Better than a bought coffee.
I love this machine so much. I also bought the milk cooler. The coffee is extremely hot and the choices of coffee to make is enormous. Wouldn’t be without it.

Great coffee and options, still demanding for a high end automatic
Coffee is great, as are the customisable options, as would be expected for the cost and kitchen bench footprint of such a machine. However, when you pay this much, little niggling problems become particularly irritating - if it were a cheaper package you would just accept minor niggles. Firstly, the cleaning cycles are almost non-stop, seems like it needs to go through a milk system clean after almost every milk containing coffee. Each time you have to step through several clicks/screens to initiate the cleaning cycle.. including an acknowledge...Read more
ment that you should only use Jura supplied cleaning fluid/parts/tablets/etc. ...every time...after almost every milk coffee. Gets real old, real quick. Secondly, the drip tray assembly parts just sit loosely together by gravity. So, when you are prompted by the machine to empty or clean it for the first of the many frequent occasions, the admittedly beautiful drip tray grate slipped off the assembly. We discovered it was glass - as it shattered into thousands of pieces on the floor after owning the machine for only a day. No worries - look online for a new one, our fault after-all. $250+ to replace, plus $50+ to deliver...and that's US dollars. Clearly, if you routinely pay >$4000 for a kitchen appliance, you have so much spare cash that you don't mind paying high replacement part/manufacturer consumable prices. We don't..this was a one-off treat for Christmas. So, now we have a beautiful new coffee machine with a shattered drip tray grate. But at least we have a story to tell our visitors. The last problem isn't really Jura's fault. Harvey Norman sold the Z8 to us with the milk cooler accessory, telling us they linked wirelessly. And actually the Harvey Norman price sticker stated "Wireless". So, after a couple of hours trying to work out how the Z8n connects to the milk cooler, I discovered you need a $95 additional part to make wireless connection possible. Hmmmm. Harvey Norman were very sorry to have given us the wrong impression, but as it doesn't seem to make any difference to the manner in which it makes milk coffee, we haven't bothered. Later, I discovered on the bottom of the milk cooler box, it does state the wifi OR bluetooth accessories are optional....on the bottom of the box...... We are enjoying the machine, it is beautiful, it's fun to make coffees with and they turn out great. But am less in love than I should be after parting with >$4000 for good coffee!Purchased in December 2020 at Harvey Norman.

Awesome
I previously had the z9 but this new z8 is far superior and simply churns out amazing coffees. The different settings re coffee and milk are more than enough to satisfy the fussiest of coffee drinker .
The coffee is very hot and I like that

Fantastic Coffee
The z6 is a great coffee machine, the coffee is so much better then the coffee shops. I now begrudge paying for terrible coffee. It is an easy no fuss process.
Highly recommended.

not worth the money and headaches
started with a J6 which was sent back as grinder packed up after a few months , got it back, ok for a while then started leaking, got fixed, started leaking again, the machine its self was fine easy to use and made good coffee, we were told by Jura that we had made to many coffees on it approx 3500, they advised we need a commercial grade machine the z6 which was the cheapest, we traded our old J6 in, against one, with the 1st one it ended up going back twice for leaks, then went back for error 2 msg ,which when my wife rang Jura she was told t...Read more
o blow a hair dryer on it to warm the machine because it was a cold day, cracked the crap at service center, and got given a replacment Z6 which was a demo, this unit we seem to spend more time cleaning than making coffee, coughs and splutters and blows steam instead of milk giving only half a cup, it has made 1750 cups and calculated, cleaned milk system every 6 cups, it evens blows steam and splutters when cleaning, its quite noisy so in 2.5 years we are on our 2nd failed Z6Purchased in June 2018 for A$1,700.00.

I purchased this a and loved my Jura. I cleaned it as per instructions with the incredibly expensive unavailable in Tasmania (requiring postage costs and they are weighty). I stocked up when I went to Adelaide. Sadly shortly after this, I accidentally knocked the spouts and they broke off. I can no just get the parts to replace. I have to pack up the machine and send it to the mainland of Australia. A huge cost. Which I can not afford. So now I have my useless Jura Coffee machine which has been sitting here for a while. As I am relucta...Read more
nt to throw it out. I also have so much cleaning products sigh. It is one thing to buy a product costing thousands of dollars to have no access to after sales service without costing a fortune to send to be fixed. ItPurchased in August 2017.

Dear Life in Tasmania, we have a service centre in Hobart called quality equipment if have service centres in all states or if it’s just spouts we do send the parts out?
that is interesting as when I contacted a service number in Victoria they advised me there was no where in Tasmania and that they did not post parts out.

Not worth the money i paid for it
Purchased March 2020 on a Saturday, arrived dead never worked. Had to send to service dept to be fixed. Three days later it arrived back, sadly milk frother is rubbish and spends 90% shooting steam instead of milk. Jura replaced the frother components which made it better 20% failure now. After a few hundred cups its back to its old tricks of shooting steam 90% of the time. Sent it for service again all fixed. Shoots steam 60% of the time now so it improved. My next gripe is temperature, water heat highest milk temp 8 and makes coffee in the r...Read more

Excellent machine
This machine makes consistently good hot coffee. The filters are expensive to replace at around $22 each. These are replace after every 50-100 cups. The machine will let you know when it wants descaling and a new filter. We love this machine.

The Z5 that just keeps on going.
I am very happy with the Jura Z5 and it is still going after 12 years of coffee. As an early adopter of technology I bought one of the first Jura Z5 that came into Australia. I am meticulous as to the type of coffee I buy, always treat the machine with good coffee beans and of course good water.
The Z series is a sophisticated machine. I like being able to set the coffee strength for each button as well as the water quantity.
I always drink long black or espresso.
I think the secret to this machines long life is care and respect. I follow the prompts on the display and add the tablets when it requests.
I will be back to buy an upgrade in the next few months.

A fully loaded machine that makes super coffee at the touch of a button
The quality of the coffee product is very much a function of the quality of the roasted beans you put in the machine. I keep my beans in a snap tight sealed canister and only dispense enough for 2-3 cups (I take two at breakfast - coffee this good needs more than one cup).
Being Swiss you can rightly expect precision and the consistency of the output is only varied by how fresh the milk, coffee and water are. Thats why when you buy fresh beans (from a high quality artisanal roaster, or perhaps, Genoa coffee or Roma coffee beans) then immediate...Read more

Machine is great, after sales service extremely bad.
Purchase JURA Cool Control with Z9 which lasted about 4 years, purchased another one lasted less than 12 months. JURA wanted me to prove I didn’t get 12 months use of it but showing them how often I travel and not using machine. Get real Jura!! If you can’t replace a $150 item then I won’t spend another $3500 on your Coffee Machine again.

Ok, held back by a few major design issues
Purchased this machine after years of using a traditional semi-auto machine. Its Ok, if not underwhelming. A few serious issues really impact things:
1. The P.E.P process works great and really enhances shots, *but* it is completely disabled when you are making milk drinks. So if you are looking for a punchy Australian style flat white, you are out of luck... the best you can get is a weak cup of coffee flavoured milk.
2. The milk frother is seriously temperamental. I follow the full suggested cleaning regime using the (expensive) Jura cleani...Read more
ng liquid, but at least 50% of the time the frother just blows bursts of steam with no milk. Jura support suggested the milk temperature was the issue, but I have it on lowest and it makes no difference. 3. The drip tray is ridiculous, a classic case of form over function. It is this long shallow thing that stretches all the way inside the machine (so it is kept out of sight), but this makes it a crazy balancing act to take the lid off it and empty. You will spill old coffee water on your benchtops every time. On the positive side, the self cleaning really does work well and is fully automatic. No need to swap out cups of water or anything half way through (which I believe is unique to the Z line machines). All up it actually makes pretty decent coffee for an auto machine, but considering the price I was expecting a much smoother day to day experience. And the lack of P.E.P on milk drinks is a major negative.Purchased in March 2019 at Harvey Norman.

Crap crap freaking crap
For the love of coffee if you read this do not buy the Jura z6 or any other Jura for that matter, mine didn’t even last 2 years, paying $3,000 I would expect it to last at least 5 years, and I maintained it very well, after packing and unpacking the coffee machine several times for repairs I got it replaced after it died and the next one didn’t even make one good coffee so that was a piece of shit too. Jura is a company that only make coffee machines and they couldn’t even get that right which is a shame, I don’t recommend buying these coffee m...Read more

Best Coffee Machine I have purchased.
I enjoy my coffee and have in the past purchased many machines predominately Delonghi (five at the last count). The machines never achieved the goal of a cafe espresso machine. I accepted it as a fact of life as I not only couldn’t afford the espresso machine but also had no space. My problem with the Delonghi machines was the breakdowns and the expensive repair. I gave up on the service centre and my son took on the task of repairing them if possible and giving them away to another home.
After the last machine broke down (not an inexpensive m...Read more
odel) I looked at the alternatives. I purchased a Jura Z6 and have been blown away by the ease of use and the quality of the coffee. It is equivalent to a Inner City Newtown Cafe! I have never owned a Jura before so I can’t compare, however, the Z6 has PEP technology that maximises the extraction from the coffee beans. Why did I wait so long to buy a Jura. They prove that non commercial machines can make cafe quality drinks! Coffees can be ordered via their phone app and any milk coffee drinks are as great as a cafe. I have removed our electric jug as water for tea is produced faster and at the right temperature.Purchased in August 2019 at Bing Lee Online store.

Pretty terrible!
We have had this coffee machine in our workplace for about a year and a half. From the beginning this machine has exhibited problems. The milk canister does not stay cool enough and countless times we have to throw the milk out because it goes off. The turn dial does not register, sometimes it will even go backwards when its being turned forward. The milk does not froth unless we manipulate it manually while the milk is coming through. The biggest flaw I think is that there is no indication when the water is low. The machine just simply runs out and you are left with half a coffee.
Highly disappointed with this machine!

Why is my coffee almost cold- it’s on high water temp!? Clean the milk line? I haven’t used it!
I don't understand why my coffee is not hot. I googled it and videos tell me to have a hot kettle of water ready and add a splash. Seriously? .... for $4k I have to make my coffee like instant coffee? I don't think so- absolutely not- that's crazy!. If I don't find a way to make it hot ( is on HIGH), it will be returned for that reason. We do not drink warm coffee here. Comes out warm and within 5 minutes it's a cold drink. Not right. How embarrassing to server cold coffee to guests. Can't do it. :(

Repairs
Had to send it back for repair during warranty. Now I am having to send it back a second time at a cost of $345. Two months out of warranty. This should not happen with a machine that is this expensive and this soon. I gave my old Miele to my son in law that is now 5 years old and it has never had a problem. It was much cheaper.

Very simple to use
We're not very technical minded and wanted a coffee maker that was simple to use and always ready rather than having to set it up for every use. The coffee taste very nice and is slightly hotter temprature than what we expected it to come out with. The only thing we picked on is how short the power cord was

Great Coffee Machine
We were so frustrated doing research on Coffee machine , and we came across Jura Z6 (pronounced Yura) and we do not regret at all, this machine is automatic, does everything for you, also reminds you of cleaning milk section. if you have facebook look for Jura coffee club they have a great collection of people who can help with questions.
Thank you I will try these suggestions

Love our Z5. Tried ground coffee (Lavazza Oro) recently and can't get it to work reliably. Usually gives "not enough" error. This has happened even when funnel was completely full. So took funnel out, found ground coffee wasn't coming through the bottom hole. Tapped the funnel and all the ground coffee went right through and funnel emptied completely, machine said "not enough" again. Lots of dry ground coffee piled down on the back of the drip tray cover. What do I need to do differently please? Intermittently will make a cup, randomly and unpredictably. Works fine with beans.

Details
The Swiss-made Jura Impressa Z Line fulfils its mission to impress coffee drinkers with its barista-like brews, touch-screen display and wide range of customisable settings.
Features:
- 3.5-inch touch-screen display lets you choose from a number of caffeinated drinks, including cappuccino, latte, macchiato, flat white and a hearty pot of coffee.
- The Jura ‘remembers’ your personal preferences using AI, so that your favourites appear on the home screen for quick selection.
- Able to make two cups at the same time, saving precious morning time
- The machine can prepare a portion of milk or milk foam at your desired temperature with its integrated milk frother, and add it into your drink. It’s also equipped to make hot water for tea.
- Jura’s Smart Connect app lets you program your machine’s settings using your smartphone or tablet, which can be stored in the app for later.
Praise points for the Jura Impressa Z Line:
- The taste of the coffee was a cause of culinary celebration by many, with one reviewer commenting ‘It is equivalent to an Inner City Newtown Cafe!’
- The breadth of customisable settings was appreciated, as you can set the coffee strength, as well as water and milk quantity
- Ease of use was commended by several reviewers, who found this machine's simple operation a breeze. It also lets you know when it’s due for a descaling (cleaning process) and for the filters to be replaced.
- The durability of this machine (and Jura products in general) was appreciated by loyal users of this brand
Tips from Jura Z reviewers:
- The filters need to be replaced asemi-regularly, and cost $22 each
- the quality of the coffee produced depends on the quality of coffee beans, milk and even water fed into it (for example, the hardness of the water)
- Since the power cord is short and the machine is bulky, it helps to consider placement on your kitchen benchtop in advance.
