Great family van – Hands down this was a great purchase for a family of 5. The space the van offers you, particularly in cooler weather was excellent. We took this caravan on a lap around Australia and gave it a fair run. Did we have issues, of course we did, but there are a lot of things you can do to fix yourself but their overall network is incredibly helpful. The cost of the van as well is a major plus by comparison to others. Towing wise this is a heavy van and when loaded up you can really feel the difference. We chose the kitchen slide out which we used every day, highly recommend if you can compromise on no tunnel storage.

Purchased in for $68,000.

Great Caravan, Great Value – Value for money, upgraded from a 2012 expanda which we had many enjoyable trips, only downfall was ground clearance so we changed for the outback package. First trip was to Shark Bay where the van was home to 4 adults and 4 children. The van towed well, was very comfortable and everything functioned as it should have. The finish on the Jayco stacks up very well against more expensive caravans. I didn't give it 5 stars due to position of television cable box which gets knocked by the mattress, will have to pay for re-positioning at first service.

rubbish. bitterly disappointed – We purchased our new expanda outback caravan in sep 2014 and finally had it delivered in March 2015.after having in for almost 12 months now can highly recommend if you dont want to spend all your time returning your caravan back to the dealer dont buy a jayco.our caravan has so far spent a total off 8 weeks back at the dealer having repairs carried out such as fridge issues (on our second fride first was dead on arrival )problems with heater -aircon unit thermostat .cupboard doors falling to bits.external stickers peeling off and caravan is kept inside,go figure .most off our problems are due to poor workmanship. No quality control what so ever. Dealer attempted repairs not much better

After spending over 60g we were looking forward to creating family memories Instead we got a nightmare. My advice to anyone considering a jayco dont!!!

Expanda 20.63 outback - Love it - I wish I had it 10 years ago – Bought a new 20 foot Expanda outback earlier this year. We absolutely love it. We have 2 kids and its got plenty of room for all our gear. We didn't get the slideout lounge option but kinda wished we did. It's so addictive. We've always been campers. Had a Jayco Eagle for about a year before buying this one. The Expanda's are king of the castle if you ask me - especially this model.

I see a lot of whingers on here complaining about completely minor issues. Either get a screw driver and adjust the cupboards yourself or drive it back to your dealer to get it fixed. I had a couple of issues with mine - the main door needed adjusting, had a cupboard which had a scratch on it, and some of the push buttons weren't catching properly (fixed most myself). Took it back to my dealer and they sorted it out. Simple. They had ordered the new cupboard piece when we did my handover and had it ready for my first service. It all went through warranty no probs.

As for Expanda beds leaking - I'm seeing alot of complaints. People don't understand canvas. It's a material, so it isn't going to be 100% waterproof. Mine also allowed moisture in - where the blanket was touching. I water proofed it with bradproof which I got at my local camping shop and its really good now. Also I ordered the black mesh privacy screen with my van and that also helps when its raining. I've seen other Expanda's with vinyl covers that clip onto the underside of the hard lid. I don't know where they got them from but they would also work good when it rains i reckon.

Anyway - if you're time poor like me then the only way to enjoy time with your family is with one of these. You won't find any other van manufacturer with prices and features like these. Trust me, I shopped around and the other manufactures salemen only pitch was to bag out Jayco's but look closely and they use the exact same appliance and components. Great service, features, price. Tows great. Looks good. Got a gas bayonet so I don't need to drag another gas bottle around. Got triple bunks (one extra for cousins/friends) Some cabinetry on the light and flimsy side. Minor problems that can be fixed with a screw driver.
