Terrible dealership, Warranty is a joke and FCA are useless
My Jeep wrangler has been at Peter Warren Jeep warick farm for over 2 months to do a warranty repair due to it leaking inside when it rains. What was supposed to be a 1 week job to change seals and front carpets has taken forever with no communication and when I finally get through to them it is constant lying on why they haven't done it yet. FCA are hopeless and have no ability or empowerment over dealerships to do anything when handling complaints and have not taken any action to date. I lodged complaint to ACCC and Fair trading only to have ...FCA complaints person Sam tell me to please direct the complaints to Peter Warren Jeep and not Jeep Australia (who the warrantyis with). I go to Jeep Warwick Farm and see my Jeep in the carpark collecting dirt and water making the leak situation worse.
Never buy a Jeep
My daughter's Jeep is only 2 years old. Driving back to Townsville after Easter break 2022 her exhaust filter alarm came on saying 100% (no warning) and put the car in limp mode. She called the Jeep dealer in Townsville to book it in, only to be told she will have to wait a month before they can look at it.
I contacted head office in Australia to resolve the issue so she can drive the car. Head office flogged me off, not one bit interested in getting the car fixed. When I explained this cannot be safe to drive I was told it is your daughter's...responsibility not to drive an unsafe car for the month. If you care about your loved ones safety and having a reliable vehicle then never buy a Jeep. They do not care about your safety and happy for you to walk everywhere for weeks when they break down. Jeep is disgraceful and I would never recommend buying this crap brand.
First Class Service, Anthony Darmanin Werribee Jeep Vic
We Purchased a Jeep Wrangler through Anthony Darmanin at Werribbee Jeep Victoria. We were Interstate purchasers, and Anthony was very helpful, a pleasure to deal with. When I flew down to Victoria from Qld to pickup the vehicle, it was everything he had promised, and his dedication to making sure it would be a trouble free trip back to Qld was very much appreciated....thank you Anthony.
Poor workshop service
I bought a new 2015 Jeep Grand Cherokee in June 2015. At the 3 month service I notified the dealer of a fault with the transmission whereby when at first start up the transmission delayed to drive when put either in reverse or drive. At all subsequent services I have notified them of the same but no attempt to remedy the fault has been made by them. All along they maintained that no other cars of the model had the same problem, that was said by them and also FCA the importers of the Jeep’s. I have continued all along to get them to fix this fau...lt at which they both said they wouldn’t walk away from the issue. Finally in February 2021 they admitted that some cars of this model did have the same problem, their explanation was that the torque converter was draining and the delay was due to the time it took to refill, this is not correct as I have proved that if I switch the ignition on for 30 seconds before starting the engine the transmission will drive as soon as I select either drive or reverse. In December 2021 I contacted them again and was told they would get the car in for testing but not till January 2022. I contacted them early in January 2022 and was told that FCA were meeting 12-1-2022 and would discuss the problem. I have phoned or gone into the dealer 3 times since and they have just fobbed me off, the last time I called was 15th February and I am still waiting for the service manager to phone back. I have contacted the office of fair trading just recently and am waiting to see if they can help with conciliation, they suggested that I may have to take it to QCAT or engage a solicitor to take action against them. As this has gone on I am convinced that they don’t know how to fix it. A very poor example of vehicle dealer service
Nothing but trouble with the car and now Jeep refuse to fix the issue
I bought my Jeep Grand Cherokee in 2017 in Sydney and after a year of owning the vehicle, the engine light came on. Since then, I have taken the vehicle in 12 times for them to try find and fix the issue to no avail, the engine light has been on for 3 years. Now the car is out of warranty and Jeep are making me pay to diagnose and try to fix the issue. I find it absolutely disgraceful given the extent I worked with them to try and resolve it. If you buy a Jeep, be prepared for them to try and get out of having to fix it for you.
Jeep needs a class action suit taken against them - count me in
Absolutely appalled. My 2 year old Jeep Grand Cherokee Night Eagle had a "FIRE" in the engine. Unknown what damage has been caused other that it has been at a dealership since. The complete mechanical failure happened 24/10/2021 and I write this on 16/01/2022, still not knowing what is wrong with my car or when I will ever have it back. I am struggling financially and emotionally. What a mess !
Nice vehicle but bad warranty sevicing!
Just recently took my 2015 KL Cherokee for its 6 monthly (10000km) sevice at Aspley Jeep Brisbane and was told i needed a new LH headlight bulb as it was "inoperable" and would cost $572 i just laughed at this service desk person and told him to go and check his pricing, while he shuffled off i also checked online for the part for my Jeep and found i could order it at Supercheap Auto for $65.00, when he came back i showed him and asked him to justify their price and he got all flustered, i told him there was no way i was going to pay that much ...for a light bulb, as it turns out when i got home i checked my head lights and there was absolutely no problem with them, be very weary when going in for a service, they will try and wring $$$ out of you everytime, they also told me i have a leaking oil filter housing ( which i know about and which is caused by the service technicians over torquing when replacing)and told me it will cost $1480 to fix, I've been quoted $680 elsewhere which i have accepted!
A remarkably disappointing experience.
To those who want to place your order at Brighton Jeep:
I had a remarkably disappointing experience.
On 24/4/2021, I ordered a 2021 JGC S-limited at Brighton Jeep and signed a contract, panoramic sunroof is also included in the contract. I paid the remaining fees and picked up this car on 30/11 and found the sunroof was not fitted in the car, I went back to them and they claimed that Jeep has stopped making 2021 S-limited GC WITH panoramic sunroof 6 months ago due to COVID(?) and they stopped making slimited with sunroof(?), they thus delive...red an S-limited WITHOUT sunroof to me. The truth is, Jeep has just stopped producing slimited with sunroof until this month and last couple of slimited will be arriving in Australia next month. I have confirmed with many other dealers about this. The funniest thing is, nobody had noticed me of this matter (if it was true) from signing the contract to the delivery - no joke - NO ONE had noticed me of this matter in the past 8 months even after I paid the remaining fees, which includes the cost of the sunroof. They offered me a solution that to refund the money of the car or the money of the sunroof while I insist on getting me a replacement with sunroof. I highly doubt that they sold my car to others with a higher price than my contract and replaced me with one that has no sunroof in the absence of my consent. I don’t need to be refunded, I just need them to perform the original contract, and now they are telling me they could not get any Slimited, if they could have let me know this, I would have requested them to find another car for me. Words are just words, attached photos are my contract, the real car that I picked up and our chat history. I hereby promise my words are true.
What a lemon
Bought keep grand Cherokee 2017 used 2019 blew the engine fought for insurance but to no avail as the problem was a flexible hose.Surprise flexible hose not covered.Could only afford a second hand engine replacement only 17000 on clock. Now in 2021 another flexible hose leaking which are both under engine and would have blown motor again but had the car taken to a keep place.Jeep Australia wont accept any fault as I have a second hand motor!!!!! Insurance and car manufacturers know how to work the system. Absolutely devastated
Don't believe the marketing hype
5 months waiting for parts...not good enough and the companies response is pretty much bad luck, you can wait!
New car was damaged in accident in mid May and now (mid October) parts are still not avaialble to repair vehicle. The car has been undrivable longer than we have owned it. Jeep cutomer care is non existent. Each call or email is similar response, and luck just wait. The dealer we purchased from couldn't care less even though the franchise will be supplying $20k of parts. They advertise on customer care with slogan 'we have your back" b...
Best purchasing service
Recently found the exact vehicle we had been looking for a traded in 2018 Mercedes C200 2 door coupe Knox Jeep had with 17,000 kms on the clock with all the expensive extra's and our preferred colour (white). We agreed on a price and delivery by CEMA car carriers Vic to Qld.
Having purchased 2 other cars interstate in the past, the whole process was so smooth and professional and kudos to Janine and Corine who handled the sale and answered all of our questions and even sent us a basic video of the car walk around, well done. Will return wth update once car arrives in two weeks time.
Car arrived in FNQ found wheels and rear black wrap problems but all resolved from Knox Jeep in a very professional way by Corine, so highly recommended.
fda jeep Australia
i have a jeep srt, 2015 model with engine issues, how does a 90000 car with 150000km have engine problems, got quoted for 15000 to fix , after reading forums online my engine issues are very common with the 6.4l srt engines, fda jeep refuses to honor the ACL and will not repair my car
Jeep's are nothing but trouble
We have experienced problems requiring our Jeep to be off the road for lengthy periods of time due to major failures. The vehicles are not reliable and fraught with poor quality specially in the mechanical and electrical department. Neither the dealer or Jeep really care and won't provide much in the way of customer service.
Jeep Southport scammers
On 7th April 2021 we attended the Jeep Southport showroom @1.30 pm which we had a appointment with [Name Removed], we enquired about a 2020 Sting grey Jeep gladiator. [Name Removed] conveniently said I have one here in the showroom which I prepared for you ; which we then viewed ( the only car we viewed) we were very impressed with the vehicle and agreed on a deal for a price etc , we put down a deposit on the car we had viewed in the showroom displaying 23kms ( our contract stated 23kms also)
Thursday 15th of April we went to the showroom to...collect our new vehicle to then be presented with a car which we never agreed on !!! The original car we viewed was still in the showroom and supposedly wasn’t the car we were getting. We never agreed to this ! Upon inspection on collection the vehicle we were provided with had 250kms on the clock , a huge dent in the rear tailgate , rust on the straps at the rear , completely dirty inside and out , scratches on the interior and roof , faded plastics, warning lights on the dash and scratches on the bumper and side of the vehicle. I was angry and spoke to staff about this they were so busy about leaving to go home that they told us to take the vehicle and they will sort us a new car the next business day or have this one fixed , due to having our two small children with us we agreed to return the vehicle to them the following Wednesday. The next day we inspected the car in daylight and discovered it was completely rusted underneath on the frame , I was furious I demanded a new car then and then. They then changed their minds and decided that they weren’t going to give us a new vehicle and that they would simply refund us , which was no good to us as we needed the car as a work vehicle straight away , I asked for a new vehicle and they simply refused !!! Since then I have now been asking them to repair the vehicle and damage and they won’t help me at all , even though they stated they would fix the damage to begin with it’s like they have simply changed their minds . I am now stuck with a vehicle that needs repairs in the thousands , I also missed out on the complimentary service because they refused to do it . Save yourself the drama and shop elsewhere ! These guys are crooks and I wouldn’t recommend sunshine automotive group to anyone !!!! I have a media company who are more than happy to do a story on this and it seems to be my only option , it’s no threat it’s a promise , I hope no one ever has to go through this
Jeep service review Cairns
I think that my car service was overpriced and think it is quite pathetic that the car after a $2300 bill is sent back filthy. I was informed that due to complaints of scratches no car washes are attended. So what is the excuse for not vacuuming the inside! Bad service!! This is the Cairns one not Sydney now moved here.
Questions & Answers
Can anyone tell me why Peter Stevens Ballarat no longer has the franchise to service Jeep, Fiat and more. They had a brand new service centre and as far as I was aware all was well. Went down this morning to book in for a service only to find that I now have to go to Bendigo or Werribee. I love my Jeep Grand Cherokee. They are a beautiful car to drive as well as having plenty of power and good fuel economy. Pain when you have to travel 100 kilometres or more each way to get a service. Appears ridiculous that a town as big as Ballarat looses a service franchise for Jeep , Fiat and more.
We use My Car for all our Jeep servicing, great team and always call prior to authorising any repairs - Jeep Dealers are just making work for themselves at our expense. At 2000km since last service t...here was no need for your vehicle to be serviced, they should have advised you of this - we feel for your pain and hope the world is better and your circumstances in 2021 - take care
