WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Our Furniture was delivered with several items badley damaged no care taken in the packing. Multiple items that we entrusted John Ryan team to pack for us are missing with no explanation on how this happened. John Ryans management team very aggressive and hostile in response to our genuine concern for our "missing" items. No care. Use this Company at your own peril !

they were finished inside 3 hours. Upon arrival in WA, we notified John Ryan and arranged a date and time for the container to be delivered and unloaded at our new house. The team turned up on time and unloaded everything in just over 2 hours. All white goods and electronic devices worked when plugged in and there was no damage to anything. Everything that was packed in Vic arrived without any losses in WA. Melb and firm drop off in bris. The guys in Melb on pick up took such good care to wrap all items that were fragile in protective packing material. They were courteous and kind in all regards. On the nominated day the next week in Brisbane the guys from Chess removals Brisbane were just as kind and efficient as the Melb team. They with total care unloaded all my possessions and assembled all that was required within 2.5 hours. Great prior to payment – Good service prior to payment. Hard to get answers once payment made Furniture packed and unloaded like amateurs. We had so many boxes damaged. Everything was thrown on top of itself. Workers at the other end not helpful at all. Not happy at all

We cleaned up the house, packed the car and headed off Tuesday late afternoon for Sydney. We had a day's break on the way and arrived Thursday evening. John Ryan put the container on the train Thursday night and an associated company picked it up, delivering and unpacking the furniture Friday morning. All items were listed and checked off as they were unloaded. This arrangement took all the pressure of us, not having to rush our trip. As we are in our 70's this was much appreciated.

At both ends the teams were excellent in their care and friendliness and patience. They took their time and checked with us constantly as what we wanted done. We would highly recommend their services.

truck arrival time was confirmed the day before and was on time; packing was seamless and cheerful; the truck took up our court but the driver helped our neighbours navigate entry and exits to houses (!).

Drop off was the following day and again the removalists were on time, professional and cheerful. There was no damage to our furniture and goods, and the men seemed to know exactly where things were best placed, and would move pieces with no hassle if asked.

between Melb and Brisbane had clearly failed. There was only on person on that day to move a 55 square house. All other JRR staff did not turn up. After several hours of JRR trying to source new staff the 2 day process turned into a 3 day process - a complete waste of our time (which we didn't have) and very stressful. Upon arrival in Melb - the process wasn't much better. The comms were poor and when we contacted JRR to complain about the process we were effectively brushed off being told that in Brisbane they are at the mercy of unreliable subcontract labour (reinforcing the point by saying this is common to removal companies). Once they finished the job we never heard from anyone again. That was probably the most disappointing part - they know how badly it all went wrong and took no responsibility at all. We have over Christmas unpacked finding a number of items broken, damage to furniture and missing parts to furniture. I would not recommend using them ever again. We have moved several times, including interstate, over the past 10 years and this is the worst we have experienced by far. You expect a few things to go wrong but this was well beyond.

Very Thankful – A two storey three bedroom unit with shed to a two storey three bedroom unit which are 6kms part from each other and within the time estimated it would take to complete the move. Show reply

Excellent service and back up in moving to Qld. During lock downs and isolation – From 3 bedroom town house to 3 bedroom apartment I Brisbane !741 Kilometres to be exact 3 days of driving for us. Excellent Service – We had to move the contents of a four bedroom house over the Easter break, necessitating trucks being organised before and after Easter. Pick up occured right on time both days and the guys were very helpful and considerate of our property. Everything arrived without damage and was placed exactly where we wanted it. applying great care. We were moving to a two storey house on a hot day... with no air-conditioning working . Our removalists manoeuvred heavy pieces of furniture up the stairs with great skill and quite happily returning some pieces back downstairs when we asked them to. Excellent service – We moved from a large (10 room) family home to a smaller one 100 km away. The move itself was staged over 3 days: day 1 packing of delicate items; day 2 clearing of house to overnight storage; day 3 delivery to new home following settlement.
