by my baby. I had been told that there were special hydrolysed protein formulas which a lot of mums recommended, and tried switching for a while, but the other formula seemed to make bub constipated. So we switched back to Karicare and have been on it since- baby likes it and it's always easy to obtain (some formulas are sold out on the shelves these days). Of course, individual babies will have different digestive systems and different needs, perhaps we just lucked out with this one.

Karicare formula is easy to prepare- I like the small scoop and tin "ledge" setup where the scoop can be levelled easily. As a bonus, this is one of the cheaper formulas on the market, averaging around $20 a tin.

Baby seems to like it and we’ve had no issues – This is our second baby and we went back to using Karicare again as our first child seemed to like it and had no issues with it unlike the S26 Gold we had initially tried our first child on which caused him nothing but grief. child. Our second child was fully breastfeed for the first 6 weeks but then had a massive jump in appetite which I just couldn’t keep up with so we put him on to complementary feeding with Karicare after a breastfeed.

The cost of the tin is fortunately quite reasonable in comparison to other brands. My only word of warning is to make sure that you give the scoop a really good shake and tap to make sure it is full as on more than one occasion I thought the scoop was full only to accidentally tap it on the side of the tin and have the scoop cave in which meant that I hadn’t full filled the scoop.

We will definitely continue on using the Karicare brand as our child gets to the next stages.

Good Taste But Doesn't Work on My Baby – I used to give another brand to my 5mo baby. But there's a time when the formula gone from the market, so I decided to give a go to Karicare. night in pain. Because I gave him the formula in the afternoon, so I thought there's nothing wrong with it - maybe it's just a grwth spurt or something. The next day I still gave the next sachet as I rraloze he loved the taste. But still I thoight nothing wrong. When I went to Lil Dynamo Gym Alexandria, he spilled out very very big amount of milk. Still again, I thought because he felt too hot that day and there's a huge fan inside the Gym which blew up the big wind, it caused his tummy upset. The third day (2nd Nov 2018) I gave the last sachet. Soon after he finished the milk, he vomit like hell. His body temp araised upto 40 since then (due to extreme temp too actually).

Different baby different result anyway. It might work to others but not from me. But regarding the frothy and hard to dissolve, yes it's true.

Incredible – I started with your formula than went to novalac colic. It was an instant regret it did nothing but made my little man gassy and unsettled. We ended up at the hospital because of it. After that trip we swapped back to your brand and it was instant relief for him so I’m not even going to try any other colic formulas unless you have one. was a no too. I really couldn't find much when searching for sweet formulas, apart from one which stated her baby didn't know the difference between karicare and breastmilk. We gave it a try, and hooray for that. 3rd bottle down and he's guzzling. Incase it helps anyone make a decision,.. Right now, our little one is demand breastfeeding, has porridge for breakfast, 2-3 150ml formulas and dinner daily. No more constipation or gas this morning since trying karicare formula yesterday too.

Finally! One that works – We started off with Mumamoo, which we wanted to use as it was Australian made and owned & did have good reviews. Karicare and we have no constipation and no vomiting! It’s been 2 weeks and he seems very happy and well adjusted.

It’s easy to get and cheap too…

What the heck happened to Karicare!? – I used this formula for both of my children and it was perfect, until you changed your recipe. I had the most settled baby and suddenly at 4 months he is windy and has a very upset stomach all day, unable to sleep. Thus started as a result of the new recipe. Avoid at all costs

Inconsolable screaming stomach pains – I recently stopped breastfeeding and switched to this formula. It’s been almost 3 weeks and our Bub is getting seemingly worse every night. Up to 5 hours per episode of on and off screaming, we can hear her stomach gurgling constantly and she is very gassy. Price jump is ridiculous – Love the formula but how can you justify a $6 price jump!!!!

Gave my 4 week old constipation – My babe was on karicare from a week old and at first it didn’t cause any issues however the last 2 week of using it my little one started to have hard poos that were so hard they teared his bum. Comfort, or S26 Gold. She will only throw up maybe once a week now at most and it’s only if she’s been a bit greedy.

No side affects, great weight gain and growth so far and have been using since birth. (Now 6mo)

I done some research and came across Karicare. Day two of using this formula noticed a huge change. No more vomiting and appeared to be satisfied after every feed. Maybe it works but I am bit confused – My boy is 3months old, we changed Nan comfort as his poo shown green not changable from birth so we decided to change to Karicare. But I found he is bit gasy, unsettle and didn’t pop yet maybe he is constipated. I am wondering what can I give him. To see lots of good recommendations, I started to give him. Working great for us! – Started my newborn on SMA right away and from 3 days old until about 2.5weeks he was constipated, pooping tiny hard pellets and screaming every time :( after some research and much internal debate I decided to switch his formula and try Karicare! this formula to support a New Zealand brand but unfortunately didn’t work for us. We put him back onto s-26 and he is much better after the second feed he was pooping normally and back to sleeping 6 hours through the night on karicare he would wake every 2-3 hours during the night. Didn’t work for us but I’m sure it’s been great for other babes!

Didn’t agree with my little man – Started Laricare as the Nab comfort had changed its formula and Bub hated it so thought I’d give this a try, New Zealand made so I’m happy to support that! Unfortunately did not agree with my boy despite many great reviews, left him with so much gas, constipation and uncontrollable crying! Karicare regular is awesome, Karicare A2 is no good – We switched to Karicare from NaN as we found that on NaN our boy was quite spewy and ended up constipated. The switch was great, he was much more settled, barely spat up and became more regular with his bowel movements. formula. This one is shocking. It has only been two days and he is very gassy and is spitting up every time he is picked up the whole time between feeds.

This review would be 5 stars, however I think there needs to be more difference in the packaging between the different formulas. Yes, now that I've had more sleep and am not in a hurry at the shops I can see that it states A2 protein, however the rest of the tin is basically identical. A quick search shows this mix up is quite common, which would suggest that Karicare should consider potentially changing one of the formulas packaging.

Thank goodness for Karicare! – We switched our baby cold turkey to Karicare after Nan decided to change their recipe which made our son so sick. After only one bottle, he was his happy and content self again! Now he gets excited about milk time, his poos are normal and his weight is great! Gentle on babies tummy – I recently switched to Karicare after Nestle changed the Nan comfort recipe which caused massive issues with my 3 month old baby. I couldn’t be more pleased to have my happy baby back, it has been a great formula and fixed all of his issues!

Excellent for reflux and gassy babies – Kari care is the best formula for the babies who suffers with gas or reflux. My baby who is 1.5 months old likes it and it is very gentle on his tummy. He loves the Karicare formula second bottle in today and hes loving it. He can’t seem to tell the difference between breast milk to the Karicare formula milk. So happy we made the transition – My baby was on reflux formula due to very bad spewing. We tried him on other formulas but had a bad reaction after the first bottle so we were hesitant to try again. Good formula – Karicare is very similar to aptimal stage 1. The ingredients are basically identical. Both have omegas and both have prebiotics. The only difference is karicare has half the amount of omega and half the amount of prebiotics that Aptimal Gold has. A Baby who is fed karicare is still getting the benefit that a Gold formula would give such as omegas and prebiotics but would be gentler as there is less of these ingredients in the karicare formula. Also taste is pleasant. Is cheap only $20 a tin and has a neutral odour meaning i couldn't smell the formula compared to other brand making it seem pleasant.

Not for us – Great price Great packaging Clear instructions This formula however did not work with us. Our bub screamed in pain after being fed (we know this didn't agaree with her because we switched and she is so happy now). Made in clean NZ a big 900gm tin and only about $19 a tin but most importantly baby is happy
