head unit in my car and was considering spending another $1,500 on a head unit for my wife's Toyota 86, I will never deal with Kayhan audio again.
The guys at kayhan I cannot fault. My experience with them were good. I bought their top of the line unit for a ford. What an absolute piece of [Name Removed]. So many fantastic features that work 1 percent of the time.

Now...having said that, the unit is not a very good unit, and not worth the money I paid for it. Main issues are the following: - AM Radio reception is SHOCKING, basically you can't use it. - Unit is constantly resetting itself at random times, which after having a bit of a deeper look online, I see others complain about this, - MIC input is CRAP... not the mic itself but the input because the guys at Kayhan sent me a replacement which didn't fix the issue and I then went and bought my own (expensive) mic and still same issue. Again after looking around online found this is a very common problem.
Having contacted the guys a few times about these issue, and as the response time grew longer and longer, I eventually realised that there was nothing that they were going to be able to do to fix these problems because they are clearly not isolated incidents. They did suggest software updates as well as a replacement device but I wasn't confident given these issues are so common, and to be honest after the third time I had to pull it out to replace the mic I was over it and we now just live with the fact that the AM doesn't work (we use DAB but I don't like the delay), the system will randomly restart and hopefully it wont just die on us one day, and worst of all the mic issue wont be solved so back to speaker phone again :/
I'm giving it a 2 star because 3 star says "OK" and that would be too generous for the grief this has caused.

all over the original GM unit 3. Speed between apps is instant and screen is extremely responsive to touch 4. Provides an adapter to use the USB outlet in the center console 5. The sound is rich and clear - Dab+, FM and YT/Spotify 6. Android Auto uses a Carlinkit adapter. Kayhan provides an app (K-Play) to connect your phone to the unit. It's not bad but I found it a bit slow and buggy with sound. Using Carlinkit app Autokit resolved all the issues 7. I also purchased the Theme pack that improves the look and feel of the unit. 8. When it came down to a refund they avoided us for months we had to take them to small claims court to get our refund and during that time they tried to blackmail us to get our refund. support provided unclear guidance, but an old video helped in the right direction. -After installation, the display for open doors was inaccurate. - Support initially offered instructions for older versions, but eventually, the issue was resolved. Overall, better quality control for product contents is needed. - New YouTube installation videos specific to Version 5 for Ford FG would be beneficial, as existing ones are insufficient. Facebook support should be trained and equipped with materials for Version 5.
Despite these issues, the $1500 price tag suggests a higher standard. On a positive note, the Facebook Messenger support is extremely responsive and helpful as on Boxing Day they were outstanding helping and replying almost inatantly, which deserves an A+++ rating. The prompt and helpful assistance from Bill Morrison and Robert Smith was commendable, eventually resolving all issues.
On a 5-star scale, I would give a 3 out of 5, acknowledging areas for improvement but appreciating the effective resolution of concerns, earning a 5-star rating on Facebook and Google.
Don’t trust this company with your money – Unfortunately having to report this company to ACCC, they don’t honour refunds, they don’t provide support, but they are very good at responding when it comes to taking your money. towards administration, It doesn’t appear that I’m the only person having an issue here, if you are owed a refund, contact the ACCC and your bank immediately, I’m also going to be lodging reports with the authorities. Do not read the fake reviews, filter the reviews to see there hidden Facebook reviews, there are lots of people owed money.

control set up. These were minor items and needed a few settings changed and all up was around 10 minutes. The system looks fantastic in the dash and doesn't take away from the factory look. If you didn't know you'd think it was stock. These guys have been awesome from the day I called seeking clarification on what to purchase to getting the reverse camera and steering wheel controls working on the day. There's a couple of negative reviews on here and I can honestly say these guys are awesome to deal with from start to finish. If you make sure you do the install Monday to Saturday you have help to 6pm.

was not worth upgrading, unable to link it to the web via hotspot to upgrade needed a new product key that would have been $500+. I felt like throwing it out and installing a used Ford ICC unit. It was just really hard to get it to do what you needed, like teenagers. Large reason to get out of the car. Crap unit for me.
Never again – No instructions like their web site stated, no help from online chat, sent a video showing how to fit, half of the instructions to fit are missing, passwords on certain apps, would not tell me what they were, attempted to get information, not a word from them, avoid at all costs, I now had to remove the system as it stopped working, no warranty honoured

Too much spam – I don't know anything about their products but the company itself spams audio social media pages even those not involved in car audio. Not a great business practice.
Woeful customer service – These are not fully compatible with Ford territory units with front parking sensors no longer working. Installed by a professional installer who has had huge issues with kayhan. Kayhan came up with excuse after excuse and provided woeful customer support. Just avoid them.

messenger as the web number rings and cuts out never picks up. Messenger they say they need more information or they need to contact warehouse then they need me to remove half the dash to find harness plugs. Then there’s some reason they can’t process a refund straight away even knowing they have received payment. Now no answer! Stay away from them especially considering how much money they are! customers come to me for a no hassle install. I personally was very impressed with my new latest series Holden ve head unit as how strong and was able to keep that slick hsv gauge pod look. Like there Tripple gauge TOPHATS are twice the strength of hsv and you do t need to worry about paying $1500 or more if you can find one even second hand broken are selling for more than these beautiful gauge “ KAYHAN TOPHATS”.
$225 yeah , that’s not a mistake and I’ve been in the car audio game for 20 years So if you broke your hsv pod or some other bad luck go to KAYHAN . They are available 24/7 for live chat and will help you well beyond what any other company in the game.

15 minutes to turn on, often arrived at destination before the unit has even turned on. -The unit will randomly power off - the unit will stay on, playing music sometimes 5-10 minutes after exiting and locking my car. -The reversing camera I purchased worked for about the 1st week and now just shows up as static when the car is in reverse. -The climate controls do not work at all, they are set to 16 degrees which is unbearable in winter and dangerous because I can’t delist my windscreen.
I contacted kayhan about the head unit and asked for my money back but instead they had me sit in my car for hours holding down different buttons, selecting different modes. After all of this failed I asked again for a refund and then they said that I would have to download new software to the unit. This is where I gave up, I shouldn’t have to spend days of my life trying to fix a product that came from the factory not working.
This unit has cost me $1967.00 for the unit $600 for the installation $200 to go back to the installer for them to check they had done everything right at the request of kayhan audio. $200 to buy a factory head unit to install back into my car.
That’s 3 thousand dollars that I’ll never get back.
