size orders so no variety for the same child. I would have saved money if I ordered from the clearance section over the mystery bag option. Also the language used is misleading stating some items will be from clearance section. Items received were either from clearance or old stock that could not sell. It has never been a brand I have associated with ugly but some of the items really were. I have chosen to donate to the sallies to make good of a bad mistake. In short the selection of the mystery brand shows a brand who has become greedy and it too arrogant to think it will not affect how their brand is received. I will no longer buy from JK and have encouraged friends and family to support alternate brands with integrity as the reviews show a pattern of poor practices.
