I love my Jura, BUT!! – There are 4 adults in the house and an occasional visitor. I find the filter lasts from one week to three weeks. It is always rinsing. It rinses even after cleaning the milk system. I know it is set for so many litres, but it is ridiculous how expensive this machine can get. It is frustrating. Show details

Makes amazing coffee – This an amazing machine. Makes a fantastic cup of coffee. There is a variety of types and sizes of coffee to choose from plus you can also customise your own coffee. The coffee temperature is spot on, nice and hot and this can be adjusted if you prefer coffee a little cooler. This machine is next level so you won't be disappointed. Good quality coffee beans and this machine, will give you the ultimate coffee fix. We love it! Show details ·  1

Better than a bought coffee – I love this machine so much. I also bought the milk cooler. The coffee is extremely hot and the choices of coffee to make is enormous. Wouldn’t be without it.  Show details ·  1

Great coffee and options, still demanding for a high end automatic – Coffee is great, as are the customisable options, as would be expected for the cost and kitchen bench footprint of such a machine. However, when you pay this much, little niggling problems become particularly irritating - if it were a cheaper package you would just accept minor niggles. Firstly, the cleaning cycles are almost non-stop, seems like… Read more

it needs to go through a milk system clean after almost every milk containing coffee. Each time you have to step through several clicks/screens to initiate the cleaning cycle.. including an acknowledgement that you should only use Jura supplied cleaning fluid/parts/tablets/etc. ...every time...after almost every milk coffee. Gets real old, real quick. Secondly, the drip tray assembly parts just sit loosely together by gravity. So, when you are prompted by the machine to empty or clean it for the first of the many frequent occasions, the admittedly beautiful drip tray grate slipped off the assembly. We discovered it was glass - as it shattered into thousands of pieces on the floor after owning the machine for only a day. No worries - look online for a new one, our fault after-all. $250+ to replace, plus $50+ to deliver...and that's US dollars. Clearly, if you routinely pay >$4000 for a kitchen appliance, you have so much spare cash that you don't mind paying high replacement part/manufacturer consumable prices. We don't..this was a one-off treat for Christmas. So, now we have a beautiful new coffee machine with a shattered drip tray grate. But at least we have a story to tell our visitors. The last problem isn't really Jura's fault. Harvey Norman sold the Z8 to us with the milk cooler accessory, telling us they linked wirelessly. And actually the Harvey Norman price sticker stated "Wireless". So, after a couple of hours trying to work out how the Z8n connects to the milk cooler, I discovered you need a $95 additional part to make wireless connection possible. Hmmmm. Harvey Norman were very sorry to have given us the wrong impression, but as it doesn't seem to make any difference to the manner in which it makes milk coffee, we haven't bothered. Later, I discovered on the bottom of the milk cooler box, it does state the wifi OR bluetooth accessories are optional....on the bottom of the box...... We are enjoying the machine, it is beautiful, it's fun to make coffees with and they turn out great. But am less in love than I should be after parting with >$4000 for good coffee!

Awesome – I previously had the z9 but this new z8 is far superior and simply churns out amazing coffees. The different settings re coffee and milk are more than enough to satisfy the fussiest of coffee drinker . The coffee is very hot and I like that  Show details ·  2

Excellent machine – This machine makes consistently good hot coffee. The filters are expensive to replace at around $22 each. These are replace after every 50-100 cups. The machine will let you know when it wants descaling and a new filter. We love this machine. Show details

A fully loaded machine that makes super coffee at the touch of a button – The quality of the coffee product is very much a function of the quality of the roasted beans you put in the machine. I keep my beans in a snap tight sealed canister and only dispense enough for 2-3 cups (I take two at breakfast - coffee this good needs more than one cup). Being Swiss you can rightly expect precision and the consistency of the… Read more

output is only varied by how fresh the milk, coffee and water are. Thats why when you buy fresh beans (from a high quality artisanal roaster, or perhaps, Genoa coffee or Roma coffee beans) then immediately store the beans in an airtight lightproof canister and ONLY dispense what you need. Beans you buy in the supermarket are not very good at all. If there is one criticism it is that the milk clean function (which is fully automatic but you should still clean out the (optional) refrigerated milk canister and clean the frothing head) oftentimes tells you to clean the system even after you have made just one cup. Best idea? Ignore it and do it daily or every couple of days depending on the amount of use it gets. Lots of bits to clean (ignore the complainant re the drip tray being long and flat) - yes it is, but seriously, its not THAT hard to get it to the sink without spilling it. I have had this machine now for around two years and it works perfectly. We have had up to 50 people for a open garden and the great thing about this machine is that once the first cup is made you can churn out a great latte for example every 45 seconds. Consistently and very high quality. Even my Melbourne living super shot strength coffee loving daughter reckons its a pretty decent machine. Enough said.
