don't have an aircon over the hot Xmas period. They just keep putting it off. The owner made an appt for a Sunday morning, to view it with a tech, but then didn't turn up, & didn't tell me. My rental agent Jess, won't return my txts. I will be making a complaint to the tribunal. DON'T USE THIS COMPANY.
Follow-up · Got a new aircon on 6th Jan. I asked for a rent rebate, but was told the owner isn't willing to talk about it. And he is putting my rent up, coz it's been 12 months. Nobody cares any more.
JT was the best to deal with for the sale of our property. Communication and transparency during the process which was completed in a very short time. highly disorganised "senior property manager" colleague, but I guess I stand corrected.
After talks broke down between myself and the "senior property manager" (largely due to her incompetence that I endured throughout the tenancy) I attempted to go to the "principle property manager", who responded to my claims with complete baseless dismissal, entirely ignoring the fact that I was breaking the lease on "unremedied breach" grounds, and not "without grounds" as these money hungry scammers, greedy for tenants' bond money, would have preferred.
This lease break was due to the "senior property manager's" mis-management of 19 Davis Way, Walloon, Qld, to a point that this new house had degraded to a fly/vermin/maggot-infested dump, despite myself maintaining, and eventually leaving the property in a clean, orderly state. My personal health was another reason for breaking this lease as the house was steadily degrading to a standard of a public toilet, despite my efforts to keep it clean.
The "senior property manager's" inaction/disregard/inability to appropriately act resulted in 2 breaches of the "Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act", Division 4, Section 17A, Subsection 3(a) and 3(j), which related to basic sanitation facilities and being free from vermin. She couldn't even organise to have wheelie bins at the start of the tenancy, which gave me no choice but to leave garbage bags of kitchen scrap by the curb side. These were "attacked" by crows, leaving a mess that she left me to clean when the wheelie bins eventually were delivered. There was a pathetic attempt to white-wash my claims of vermin infestation by employing a small-time pest inspector that failed to perform an adequate inspection and made no definitive conclusions in his final report, meaning the above breach was, and still is active.
As a tenant, if you find yourself in a similar situation, don't bother going through the dispute process, or worse still, QCAT tribunal. These are set up to favour the property managers/landlords and you're unlikely to see all of your bond at the end of a long and drawn out process. The "Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act" isn't worth the toilet paper it's written on.
I wonder how the landlord, that they claim to represent, would appreciate their asset degrading the way it did, and likely continues to do so. 19 Davis Way (Walloon, Qld) still has issues, much like the Johnson Real Estate's "property managers" that I had the misfortune of having to tolerate.

Secondly, Amanda who has attended the residence on many occasions for inspections, Amanda is also a person with great knowledge of her work and is a professional in her field also. Combining excellent communication skills with empathy and the ability to provide a service with care for the people she meets.
Thirdly, is a lady who works in the Johnson Real Estate Property Management office. Kirsty Harris-Clift who processes the accounts. This lovely is the person to contact and speak to regarding any issues with rent and associated matters. She has excellent communication skills and very helpful and pleasant to talk.
I have had a wonderful experience with Johnson Real Estate Property Management and the people from their office, I would highly recommend them.

I have a number of investment properties and have used many agencies over the years and personally, based on my experience the past two years, I could not recommend this agency at all
Selling my house made easy – I had all the help I needed from JT at Johnson real Estate in Ipswich. It was the first time I was selling on my own and it was a bit worrying. JT helped me with everything, sold the house very quickly and I am now settled in my new home.

Stop bothering me – I sincerely wish these people would stop contacting me, offering to sell my house that I clearly live in and don't want to move from. They used to phone me repeatedly, I had to tell them to stop and they still did it until I gave them a mouthful. Now one of their agents left a note in my door. They are literally the only agents in Forest Lake that I get this from and if I ever did need a real estate agent, I wouldn't go to them because of it.

Horrendous!!! – Absolutely terrible !!!! My partner and I applied for a rental property. sorry unsuccessful. Whilst calling to enquire we were consistently told that the leasing manager was "in meetings", the leasing manager also never found time to call back it was the reception ladies who answered us. I feel that this excuse can only go on for so long. My partner and I are extremely frustrated not for the outcome absout the property but the way in which this was handled absolutely dreadful. To anybody trying to rent or go through with this specific company please have a good hard think about your options. It will definitely save you sometime and headaches believe me!!!
Worst Realestate – Looked at a place for lease put in an application called after a few days of applying sorry property manager not available will get her to call back 3 days later same thing sorry she isnt available spoke to property manager at the property she didnt even know i put an application in I've called twice a week to find out anything n can not get a straight answer . not a professional company attitude

There is no "management" – I have been renting a property for 5 years. 3 years ago, owner of the property changed managing agents to Johnson Real estate. Worst move ever. Property management, is non existing. We have had a few issues with the property, such as not being able to securely close a main door to the house. to secure the house is to be dealt with, with in 24 hours. 9 months later, a temp repair was done.
For owners of rental properties, please think wisely who you would like to manage your property. Remember it is your investment not theirs.
Not much Management in Property Management – I had my rental property "managed" by Johnson Real Estate for 18 months, you never knew who to speak to as there were different staff all the time resulting in many missed or non communications. They only did two inspections in all that time even though they promise to do them every three months. When I went to cancel they ignored me for two months then made me give 30 days notice. Very money hungry very little service.
In the Dark Ages – They still work from written databases hence they have no way of telling whether you are on the Do Not Call register. Legally, they should have a mechanism to take you off but they don't.
How Low Can You Go – My gripe with this business is they called me one evening to ask if I wanted to sell my house. I'm on the DO NOT CALL register. I can only say that I am disappointed in any business that disregards an individuals privacy and ignores the Telecommunications Act 1997 with particular reference to the do not call register. If I want to sell my house I will contact a local real estate agent and not Johnson Real Estate.
