avoid at all costs !!!!!!! absolutely poor builders with no knowledge – they take your money pretend they know it all they actually do but do it on the cheap, so you end up with a product that just maybe suits your site and back pedal all the way when there's any issue its also fully illegal to withhold the keys until final payment is made. making it near impossible for you to inspect there crap work and argue for the next 9 months go get it mildly addressed. occurred, they left the whole lot up to me to try to resolve and did absolutely nothing to move things forward. They could not or did not want to understand that I am not a builder, or a concretor or an engineer and have no technical knowledge in those regards so for their contracted concretor to come out and look at the site some two months after council approval was obtained and say "that site needs to be retained before we can pour a slab" but then couldn't tell me where the retaining wall had to be built, was just ridiculous. Kam Constructions could not tell me exactly where a retaining wall should be built either and it would appear that communication between Kam and the contracted concretor was next to non-existent. Kam had not obtained council approval for a retaining wall as part of the council application process so additional costs would have to be incurred to obtain such approval. The whole project was simply a disaster. Even their processes clearly didn't allow for hiccups as evidenced by the fact their office girl was organising delivery of the garage yet a cement slab hadn't been poured and wasn't going to be at that stage for quite some time. This office girl had done all the initial sign up and plans and clearly was nothing more than a glorified clerk as she had no idea about anything other than if things didn't align with their processes. After discussions with the owner who had no idea about how to problem solve and communicate effectively with customers but could only see his own perspective and nothing else, I ended up having to engage a solicitor. It was the worst possible experience ever. Whatever you do, do not trust or use this company if you don't want a whole lot of grief and don't want to have to deal with problems your neither experienced with or skilled at resolving.

Excellent – Frank was very efficient during the construction phase and informed me at every stage what was happening. Nothing was a problem to him and the quality of workmanship could not be faulted throughout. Will use KAM again

After Sale Service – KAM Constructions have a great product its a shame about their after sale service. We have a problem with our shed rain and debris getting in one section asked them to come out to check it out. Still waiting

Do not use this company – We paid for the slab to be laid by Kam Constructions and for the shed and for the installation of the shed. When installing, the man they had do it was unprofessional, saying he had to stop in the middle of installing our shed to do another job so didn't come back for a couple of days. 70mm gap between the slab and the side sheeting so I asked them to fix this. I then came back to find that problem fixed but over 20 drill holes, some to a depth of 20mm, all over the slab where they had just rested sheeting on the slab and drilled straight down into it. They also installed one of the windows incorrectly so it wouldn't lock which they came and rectified. When looking over the slab with me, one of the men that runs Kam Constructions said that it wasn't good and that the man installing it wasn't telling the truth when he said he had to leave because they'd put him on another job in the middle of ours. All that was offered to us for a ruined slab was to refund us a couple of hundred dollars. I lodged a complaint with the Qld Building and Construction Commission but they just said that I should deal with the company and try to work it out as it was likely to be considered "fit for purpose" even though there were holes everywhere in our brand new slab. So something that cost of over $13,000 and which should have been "without defect" in my view, was now a mess and nothing could be done about it. They also didn't seal the gaps where they joined the guttering which runs the length of the shed on both sides so when it rains, the water runs out of the gaps splashes mud up all over the shed at the sides. I'm really disappointed in their service and product and wanted to let people know so they don't make the same mistake. I thought it was just unlucky for us but my mother-in-law and father-in-law just purchased a kit for a large shed from Kam Constructions and had a lot of issues with it so it seems that it wasn't just us that was "unlucky".

Do not recommend – Very poor communication and service. Very unprofessional and not impressed with the installation. Our shed was left very untidy once completed. The slab was filthy!

Service is 110% so far – I am in the market for a farm shed/summerhouse and called for quotes from several shed builders (including some of the major companies that do ads on TV). Some never got back to me, some didn't listen to what I am after, some put in a bit of effort BUT so far KAM Construction (and especially Ryan their engineer) have been excellent. always friendly (and I have changed the design countless times), always ready to help, nothing is too much effort for them. I still haven't signed a contract but we are pretty close so I'll let everyone know how the build progress as things move along.

Update Aug 2017: I signed a contract and the build was completed in June 2016. I would advise you to have anything you want detailed in writing in the contract (this goes for any contract though) and, if you are in doubt of anything, get it explained to you fully and then document it in the contract with diagrams if required.

I've had a few problems with the build (insulation tape falling off, gutters collapsed under the rain load etc.) but KAM have been there to rectify them. If there is ever any debate refer back to the detailed contract and, if it is in there, they will come to the party. Kudo's to Russell and Ben from KAM as they have been great...polite and professional.
