Warning: Be cautious about entrusting high-quality garments to Karl Chehade Dry Cleaning (Unley). I recently had a brand-new knit polo (worn only once) dry cleaned by [Name Removed]. The garment was returned with a significant thread pull/snag in the knit fabric that was not present when it was dropped off. More concerningly, the damage was not brought to my attention by staff when I collected the garment.

After more than a month of waiting while the company went through its internal process and attempted a repair, the garment remains visibly damaged (see photo). The knit structure is still distorted and the garment has not been restored to its original condition. Furthermore, the damage is likely to deteriorate further with time.

What I found most disappointing was the response from management. I was advised by the Retail Sales Manager that they considered the garment "wearable with no obvious visible damage under normal use." While it may technically be wearable, there is still visible damage, and that is not the standard I would expect for a premium garment that was virtually new before being entrusted to their care.

Mistakes can happen in any business. What matters is how they are handled. In my experience, [Name Removed] appeared more focused on avoiding responsibility for the damage than providing an appropriate resolution.

Based on my experience, I would not recommend using this business for high-quality knitwear.
