I purchased this machine back in 2019 and it was beyond repair at the start of this year just after it ran out of warranty. In the 5 years i owned this machine it had to be sent to Jura for repair, clean and service once a year which means you are without a coffee machine for about 3 weeks each time. I bought the machine for $890 on special at… Read more
Harvey Norman. I feel like the machine made a great flat white approx. 3 times in the morning everyday for about 80% of the year, i kept the machine very well maintained and cleaned every time but it is that 20% downtime and making subpar coffees until i put it in for clean, repair and service that disappointed the most.
Best coffee machine! – I am very satisfied with th coffee machine, the way it drips the coffee. All the milk beverages are nice warm. I really recommend this product. I specifically love the way the flat white has been made out of coffee machine. Show details
Lasted only four years, do not waste your money – Spent nearly one thousand bucks on this only fours years ago and it has been a total waste of money. Getting Error 8 on the machine now and a quick search on the internet tells me the whole coffe grind mechanism needs to be replaced at a princely sum of half the original price of the machine. Love the machine, but after 3 years having grinder problems – We love our machine and it has served us well. However the grinder is now constantly running, making it impossible to make a cup of coffee as it grinds the beans and sends them all through the machine as soon as you put them in. Can anybody help me with this problem? Show details
Compact Machine, Good Coffee, Pain to Clean – I bought my Jura a bit over a year ago, and have been happy with the coffee, but it is a pain to clean - you cannot remove the brewer unit, but you should reach inside the machine and clean what you can reasonably regularly. The external milk frothing parts MUST be taken apart and cleaned daily, as does the jug, grounds container and tray. When… Read more
doing it for the first time, take careful note on where everything goes, as it is not quite intuitive... Yes, it is a compact machine, and compromises must be made, but perhaps more thought could have gone into the grounds container. A slight increase in the size of the machine, dedicated to a larger container (the water reservoir and beans container are fine) would have made a difference. I was surprised that the warranty was 2 years - a good thing, as after 14 months, the milk frother stopped working. Cosmorex at Fyshwick in Canberra had my records on file, and were quite happy to fix the problem. Unfortunately, I will be without Cappacinos for a couple of days...
Jura problems ! – Following up & down years experiencing problems with other machines I went to a Jura Imprezza F7 some years ago. Loved that machine but after 7 good years decided to go more compact. Have had the Ena Micro 90 for 3 months now. Love it. Makes a consistently excellent tasting coffee. Very simple one touch usage. Coffee temperature is very good.… Read more · 3
Easy instructions. Easy to Clean when the instruction requires it. I use quality Vittoria Mountain Grown beans... when on special at half price $18/kilo regularly in Coles. I prefer to not use the machine milk frother to minimise machine issues & cleaning that side of the unit. ( I prefer to use a $70 small separate milk frothing machine that is still functioning fine after 6 years.) The tray needs emptying regularly & water tank is small but as my wife does not drink coffee this is the perfect machine for a single individual who only drinks 3 cups a day. No problems ... & am not expecting any with this Jura machine. Update March '24 How wrong my expectations were ! Huge turn around. This Ena Micro 90 has turned into a LEMON ! Had 5 ( yes that's five) separate issues with jammed Cleaning Cycle requiring Warantee & Extended Warantee repairs in 4 years. I have 12 months of 5 year warranty remaining....& don't hold out much hope to make it without another repair job ! Not hgappy !
Consistent quality coffee – We have used the machine only with coffee beans. The better the beans quality the better the coffee. I would prefer the milk foam program to produce even warmer foam. The settings for the amount of milk should be in mililitre not in seconds. We're measuring liquid not time. I've never owned another automatic coffee machine but comparing … Read more · 1
to Nespresso machine coffee this one makes by far better cappuccino. I love the flexibility for the coffee strength too.
Constant problems – The machine makes alright coffee, but it's now been 4 times it's had this problem that once turning it off it just hums for about 10 seconds then makes a heap of noise before doing the rinse. Over time it happens more regularly and eventually does it at start up too. Then the machine will not turn on at all. We have a Product Care plan for 6 years, I'm wondering if I should ask for a new replacement machine from another brand. Show details
Juras poor response to MOULD in Machine – Can I start by saying this is our 5th Jura machine, we loved the brand and have always found the machines to be fantastic! We have owned the current machine for two years and as of a year ago the machine started to produce so not great tasting coffee. Im a clean freak and always kept my machine clean and only popped fresh beans in the holder… Read more
when we would be using the machine which is most days for two morning coffees. After a prompted clean the grinder stopped working so I took the machine to Crema Garage in Brisbane who is their representative to take a look at it. I paid the fee to have it looked at and they called me a few days later to say that the grinder was completely covered in mould. See pic attached.. They then said they could replace the grinder for us for $500.. As you can imagine we were so shocked at what we saw and immediately felt sick. We had been drinking coffee from this machine on a daily basis. I had been experiencing bad health with respiratory and stomach issues for a while and now this all made sense. I have since had testing and have mould spores which has come from drinking the coffee from the machine. I wanted answers from jura as to how this could happen. I firstly contacted the store where we bought the machine from as we had bought all of our previous ones there also. They were also shocked at the photo and said that they would contact the Jura rep ASAP. I heard nothing.. I then followed them up and the Jura Rep up who has fobbed me off and said his state manager would contact me but still no contact over a week later. My biggest concern is how many other people are extracting their coffee through mould??? Im disappointed at the lack of answers and will NEVER purchase a Jura machine again based on their lack of response.

Throw away the capsules – My capsule coffee machine concerned me environmentally so I purchased the Jura Micro 90 auto - it customises your coffee & milk amounts to deliver a perfect cappuccino - I adore it & the bean grounds go in my garden! Show details
Second Jura machine did not match the first – My second Jura machine, first one over 8000 cups. Very Happy. The Micro 90, has been back for 3 repairs under warranty, now needs another, but out of warranty so I’m not going to bother.Have bought another brand. The service from Jura in Melbourne was really good and professional. Show details
Jura ena 90...Great coffee but not sure if its leaking from the bottom – Coffee it makes is second to none and my wife likes the lattes and cappuccinos. There is a lot of water in the drip tray when the grounds need to be dumped and its not from the spout rinse cycle because we keep a cup in place. Tech support assured me it is normal because it rinses directly into tray, but there is nothing stating this in the manual. Does anyone else notice this large volume of water with the Jura ena 90? Expensive But Worth It! – My old coffee machine was manual and after 2 years I got tired for always cleaning after every coffee I make. This jura machine makes cappuccinos in one touch. Cleaning is done at the end of the day, and automatic rinsing is done at the end of each coffee. Each one touch drink button can be configured for your cups whether large, small, or… Read more
standard sized. Just read the manual on how to do this.
Default milk temp makes cold coffee, but you can configure this to the hot setting.
Milk to coffee ratios can be configured too. You need to configure and test to find the best setting for your taste buds.
The default settings makes really bad coffee, so you have to spend time reading the manual, performing your first maintenance clean, then configure the settings to your taste buds. For a double shot cappuccino, you need to leave enough room in your cup so you can press the pure espresso button for the second shot. Or you can configure the one touch button for a double shot if no one in your house wants a one touch single shot espresso.
You probably should do a descale clean, and tablet clean before configuring your milk to coffee ratios.
I recommend reading industry standard extraction amounts here https://coffeefaq.com/many-ounces-shot-espresso
I bought this when there was a promotion where Jura send you 3 months of Honduras coffee beans, that is 1kg per month.
It comes with maintenance chemicals.
The milk cleaning tub is hidden under packaging inside the box. I recommend not throwing out the box until end of warranty.

Wasted $1200 and many more – Our machine had issue from day 1 first of all. We were in touch with jura support person [name removed] several times and unfortunately wasted our time and $1200 + all the cleaning kid, new filters that she told us to replace. I've got the jura machine at work but for some reason, when we use the same settings, beans and milk, our new jura… Read more
machine only makes extremely weak flavored coffee.
(They are different machine but [name removed] confirmed that they both could make exactly the same coffee).
We went though several emails and phone calls but all the advise we got were " try different settings and buy new filter and cleaning kit".
We bought all she suggested and tried but didn't change anything. Got checked up once but nothing fixed.
We asked for refund as it was under warranty and she told us she had no idea how to fix it. However we were told that as long as it's working, they are unable to refund.
We had to sell the brand new machine with warranty on it.
We will not recommend Jura to anyone.
First time coffee machine owner: impressed – I have been wanting a proper coffee machine for such a long time. I wasnt convinced with the pod system and was previously plunging my coffee in a french press/plunger. This was a treat thats for sure, i have and probably never again will spend this much money on a coffee machine. My experience so far has been worthwhile. Its easy to use and… Read more
program and i have kept the booklet close to my machine in case i come across something i need help with. It is designed to be a compact size so yes the water tank is compact also. For home use i dont find this a problem as its very easy to fill it. It tells you when the grounds needs emptied which is usually around 4-5 cups worth and you empty the spill tray at the same time even though it doesnt tell you to do that specifically. Its not hard. The filter cartridges are a bit steep in orice but i bought a package deal that included a few so ill face that when the time comes. I noticed there are many soare parts available at Harvey Norman including milk tube so getting a fresh new one is easy to do. I use Aldi coffee beans( the strong ones) and they taste really nice. My hubby sometimes likes a stronger coffee so we have it set accordingly and he can add an extra expresso shot as required. I dont always like high foam from milk so i just add the milk without running it through the machine. All my guests get pretty excited when i make them a cup. When i broke my arm i was still able to make a coffee easily.. its just a button to press so no risk of spilling boiling liquids on myself. My son makes his own frothy milo using it and chai tea lattes are pretty easy to make also.
I havent yet mastered the art if using preground coffee in it yet. This was only important when i first got it cos i wasnt expecting it so quick and had no beans. reading the instructions may have helped lol. Also the cleaning pill thing goes in the grind chute not the water ;-/ .. lol shouldve read the book then too.. hehe. The full cleaning thing i guarantee will come up when you are running late for work and want a coffee in a hurry so dont accidentally press the middle button ir youll be committed for at least 45 minutes there.
Ive had the coffee machine for a couple of months now and I am happy with my purchase. Be sure to shop around as you can get good deals this way. Mine came with a bonus kit which included 4 small bags of beans, filter cartridges, milk cleaner solution and cleaning tablets.
Coffee is Good but FIX the MILK TEMP PLEASE – Its so disappointing, there are tons and tons of reviews complaining about how cold the milk is when it comes out of the machine, why on earth dont they just fix this ?? The machine is great but now I need to buy an external milk frother so my milk is hot, Make no mistake the milk is far far too cold and dont ask me to contact customer service,… Read more

Overpriced for what it is and temperamental – This machine is great in terms of being easy to descale and low maintenance on that side of things as well as grinding fresh from the bean. I'd like to do a milk clean more often but I think the cleaner for this is severely overpriced and would on its own be $100 a month and clearly is beyond ridiculous and there don't seem to be any… Read more
alternatives. The sensors and settings on this are very temperamental. I quite often will waste 20 minutes trying to 'trick' it to reset sensor to empty the tray or grounds even when they have been put in freshly cleaned. Many mornings i've gone out to buy my coffee because I just don't have time when it gets into full 'tantrum' mode. While the descaling is great, it loses a lot in the bottom of the machine so pulling it out to give it a clean every day underneath is a must and I think it should be able to catch the grounds and avoid overspill to the extent I experience. Also I find the coffee fairly week for the amount of beans it uses. You also don't seem to be able to program it for a double shot, the macchiato setting can't be programmed without a 3minute pause in between for some reason and the milk frothing and heating leaves a lot to be desired. I've also had a plastic part just come off near the hot water spout right after buying it despite the fact that I have only used this a handful of times. No response from JURA to see if perhaps my machine has a programming issue or to get this part replaced either and that puts me off from buying another.
Tiny machine that makes great coffee – I was drawn to the Jura brand after my workplace rented one of their commercial machines. The coffee it made was delicious, with the same beans other machines turned into average coffee. So I bought a reconditioned model small enough for two people. It's perfect. The coffee it makes is no-fuss great coffee. The settings are easy to choose from,… Read more · 1
you don't have to have much coffee knowledge to make it work well. It's easy to clean and maintain although it requires very frequent emptying and refilling but this is acceptable given the size. It also keeps the drip tray and grounds bin nice and clean. I did have a problem with it smelling at one stage, after it had been left for a month with no use. A cleaning cycle solved that easily. Other than that it has worked for 2 and a half years without any problems.
Coffee is good but cover not quite so – Pro This is a good machine that doesn't take a lot of space. Coffee bean is important but this machine make it great, my husband enjoy the taste + texture of coffee Quick, have automatic milk rinse and coffee rinse function. The coffee making is not very noisy. Con: The water tank is at the back, you will have to ensure you have enough… Read more
space to get to the water tank...
I also don't like the plastic cover! I have the machine only less than a month and it already tilt outwards, I admit that I clean the tray often but I do not expect a $1200+ machine loss its charm this quickly.
Love my Jura – When I needed to replace my coffee machine, I didn't look any further than Jura again. My first machine lasted 8 years and never really skipped a beat. After comparing a few different models, I decided this machine was the way to go. No frills or fancy features that I'll never use and produces a consistently good coffee. My only criticism is… Read more · 1
the drip tray and grounds container don't hold much and need emptying often, also the bean holder and water container capacities are not large either. But seeing as the machine is compact, this isn't surprising. I would definitely recommend this machine to anyone who enjoys their coffee and wants a push and go machine.
Easy to use and makes a very good coffee – I love the taste and ease of operating the coffee sections of the machine. It produces a very aromatic cup, and is easy to clean, and provides timely reminders. the drawback is that the milk frother is quite troublesome to clean, so i have only used this once. And i froth the milk in a standalone frother or just froth milk using the nespresso machine. For the coffee alone though, perfect there Show details · 1
Like it for 2 people - Makes really hot coffee and good milk foam consistency – We changed in the last month to Jura after having had a Delonghi machine for the last 10 years. I like the very hot coffee it makes & that it is glas and not plastic for the milk container. However, the drawback for the slim machine is that one has to empty it a lot & refill. It last only 4 cups before one has to spring in the action to empty the… Read more
basket. So nothing good if you have many guests or the office, but for a 2 person household it is fine.
The design to take out the milk hose is cumbersome and hard to do. I preferred the Delonghi way. Although there is a short milk cleaning process that one runs, there is always milk left and the hose often gets in the way in the fridge as it is not attachable to the container.
Since we only have it for a month, I don't know how reliable it is yet, but so far so good. Our Delonghi was in repair 7 times in 5 years until our insurer decided to give us store credit as the repair costs exceeded what it was worths. So we will see how we are going with the Jura.
