Just my current view of Kaden – I am a licensed installer of split system air conditioners. I have a Refrigeration Handling License. I also own properties in Darwin, and manage others. In total, I have responsibility for over 40 split system air conditioners. In recent years (over 5 years) I have been purchasing MHI airconditioners when replacement was necessary. However, unfortunately, at times in Darwin MHI are unavailable. So, so far, I have been buying Kaden from my usual supplier, Actrol. And so far, so good. There is plenty to like about Kaden. Hopefully, Kaden will be a good brand going forward,

No Pilots Licence Required – Easy to use remote control, basic Air Conditioner-and no need for a Pilots Licence to operate. Worked quietly during a 42c day recently unlike my Mitsubishi Heavy Industries Air-Con previously. Best ever air cons!! – I have 2 x 7.0kw and 2 x 2.4kw Kaden air cons. Not only are they reasonably priced but great for cooling and dehumidifying! I live in a very humid area and absolutely love this brand!! I have another brand 5kw installed but Kaden runs circles around it!! Show details ·  1

Also, the heating and cooling system is great as my room is warm in just few minutes. At night it is the best once I am asleep, as I can programme it for after I'm sleep. I am very happy with my purchase. It looks like a part of my room’s deco. I'm also very happy with the service provided. I can highly recommend this product and company to my family and friends.:)

Absolute rubbish – I have had nothing but trouble with it. First call out was at 12 months old, the middle of summer showing p4 error. Electrician came out and change the motherboard said it was faulty! inside unit and the outside unit. Had a call from Reese representative she told me that the error is now due to a mice plague, which clearly it’s not as it was faulty well before the “mice plague” seems they don’t honour the warranty of this brand… I am yet to have it fixed middle of a blizzard and mind you been without an air-conditioner for a month…. extremely poor customer service! Just do the right thing and replace the unit…. I will take this as far as I can!!!!

Broken out of the box, 8 months waiting for a $20 part – Have a 4 month old baby now freezing as Kaden's after sales support is non existent. This air conditioner does not maintain setpoint. Have it set to 24 degrees and the room gets down to 17. who was very busy and took 6 weeks. Diagnosed it as a thermocouple and we have been waiting 2 months for the part. Don't buy !

Does the job and does it well – The unit is quite quick at cooling or heating the whole room. When it's hot during the day or night, having it on for less than a few minutes usually brings the room to the right temperature. should, but the remote needs to be nearby during the duration. If you set the timer elsewhere and don't put the remote close to the unit, it might not trigger.

Some days in the summer, the AC will be on full blast (17 degrees, turbo mode) and we would be sitting directly under the unit, still sweating. But that's probably the fault of the Brisbane heat rather than the air conditioning. Other than those cases, it seems to do its job quite well.

Great Lounge room split – We replaced our old broken down split system with a Kaden 5kw unit and its been amazing. Great looking unit and provides heaps of air flow compared to the old one which heats and cools the lounge really quickly. Would definitely buy one of these units again. Show details

Great bedroom unit – Bought this unit about a year ago, very quiet as I'm a light sleeper and I've never noticed it. Keeps the room nice and cold and isn't too bad on the power either. All in all I'm very happy with it. Show details

Terrible quality and customer care – We purchased 3 units from Reece and have had nothing but trouble, one stopped working, the internal fan’s accumulate dust causing the units to purge the air. Rubish!! So angry! – I am wasting so much money on electricity trying to warm my tiny 2 bedroom house. I have even closed it off so that it is only the small lounge and my room. Have it on 30 degrees turbo fan, its only warm air up close and cool air 3 meters away. After 8 hours use on 30 degrees the 2 temp readers in my lounge sat on 18 degrees!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great Product – We got this after our old one broke down. This is Great value for money and is very powerful . The Remote is great and loaded with functions. End of the Day it does a great job at heating. We havent tested it for cooling yet but planning to give it a good test over summer. Show details

Complete waste of money - absolutely useless! Heat will only work if you use another heater source! – I bought this unit 12 months ago because I was assured it was a quality Australian made product. What a mistake that has been! I have already had the outside unit replaced once. Last winter even on 18 degrees the unit blew out cool air, not really a heat. just been through a hot summer, again the unit offered very little cool comfort - had to also use a cheap floor fan. Now approaching another winter - and unit does not throw any heat. Instructions as shown in booklet do not work. My little $30 floor heater throws out more heat than this unit. But boy! - is power bill going through roof. What is most annoying is that the booklet has a very sneaky sentence that is NOT explained when buying the unit. Says - (for heating) - "we recommend using this air conditioner in conjunction with other heating appliances". Had I known this previously, I would NOT have bought this item. I simply cannot understand it - it does not make sense! So in order for this heater to work, you need to have another heater working! I have other air conditioners and none of them need another heat source to work. More disappointing is the company response - I paid for an Air Conditioner that works, that is definitely not what I have. Do not recommend.

Kaden KL25 Evaporative Cooler – Very happy with purchase of Kaden brand Evaporative air-conditioning system replacing a 17 year old Brivis. It has been a reliably cool workhorse in hot uncomfortable spring and summer conditions. It has a very strong fan and simple and reliable to operate. Super Impressed – We replaced our old clapped out unit with a Kaden unit based on recommendations from some family friends which had them installed at their holiday rental home. color scheme much better. Remote is simple to use and our power bill definately has improved. Also has simple filters that pull out from the top so you don't need to open front panel to access.
