sort things out. It was very much appreciated. Unfortunately during the install my back fence was damaged and 2 panels had to be replaced. Instead of outsourcing the work to be done the company enlisted the help of Christian (a person used solely for air-conditioning installations) to do the work. This poor chap was unindated with work and the fence was finally fixed after 3 months - not a happy Chappy! Catherine Moulder
Follow-up · Yes, the repair to the fence was satisfactory, although a young apprentice to Christian installed the fence in the end. They were normal colourbond fence panels that were installed. The damage to the fence resulted (I think) when the old machine was taken out and lodged on a grassed area (obviously not secured) resulting in the machine toppling over and hitting the fence. At least the person responsible for the mishap did own up to the damage.

Evaporate air con has broken down twice a year, every year and is 5 years old. Then the ride admin staff cancel technician 2 hours prior to appointment as a warranty technician needs to come out. Would not recommend this company! – Shocking workmanship, wife had to take off 6 days to accommodate them returning to fix their mess ups from leaking pipes to stuck open valves to loose and broken tiles. It took 3 weeks to complete because they use contractors who just smash it in as fast as they can so they can get on to the next job and were impossible to get back to fix their… Read more
shoddy workmanship. The company kept giving us their numbers so we had to to all the managing. All we got out of it was a whole lot of heartache and a "free" maintenance voucher. Lesson learned, my advise use a company that has its own permanent staff and does not use contractors.

Don't take ownership and ignore you – We would not recommend using Mouritz. We have a valid Mouritz's Fujitsu extended 2 year warranty above and beyond the 5 year warranty from Fujitsu. time of year and extremely hot. We responded to the email stating we have the 2 year extended warranty with Mourtiz with the 4th year service conducted by Mouritz as per our initial application form. We called the next morning and were told they did not have the 2 year extended warranty on file. We emailed the documents just after 10:30 am. We called at the opening of business at 8:36 am the next morning. We asked if she had received the documents and we asked to have an air conditioner technician sent out. We were informed that her manager would be looking at it that day. We asked when we would hear back from herself and she stated she would call back at the end of the day. No call was received. I called the next day, now being Thursday, 6/2/2025 at 11:42am and she stated it would be going through warranty and we would hear from the scheduling people that day.
At 1:30 pm the same day 6/2/2025 the scheduling department called and informed us that Fujitsu don't have the 2 year extended warranty on file. Telling me it had to be lodged with Fujitsu. We explained that we were told by the Mouritz salesman via email to fill out the Mouritz 2 year extended warranty form (which is on their Mouritz letterhead) and email it back to him with the signed contract. We emailed the completed paperwork for the purchase of the air conditioner and the extended warranty before the installation of our air conditioner back in 2018 (emailed: 21/6/2018 at 6:45pm), and that the salesman said he would fully register the extended warranty for us, with him never having stated we had to submit any form to Fujitsu ourselves. The Mourtiz scheduling person stated she would call her Fujitsu contact and then call us back. She called back at 2:16pm stating that we should have emailed the form to Fujitsu. We explained that we never received any communication from Fujitsu and only ever dealt with Mouritz. We reiterated that we had completed all the forms we were given, including having the 2 year extended warranty service completed by Mourtiz in the 4th year which covered all parts and labour as per the original 5 year Fujitsu warranty. She was sympathetic but stated she wasn't able to help us. We asked for the contact person at Fujitsu and then called them. We were unable to resolve or speak to a higher manager by the end of the day. So, we created a case number and informed Fujitsu of our predicament which we required their assistance to resolve.
On the 7/2/2025 we called Mourtiz and asked for the General Manager of Mouritz email so we could email with our predicament and ask for assistance to resolve our current non-operational air conditioner since the 3/2/2025. We were given an email which was not the General Managers and the best they would give us, so we sent our letter and supporting documentation to this address for attention of the General Manager Mouritz.
By 3:34 pm 7/2/25 a Fujitsu representative had called us. Fujitsu looked into the matter and our 2 year extended warranty was not with them. As a gesture of goodwill Fujitsu organised a call out by their technician to attend on the 20/2/25. There were no slots earlier due to the hot weather and high volume of work this produced. Fujitsu would not cover the parts and labour for a fix but would wave the callout fee. We kindly accepted the offer as it was explained to us that Mouritz arranges for Fujitsu to attend anyway. Fujitsu was going to further investigate in case they missed something.
We did not hear from Mourtiz at all by the close of business Friday, 7/2/2025.
On Monday 10/2/25 we emailed a supplementary email to Mouritz to pass to the appropriate people within Mouritz, which stated Fujitsu's position and offer to have their technician attend and waive the call out fee. By 9:04 am another person from Mouritz called us. She did not state her title or full name. She said she believed we had an issue with our warranty to which we replied, yes, we do. She stated she saw we had accepted the goodwill offer from Fujitsu for a call out and diagnosis of the issue and to go ahead with that on the 20th. I stated to her, so she had read or supplementary letter from today, to which she replied yes. She said to send Mouritz the report after the Fujitsu visit to get it all fixed. We asked her to confirm all she had said in an email to us, to which she replied, “sure that's not a problem”. No email has ever been received from this individual of Mouritz to confirm their position and giving us the avenue to ask further questions and gain clarity, as by the 20th we were going to not have had a working refrigerative air conditioner, in hot and humid weather for over two weeks. At 5:18pm just after close of business on the 10/2/25 we sent an email again to the only email address with had for a Mourtiz person (as we do not have one for the person who called) asking that person to ask the other to email us with what was discussed over the phone in writing as she agreed to. We never received any further email correspondence from either of them, which still stands as of today 23/2/2025. We are being ignored by Mouritz and there is no commitment to us as customers of the company, who have a valid Mouritz's Fujitsu 2 year extended warranty.
By Wednesday, 12/2/2025 we heard back from Fujitsu. We explained how the Mouritz staff contacts we had to resolve the issue were ignoring us and so the Fujitsu contact was going to contact Mouritz for us and see what he could do. On the 18/2/2025 we contacted the Fujitsu representative via email and on the 19th had received their reply that our 2 year extended warranty was never with Fujitsu and instead is with Mouritz. This is something we have stated all the time and has been confirmed by Fujitsu.
The Fujitsu technician attended and walked in with the part required to fix our air conditioner with a 11-1 error under his arm. He stated he would fix it for us that day. We were hesitant and explained it is under a Mouritz Fujitsu 2 year warranty and not a Fujitsu warranty. He said he had the part and it is an easy fix and that it shouldn't be delayed in the hot weather and with it so hard to get appointments, which we totally agree with. He then went and diagnosed and found two other cards needed replacing, so 3 all together. The job was completed very quickly and payment for work done is required by Fujitsu there and then. We had to pay. As already organised the call out fee was waived by Fujitsu.
At 11:53 am 20/2/25 we emailed the Mouritz contact we had and asked her to pass the email to the more senior person who had called us from Mouritz. The Fujitsu repair worksheet and our payment receipt were attached. The message stated for her to email us to arrange reimbursement to ourselves for the repair of our air conditioner under our Mouritz's Fujitsu 2 year extended warranty.
Again, we have not had anyone from Mouritz contact us so we can be reimbursed. Please contact us so we can be reimbursed asap.

trying again. While this sometimes works, it does not resolve the issue consistently.
Recently, we reached out directly to Fujitsu, and they sent a technician to diagnose the problem. The technician identified a potential installation fault: the drain does not have a trap. This oversight should have been avoided during the installation process, as it would have ensured compliance with the installation manual.
Upon contacting Mouritz, they clarified that they only replaced the unit and utilised the existing ductwork, thereby absolving themselves of responsibility for this issue.
However, it is evident that Mouritz performed some work on the drain. The previous outdoor unit was located outside the bedroom, while the new outdoor unit has been relocated to the area outside the kitchen. Consequently, the new drain has also been repositioned to align with the new outdoor unit.
Secondly, when Mouritz informed us that they could use the existing ductwork and only replace the indoor and outdoor units, we placed our trust in their expertise. During the installation, the technician should have followed the installation manual and conducted thorough checks to ensure the system’s proper functioning and compliance with the required standards.
However, Mouritz now demands payment for an inspection and repair of the issue. We harbour doubts about this request, as they failed to guarantee the system’s functionality and adherence to the necessary standards during the initial installation. How can we rely on their expertise to address the problem effectively? We would prefer to seek services from a reputable service provider who can guarantee the system’s proper functioning and compliance with industry standards.
Mouritz’s response has led us to believe that they prioritise unit replacement over system optimisation and long-term reliability. This lack of concern for the system’s performance is unacceptable and constitutes poor service.
Furthermore, we inquired Fujitsu if their authorized service providers who install their products have the necessary certifications or quality control measures. If certified, how could they have overlooked this critical issue?

Not happy – I requested my aircon unit to be serviced. Mouritz has been servicing it since 2021. Today they declined to service it. They are aware that it is a two storey unit but insisted I put up safety points for them. They have been here on several occasions and that was never a problem and it was never mentioned before. Subcontractors did not adhere to the initial plans and fail to inform the builder or homeowner of changes. Post-signing, Sales Managers often become unresponsive, leading to unresolved issues. My negative experience with Mourtz Air involved a lack of adherence to plans and poor communication, resulting in wasted money and unresolved issues. I cannot recommend their services.
