We just bought a really old 1976 Dove which has been renovated, including fairly new canvas. The seller put 2 new Clark Rubber mattresses in but said we need to take the off in the pack up. I would like to try leaving them on to see if the roof still compacts down but are a little concerned I might damage something. Has anyone experienced this with a thicker foam mattress?
