Haider was a very pleasant young man, he quoted us what we thought was a fair price to remove a bbq that was plumbed to the gas. He did the job, took the old bbq to the nature strip for council pick up.

I had Jim ‘s service send me a plumber who was prompt very satisfied with his work l have now asked him to do another job for me his name was Benjamin what a great guy felt very comfortable dealing with him excellent job.

Came to find gas leak. As expected, was in connection to old stove being removed. He was here for a little more than half an hour, clamping the pipe to the old stove. Had quoted $320 on arrival - when it came to pay, doubled it. $320 to test for leak and $320 to clamp the pipe. Never again.

plumber's cameras don't work well when it's wet??? So, rescheduled to the following day. Booking time came and went. No plumber. I sent a message asking for an ETA. No reply. Waited until an hour after the booking time then phoned. Call was refused. Got a text saying I'll call you soon. The plumber then did call and said he'll be on his way soon, and would be about 10 minutes. He said he'd been held up on a job in Frankston. Frankston to my house is not 10 minutes. More like 40. So I told him to shove it and I'd go with someone competent. Complete waste of time and effort. Stay away from this mob.

I was quoted $800 for a job by another plumber. Jim’s Plumbing charged me $250 for the same job and the Plumber was friendly and professional. Would recommend.

The quote by far was the most reasonable. The team provided flexible options to cover all job scopes based on my need, from inspection to full replacement of my defective sewer connection. Shantelle and Mos have been very helpful and provided good advice and professional service from start to the end. Prompt service but very expensive. $390 to change one washer and one O ring on a leaking laundry tap. The quote and job only took 20 minutes. Tried to upsell first.

Asked for a quote to remove and replace 15 metres of guttering with one each internal and external corner, a very simple job that I would normally tackle myself, but now too old to be on ladders. $4,387.47 (don't you love it when they can price to the cent but be around $2500 off on a realistic price) As a retired engineer I estimate that there is around $2-300 of materials involved and, at most, 8 hours of labour so in effect I'm being charged an hourly rate for what a surgeon would charge while, with respect to roofers, guttering isn't really in the same league. I feel sympathy for anyone, but especially the elderly, who are unaware of real costings and get involved with this unconscionable, unscrupulous company. If you want honest value for money.....this company isn't it.

Edit: I had the job completed for $900, all inclusive, by Flagstaff Gutters and roofing and it took 2 people just 2.5 hours. First class tradesmen and top job. Highly recommend for anyone South of Adelaide.

accepted the quote under the pretence that it was that difficult. Instantly after I signed the plumber left and said he was just leaving for 30 min to check on something and that another plumber would arrive. Another plumber arrived in 15 minutes, did the job and was gone in under 3 hours. I essentially got scammed by this business!

fee for the repair? An additional $1540. That's a total charge of $1672 to replace a half-metre section of copper pipe in the roof space, during normal business hours.

I was furious when I found out how Jim's had taken advantage of the situation. I contacted them to ask for an explanation. They never responded to me.

Incidentally I had another water leak recently, under the driveway, so more labour was involved due to the digging. I was home this time, and I called a local independent plumber. The total charge? $202 including callout fee. 12% of what Jim's charged my wife for a similar job.

For the business, one of the upsides of having a brand name like Jim's is that they get so much brand recognition because of the commonality.

One of the downsides for Jim's is that once they rip a customer off once, it's easy for the customer to avoid those businesses in future. Never again Jim's.

I hired Jims Plumbing Ryde to unblock my sewer. Volkan the franchisee manages to get his jet head stuck in my pipe, causing damage. He cuts his hose, leaving it in the pipe, and leaves the sewer uncapped with a hose sticking out. Now it's blocking every 6 months. Both franchisee and franchisor (Jims Group) refuses to take responsibility. I recommend everyone to stay clear of this franchise for all work.

Far too expensive to recommend – Good work and pleasant but super expensive for the work that was done. Will definitely not be using Jim's Plumbing again and can't possibly recommend them to others.

Misleading "free quote" – Be careful with Jim's Plumbing when asking for a quote. I called Jim's plumbing to get a quote for a sewage problem. On the phone, they confirmed that the quote was free. camera were used hence they are entitled to charge. If you are advertising a free quote stick to it and don't charge. Would not recommend getting a quote from them as $495 for a quote is outrageous.

$$$ crazy expensive – Arrived on time, was polite. Paid the $140 call out fee for them to take a very very brief look at our gas fireplace, quoted $2500 just to have it serviced!!! Exceptional local service for south west Sydney – Had an emergency situation over a week-end and contacted Jimmy from Beverly Hills Jim's Plumbing, was at my home within the hour, diagnosed the issue, purchased the solution and completed the job within 45 mins. Could not ask for better service.

Over $1200 bill for 45 minutes work – Although I called Jim's plumbing, they sent "Metropolitan" to us. Apparently, there was to be no charge for after hours service. 45 minutes, but nonetheless, I can't see how $1,240 could remotely be justified. They simply take advantage of people in a vulnerable position.

Very disappointed with Metropolitan Gas/Jim’s Plumbing – I called Metropolitan Air Conditioning to fix a faulty ducted A/C system. I was informed that a system ‘Rejuvenation’ should resolve the issue. I gave the go ahead & was charged $1,900 for less than 2 hours work. Afterwards the A/C was still not functioning. as this was likely to be the faulty component. I did not give the go ahead & instead called in an alternative A/C repairer. They serviced the unit, replaced the capacitor & only charged $550. A/C now works perfectly. Calling Metropolitan was a complete waste of $1,990 as it achieved nothing. Continuing with them would have cost me almost 10 times more than the alternative repairer. Although I paid Metropolitan, on my credit card statement it shows that the vendor is Jim’s Plumbing. Shame on you for your ongoing rip offs.

Complete scam artists_in Perth – When my hot water system stopped working, my partner was at a loss because she couldn’t relight the pilot flame. Luckily, we received a recommendation for another plumber. When he arrived at our place, he found no issues with our system and managed to relight the pilot flame without any problems.

We contacted ‘Plumbers Near Me’ about this incident. They apologized and promised to refund the call-out fee. It was disappointing to experience this with a professional company that we were supposed to trust. It seemed like they were just trying to make quick money knowing that we needed hot water urgently.

If ‘Plumbers Near Me’ are using these subcontractors, I strongly suggest reporting them to the Department of Commerce or the ACCC!"

Ridiculous expansive quote – Had a problem leaking roof, it wasn’t Jim’s but the call center sent another plumbing contractor. $149 for the call out fee, and quoted over $ 900 just for using silicon to seal the crack.

Total rip off! Do not call Jim’s Plumbing or Mr Emergency/ Metropolitan Plumbing – A pressure hose burst under our kitchen sink. We were told that the hose could not be replaced and we needed a new mix tap set. The new tap was installed in under 15 minutes. find that replacement of pressure hoses is a relatively cheap job and one that should be done every few year.

Absolutely disgraceful – Rip off. Was told $240. Ended up getting a bill for $2k plus. Will be contacting ACCC and taking legal action. This is unconscionable conduct.PS. originally called Jim’s plumbing ended up being ‘Mr Emergency’ All the 5 star reviews are written in the same style - mentions a name, knowledgeable and professional, would NOT use them again. Rotten to the core.
