Entirely crap customer service and pram – On receipt of my Joolz in 2015 I noticed the hood would automatically flip down when going over any mild bumps when the seat was reclined. This was incredibly annoying for baby when he was having a nap. I took it back to the store for assessment and they sent off to Anstel who sent another fabric piece for the hood...which did not fix the… Read more

problem.

I took it back again, then Anstel sent replacement hood connectors. Again not fixing the problem.

By the time they replied to each request to have it fixed i had moved my boy into a stroller as the hood was just incredibly frustrating. On some occasions while he was napping I would hold the hood up with one hand! I gave up by that point.

We are now having A second child and given the price we paid ($1500+) I thought I’d call back and see if they can finally fix the issue.

Not only have new management taken over, they could offer no help other than to buy a second hand pram and use the frame only as this is what Anstel should have replaced initially. The lady was very lovely but I’m incredibly annoyed as I essentially have a $1500+ piece of junk unless I BUY a second hand Joolz and take the frame.

I then contacted the European head office who offered less than helpful advice. They simply cannot help.

For the price Joolz, I am extremely disappointed by the fact on two occasions you failed to fix or replace the frame - which again for the price, should not have been an issue in the first place!

Like other reviews, my pram’s front wheels also randomly lock and the back break automatically releases randomly.

I will be recommending that people I know look elsewhere when considering a pram.

Terrible pram, complete waste of money, I have had non stop issues! – I've had nothing but issues since I purchased the pram and I can see why it has been discontinued. Seat too small for my child once he turned one, basket is tiny, tyres are constantly flat and after following instructions as per the website and purchased two different bike pumps, I was simply told to go to a pram repairer to get it repaired -… Read more

quite poor for an expensive pram. Was initially offered for the pram to be sent back to assess and offer a 'generous' offering to upgrade my pram to be then told I was given that information incorrectly and this was no longer an option. Extremely poor customer service experience, I would not recommend Joolz to purchase, stick with the Bugaboo or Redsbaby, they also retain their value a lot more when you're ready to sell.

Trusted Eco Friendly Product – - Beautiful to steer and navigate cobblestones we bought this pram for the extensive amount of walking we do around our neighbourhood. The pram is sturdy and has brilliant suspension which makes for a very smooth ride. - The ability to extend the handle is great for taller parents - We appreciated the eco friendly additions to the pram including… Read more

the recyclable packaging and that a tree was planted when we bought it

- The downside of the sturdy ride is that the pram is heavy and did take a few goes for us to learn how to fold it but I don’t think you could have the ride it gives without that weight.

We love ours!

Regret buying – I understand why this model has been discontinued. It’s quite possibly the worst pram ever made. I’ve had so many issues I don’t know where to start. Basket too small. Seat was faulty but has been replaced. But still way too shallow. And wobbly. Always jams on folding. Tyres always flat. Seatbelt installed crooked, or just odd. It’s just a… Read more

terrible pram in my experience anyway. The only plus is that joolz customer service have been lovely so far. I’m hoping this continues because i truly think it’s just not fit for purpose.

Similar issues to above reviewers – We have enjoyed this pram but now that my little one is growing taller she does not look comfortable in her pram. I have been complaining to friends who have other prams that seat does not seem deep enough. I had a pram liner in the pram initially and had to remove it and there was not sufficient room.I am disappointed as other friends who have… Read more

the Joolz were just so happy with the pram and that is what encouraged me to purchase the pram in the first place - they had no criticisms whatsoever. I cannot say i have had the same experience, despite wanting to have loved it as much as them.

Faulty/poor quality chassis and tyres. Seat is falling apart – Great pram, but cannot justify the quality as it is falling apart in 1 1/2 years. The reason we pay over $1500 is for the quality but i think Joolz has failed to deliver. The chassis is creak and wont fold, bassinet is wobbly, the front tyre break wont work most times. The stitching on the seat and the leather handle is coming off and the list… Read more

continues. Have gone to babybunting a few times but they are mostly understaffed or extremely busy on the weekend (thats the only time i can go there) and cant seem to find anyone to help me as soon as i tell them I am having issues with my pram. Really hoping someone can help as we are planning a second baby and are looking at buying a second seat - If all this can be fixed or else will have to spend a fortune getting an iCandy.

Good pram but not environmentally friendly – Cons: heavy, bulky, big turning circle, small basket, overpriced accessories relative to pram cost and accessory prices of similar quality prams. Pros: pushes well, tall seat, adjustable handle height, extendable footwell, good hood, magnetic basket opening, pocket in seat back is very handy. I like that the bassinet is separate - perfect for that… Read more

transition time when Bub likes the seat but you still need the bassinet for longer naps and visiting people. Joolz is not as environmentally friendly as they claim, though. Compared to similar brands (such as Bugaboo), spare parts are exorbitantly priced (almost $100 just for a belly bar!!) and hard to source and there is no option to replace small faulty parts. When something small fails (and trust me it will, it's not the most sturdy pram on the market) they only sell an entire seat frame or chassis, rather than just the part that needs repairing/replacing. This is an unnecessary addition landfill and at complete odds with their environmental claims. Planting a tree is insignificant in comparison to sending something to landfill that will never break down in our lifetime, if at all. I did buy this pram thinking I was making a good choice for both the environment and longevity so I'm quite disappointed.

Lovely with some noticeable flaws – Being our 5th baby we have been through our share of prams and all have their pros and cons. For this bub we at first went with the Stokke Scoot V2 as, although both hubby and I fell in love with the Joolz from the start, it was at the time more in our price range. After 3 weeks of dealing with some safety and structural issues with the Scoot, we… Read more

finally decided to bit the bullet and get the pram we initially wanted. We were able to get just the Day Studio with chassis and seat from Baby Kingdom on sale and so far I am very happy with our choice.

The Joolz prams are built structurally outstanding and are very sturdy and well made. This is a huge improvement from Stokke who claims to be in the same league. We are thrilled it fits in the back of our BMW 7 seater X5 even with all three rows up. Here are the pros and cons from our short experience using the pram so far:

PROS:

- Materials - lovely fabrics and very attractive

- High seat - I love I can interact with my daughter and it is so much easier to lift her in and out of the pram. I am also looking forward to the advantage of the seat being at table height for cafes and restaurants.

- Manoeuvrability - the prams steers amazingly! Even with my 2.5-year-old daughter in the seat I can still push the pram with one hand. It is such a dream to push and my hubby even likes to take over at times.

- Style and construction - the Joolz prams are built VERY well, while at the same time offering style and sophistication.

- Ergonomic seat - even at just 4 weeks old, our baby girl is very comfortable in the seat as it contours to her body

CONS:

- small basket - however, I am surprised on how much I can actually fit in there

- Price - the pram retails for $1699 new with Bassinet. You can however purchase it with just the seat and chassis for only $1200 and I was able to get it on sale for 15% off that price.

- Canopy - is a little small. Joolz would do well with upgrading the design with an extra panel to offer more shade especially when in the lowest recline.

- The fold - This is a little tricky to get down but once mastered it isn't all that difficult.

Overall, we are very pleased with the Day pram and would recommend this to anyone who has the $$ and are after a well constructed ad stylish looking pram that is packed full of features.

UPDATE - I am still very happy with our Joolz Day pram, however I will make a note that the frame has developed a creak and the front wheels have started to make a clicky sound. I am planning on returning to the retailer I purchased the pram from to have it assessed and hopefully dealt with through Joolz.

UPDATE 7TH JULY - OK,..so I want to love this pram so much and at first did but after about 5 months of use there are some definite things that are starting bug the crap out of me:

- the seat bottom depth is WAY too shallow. Now at almost 6 moths old our baby is starting to always slide out of the seat...I am constantly pulling her up.

- The replacement frame has again started to creak

- the tires are always loosing air, and have to be pumped up like once a week..

- it is super heavy to push up hills etc, especially as bub gets older

- the storage is quiet annoying and when going on a day trip i have to get creative. It didn't bother me at first but now as I need to haul more stuff int he winter I wish I had a basket I could access easier and fit more in.

Overall, I am considering replacing this with something more practical.

Dangerous bassinet – Our baby is 3months old and has started moving her head around, there are 2 metal parts exposed inside the bassinet right at head level and has head butt it twice in the last 2 weeks leaving a bruise across her forehead. We have resorted to rolling up a blanket to protect her from doing this again, I find this very unsafe and can not believe it passed Australian standards. Very upset considering how much we paid for it.

No raincover – I purchased the new Geo Studio. Great double pram, stylish, practical and compact but does not include an essential rain cover as do other expensive brands. Be aware they are $80 each and you need two if buying a duo. Most sales people are unaware of this and will assume it's included.

Nice Design but it has it does have some flaws – We could not decide between the joolz and the bugaboo but after recommendations from friends we went with the Joolz. We love our pram and searched extensively for one that was both practical and stylish. We were impressed for the most part with the Joolz however after using the pram for only 2 weeks it started to have some problems. Firstly,… Read more

the UV sun hood we had purchased seems to not be suitable for the australian climate. Although we appreciate the purpose is to stop the UV rays it does not seem to reduce the glare and we have had to resort to placing a blanket over the pram instead.

Secondly, the bassinet has developed a lean and a wobble that seems to be outside the norm. The lean is causing our baby to slide to the end.

Thirdly, the shopping compartment is quite small and the cutout for the brake allows small objects to fall out on walks.

Don't get me wrong, we love the pram, but as mentioned above there are a few flaws, particularly the issue with the bassinet.

Love. Love. Love – Finding the right pram can be confusing and overwhelming! Like most first-time parents, we took a while to review, test and research what pram would be right for us. We sought the opinion of our friends with kids, and even approached random parents on the street when we saw something that we liked! We finally settled on the Joolz Day Studio… Read more

Noir - a gorgeous black, classic. Truthfully, we were smitten with the look of the Joolz when our friends recently had a bub and purchased one. It 'looked' sturdy, elegant and bub looked super comfortable and cosy in it. And, it is!

The frame is super sturdy with suspension wheels for a smooth ride making it easy to manoeuvre and handle rough paths easily. The classic-looking bassinet is large and generous, particularly great as our bub is quite long. My husband and I are tall, and the height of the pram with the easy, leather, extendable handle is a winner, along with the taller pram height that doesn't require us to bend down far. Both the outer and inner fabric of the Joolz is easy to clean and maintain - super important to keep it looking chic. Everything about the Joolz trumpets quality.

Like with every pram, there are features that could be improved upon. The first on my wish-list would be a bigger under-carriage basket/storage. Please! Two of my mum-friends have a SilverCross and a Mamas & Papas - and both their prams have enviously large storage baskets. Much larger! It's such a let down and can be super inconvenient, not to mention unsafe. We have a Joolz nappy bag that gets heavy with bits and bobs that could otherwise be located underneath if there was adequate storage. And a heavy nappy bag means the pram becomes tip-heavy on one side - so mums please be careful. Joolz, please review the storage issue!

The second on my wish-list is a more practical nappy bag. The design is not intuitive. It's awkward, with 2 useless insulated bottle holders on each side. The bottle holders have a zip lid that is restrictive to get a bottle in or out. The bottle holder is also not universal and barely fits most bottles - only something small and slim! We've only had the bag for 4 weeks and already the inside lining has frayed - not happy.

And, lastly on my wish-list is to have an easier compression feature to collapse the frame. It's hard to get the hang of, and needs some force to push the frame to fold up - difficult when recovering after giving birth. The Joolz is also not the lightest pram in the market so it won't suit everyone, and is not easy to lift into a car if you've recently given birth. However, the compression collapse does get easier and smoother over time and use.

Whilst there are definite features that need to be more intuitive and ergonomic in their design - the Joolz still trumped other prams overall that we looked at, and we remain devoted fans!

safe , unique, easy to use ,stylish, quality..Love at first sight! – We wanted something that was modern, wasnt everywhere, wasnt too heavy or wide, folded easily, had great reviews both here and overseas,no budget with an adjustable handle. My partner is 6ft 2 and im 5 ft 3. Friends have emmaljungas which we found too big when folded,no pump up wheels ,design a little tired now and a little over rated.Everyone has… Read more

different taste!.

The Joolz Studio Gris day pram limited edition is a simple design from Netherlands that is quite small when folded, has pump up wheels ,great quality, very modern, only 61 cms wide, light, easy to turn, loads of quality accessories and stands out in a crowd.

We bought every accessory except the parasol in the studio gris which is a reversible denim colour. We wanted the all terrain wheels as we are outdoors alot on all types of grounds, but couldnt buy them here in Australia,so got them online from a store in Netherlands for 70 euros which is a little over $100.We also got the silver wheels, unavailable here, from the same shop for $100 plus postage obviously. This black wheel craze,on cars too,is not to our taste and silver wheels on silver frame looked better.

It wasnt cheap but we wanted a little luxury and joolz ticked all of our boxes. The pram includes the carry basket and they throw in a shopping bag or another accessory for $1599 fro baby gallery in Melbourne January 2014.Joolz instructs retailers not to discount pram.

We got the matching reversible denim ( STUDIO GRIS COLOUR) nursery bag and footmuff. for $189 each.

Other models are a few hundred cheaper and similar in a range of colours.

All up with our extras, at over $2000 its at the high end of prams, but as i said, its what we wanted. Its not perfect but nothing is.It could do with a larger storage area below seat, hence the addition of the XL shopping bag.Beautiful pram, no regrets at all and we love it .Most importantly is the little one loves it!!. great design, colour, easy to use, manouverable, small when folded, light, narrow, european quality could do with larger storage below seat and silver wheels and all terrain wheels available here
