their promotional videos are not the removalist that turn up. It took 10.5 hours to move a small 2 bedroom unit. We ended up moving most of the boxes ourselves. They are inexperienced backpackers.
This is the third time we have chosen JB removals to help our complicated moves. While the move was good , they damaged a freezer and now refuse to respond to our query with insurance. kept me updated on their arrival time, wrapped and protected everything properly, and loaded/unloaded with precision. They even made sure everything was placed exactly where I wanted in my new home.
Even though I was paying by the hour, they worked quickly and efficiently without wasting a minute. Honestly, the whole process was stress-free and far better than I expected. I’ve already recommended JB Removals to my friends, and I’ll definitely be using them again.

and some lounges - no white goods. They took the deposit then messaged me the night before to say the driver has injured his foot and they cannot get there till between 12-3pm. I messaged them and called them to tell them how urgent my move was and if they could at least make it by 12pm. They did not turn up till 1.30pm after constant calling and texting them. Then they sent a small truck even when I provided specs for all my furniture making the move longer with two trips and I ended up paying for over 7.5 hours over $1400 instead of shorter time. Paying such eye-wateringly high price with no compensation offered is just awful. Will NOT be using them ever again. Read the other reviews - they are right. I should have read the reviews before I booked them but I was in a rush.
The company quoted a rate per hour but was vague about how those hours are worked out. Once the truck was loaded, the driver took 2 and a half hours to get from Oran Park to Bondi. While I acknowledge that a truck would take longer to travel that distance than a car, it should not take 1.5 hours longer. I suspect that the drivers stopped for lunch… Read more

Easy process, friendly staff. The 3 guys who did the job were courteous, efficient and hard working. We are very satisfied with the job done. The truck provided was a bit smaller than needed but our destination was a short distance and they did two loads. Still value for money.
$2000 to move a piano. We specifically asked about insurance and were assured it was covered. We used for our move in Sydney. They tried to overcharge us, repeatedly tried to shift blame for not completing the task, and refused to pick up the boxes and packaging not used (which they guarantee same day pickup as part of their service). Terrible service, terrible experience, terrible customer service. Picture of boxes we had to dump because they refused to pickups promised. Avoid.

Started off with a strong start, two men showed up and were efficient in the first hour. I liked the way they wrapped items and ensured everything was delivered safely. for their belongings - leaving the truck unlocked / back open and all of my stuff half packed on the main road. There was no communication as to where they went and I wasn't sure if this was a scam or not at the time (side note: I don't think it was in the end). I wasn't sure if my move was going to be completed that day, I tried to call up the company but they were extremely unhelpful and hard to communicate with on the other end. This added SO much stress on top of an already really stressful move (post breakup so emotions were already high & I needed to be out by a certain time). I also think I was charged an extremely high fee for an easy move (1.5 apartment, ground floor). I do not recommend and this was an extremely stressful move.

because it wasn't safe. That's your companies responsibility! - Later witnessed these amateurs drop my printer after attempting to place it onto a table while damaging main components and some smaller parts that are irreplicable! - Gave this company every opportunity to organise themselves with provided photos. No such on-site visit was bothered to be arranged even after the suggestion. - Was told this company was able to move my table saw just by looking at the photos. They were going to try this but after they dropped my printer, there's no way I was letting that happen. What are the odds that they would have dropped that too? - Had to hire yet another removalist that could actually complete the job and it was chalk and cheese. No dramas unlike this company. - $500 was taken off my bill for the table saw as compensation. This still didn't cover not even a quarter of the repairs. - They also damaged a work bench wheel just by not being careful, something so simple.
The way this company handled my small business' equipment has been atrocious and disrespectful. Mistakes happen but after this experience, I've learnt what to look out for with companies like this. Make sure you read their contracts and don't believe everything they say. I haven't received any compensation from their insurance for the damage and I highly doubt it's coming or if they even care.

Never use this company. They don't even deserve one star. They left my portable spa on the side of the road (from my old terrace) and spent most of the time sitting down smoking while my daughter and I did the heavy lifting. Never again. We had to hire a Ute to finish the move ourselves.

and did a good job, but then put me on the spot to pay an additional ~$500 compared to the quote. Jack is refusing to refund the fabricated call-out/travel charge, and I will be forced to go to Fair Trading. They say they don’t have hidden fees, but they absolutely do, and the conduct has been unconscionable.
I would never use or recommend JB Removals again, based on the deceptive conduct and misleading advertising.

verbally abused and berated for even calling them for an update.. the missing pod/mod contained essential items (including my daughters bed). When they finally phoned with an update they told me they thought they found it but it wouldn’t be delivered for another 2 days…. Eventually they agreed it would be delivered the following afternoon. After I told them I was withholding payment of final part of invoice until I had spoken with manager given issue with delivery and poor customer service they charged my credit card without authorisation for the full amount.
I would avoid this business at all costs and go elsewhere! What was already a stressful time was made ten times worse but their aggressive and extremely unhelpful staff.
Did not turn up. Horrible experience – Paid deposit, never turned up. Said we had the date wrong, our receipt for deposit showed we were right. Very rude, said he would refund but only did this after we lodged a complaint with fair trade nsw. The best there is! – The best removals service I have ever experienced! The guys were polite and always asked me how I wanted things done. The service was on time and completed without breaking or scratching any of my furniture. The best there is! Well done JB Removals!
Worst removal company I have ever used – Took and charged 16 hours to pack and move a small 3 bed apartment 3km across Sydney. Team of two pleasant but hopeless. Promised to collect used cardboard boxes but didn’t having waited all of the allotted day. Avoid this company at all costs - they managed to make a 3km move more stressful and nearly as expensive as a 15000km one.

They are very inexperienced and unprofessional, especially if you have to deal with [Name Removed] - they cut my leather couch when they unwrapped and didn’t tell anything and I had to pay more than $500.00 to fix. took 2 of them 4 hours to pack the truck and another 3 &1/2 to unpack 5 minutes up the road. They were the slowest movers I have ever dealt with. The when trying to over charge me which I didn't agree with, Jeff Borstell on the phone instructs them to take all my stuff back into the truck which I the called the police, as that is illegal!!!!! When one of them tried to start taking boxes back out my 15 year old daughter tried to get it from him a grown man elbows and pushes her out of the way!!!!! Absolute harassment. Waited for the police to escort them off the property and leave as we did not feel safe with them after the altercation. Friday afternoon and the contact person at JB had said to shift my move to earlier in the afternoon at 4pm so I had agreed. To accommodate for that time, I took a half day off work. On the day I received zero communication from the company even just to say they were on their way. I waited till 4.40pm until I had to reach out myself via the general contact number. The admin person I spoke to had no idea where the guys doing the job where. After I followed up, I got sent a message saying they were coming at 5.30 due to delays. Understood that unexpected things happen but no communication was appalling. The half day off work ended up a waste and it just meant it would take longer battling peak time traffic. When I secured the booking, I had also sent Jack the instructions with a map on where to park to make accessing the pick up location quicker and easier. I asked the removalists if they had received this and they said no. Clearly this important information had not been forwarded on and so I had to dig through all my messages to send it again directly to the removalists. The removalists eventually came at 5.30 and completed the move. The job the actual removalists done was decent who were diligent and hard workers. I could not fault them on their work ethic. When I had made the initial enquiry and subsequent booking with Jack, I had asked about the 10% discount shown on the website for new clients. When it came to make payment and the discount wasn’t showing, I asked again. Contacting Jack again, he now advised me it was only for storage clients. I told them I had asked about this during my calls to organise the move and I hadn’t been told this before. There are no terms and conditions on the website saying it only applied to storage clients and the advertised discount also appears on the web pages specifically related to just moving (e.g moving calculator) so how is a regular customer to know? I spoke to another manager and he said he would listen back to the calls and look into this. One or two weeks go by and I hear nothing. I followed up and asked if they’d be listened to but they hadn’t. I asked again and was assured they would relisten to them. Then of course I never hear anything again. The absolute lack of communication and not addressing raised issues is extremely disappointing. Double peddling on conditions agreed to seems standard with this company. They just ignore you waiting until you are a customer that just goes away. Please save your time, money and frustration and you could go with literally anybody else.

about 5 hrs, took them over 8 hours. Told us they couldn't move a bookcase which we later did ourselves. When I called the office numerous times to discuss some issues the office man did not bother calling back.

the job properly. This move took 14 hours!!! The washing machine was fixed incorrectly, causing our laundry to completely flood, resulting in additional damages and expenses. They also didn’t finish setting up our gym equipment which they stated they would complete. I PAID FOR 4 MEN TO DO THIS JOB!!!
What's even more frustrating is their lack of responsiveness in addressing these issues. I've been trying to get a $200 refund for their mishandling of the piano, which was left in my driveway and is now stored in my garage, in the wrong location. Their negligence and disregard for customer satisfaction are truly disheartening. I’m honestly shocked. I’m a really decent person and to have this kind of experience has really made my move harder than it should be.
To make matters worse, they have blocked my number, making it nearly impossible to communicate and resolve these problems. I asked them to call me to just talk this through and they wouldn’t. This experience has left me thoroughly dissatisfied and frustrated with their services. I strongly advise anyone considering this removal company to look elsewhere for a more reliable and responsible option.
The worst owners I’ve ever dealt with – Smashed my TV over a year ago. Made excuses not to reimburse me and just walked away leaving me with a broken TV. Owners are disgusting. No moral, no remorse just scum. AVOID and give your money to people who deserve to run a business. Karma will come to the owners.

mistake lifting the stone bench top and it was shattered into a million pieces. Plus they wouldn't listen to my staff on this or on packing their truck so they wouldn't have to make a double trip [more charges of course]. We were going to hold back the second payment, as we were told the job would be investigated but we did the right thing and paid their invoice....the finding of their investigation, you guessed it, it was regrettable. once I started to speak the way he was speaking to me, he hung up and didn’t respond to any texts or calls. Pathetic.
Summary and facts: booked removalists from Lilyfeild to Central Coast. They completed the job in a reasonable timeframe and we’re actually two really nice guys who were professional and courteous - obviously not trained by [Name Removed] although I’m sure he’s paying them the bare minimum. Job was completed in 7 odd hours. They charge 155 and hour (but as other reviews state this is how they are maximising profit but sending you the bare minimum and essentially underquoting).
The original quote (I thought) was reasonably accurate for a three bedroom home - although I must have underestimated the amount will admit this) - however, I am not a removalist and did my best to estimate…also their ridiculous estimator doesn’t have any options for other items that aren’t “boxes” (see email attached) AND when I asked for the quote to add extra boxes and surfboards (he did not amend the volume required and 100% would have changed the volume they quoted) the van was too small for everything, therefore I now have to do the rest myself. He didn’t seem to give a crap on the phone and frankly his solutions were pathetic.
The “‘manager” stated I had “double” the volume (and kept saying this until he hung up on me - great phone manners) I had on my original quote but you don’t have to have an IQ of 5 to realise that if that was the case the actual volume I would have needed transported would have been 32.5 m3 and yet almost everything got into a 24m3 van - so he was lying to me directly and saying “this was a red herring”. It was not in-fact double it was a few m3 above but again I AM NOT A REMOVALIST and anyone with basic maths skills can deduce this fact. I highly recommend you (if you’re thinking of using these lot… I would never use these cowboys again and will tell ever person I know to never use them) VASLTY OVER ESTIMATE what you have so these clowns can’t do what they did to me. When they send you that piece of crap estimator double everything. At least you’ll get a van that can take what you have.
His “solution” was really no solution that anyone with an ounce of customer service skills would say and was to basically pay for more hours for another truck. All the while he said this to me in the way a person speaks to a dog.
So 1500 dollars for not all my stuff to be moved that I’ll now have to do myself. Joke of a company.

for 9am) but they would advise us on the day with a more specific time. On the day we had to call the company twice to follow up. When the movers did arrive it was clear they were upset at being called out to another job (not our fault!) and that their truck wouldn't fit all our furniture (despite us providing the company with a list of items when we booked). That meant 2 trips so we were charged extra. We moved from a 2 bed apartment into a 2 bed apartment, literally around the corner. When I booked the company gave an estimation of 4 hours to complete the move but it took them 8+ hours to finish at a cost of $1300 - outrageous! My husband even had to direct them how to get pieces of furniture out of the apartment & into the truck and he also took 6-10 boxes in our car to save time as they were particularly slow. So, despite them being very nice guys they were clearly inexperienced with apartment moves (specifically lift/garage access) and they didn't really seem to know what they were doing a lot of the time. Sadly I'd hesitate to recommend this company to anyone.
