Feedback regarding Kent Removals & Storage is notably polarised, with experiences often depending on the specific regional team assigned. While a large portion of customers report efficient, friendly, and well-managed moves, a subset of reviews highlights significant challenges with item damage, communication breakdowns, and unexpected fees. Consumers may benefit from clarifying all contractual inclusions, inventory details, and insurance terms prior to finalising their booking.
Extremely disappointed with my experience with Kent. My interstate move was booked for delivery today. I eventually had to call myself to find out what was happening. I was told my shipment is stuck in transit and the company does not know where my belongings currently are or what is the reason of delay. The delivery has now been delayed by… Read more
another two weeks from 28/07 to 11/08. I called in last week to confirm the delivery date for the following week and was reassured the items would be coming in on the scheduled date. I have then scheduled work and organised access for a smooth delivery
The most frustrating part is that nobody contacted me to let me know there was a problem. If I hadnt called myself I have no idea when I would have found out. I picked Kent because their communication and transparency were best out of all companies I have contacted. So frustrating! Giving 2 stars instead of 1 for the initial positive experience I had at start
The storage of items went well. The removalists were happy and friendly and the furniture etc was in exactly the same state as when it was stored. We had stored all of our household and moving out and moving back in was effortless with the help that the four different removalists gave. Show details
Great service from start to finish. Only had a small part load shipment from Hobart to Mid North Coast NSW, so it was trans shipped multiple times with other customer's goods. Everything arrived! On the date promised! Some boxes were a bit beaten up but that was expected, you cannot buy decent shipping cartons nowadays. Any that had burst were repaired in transit. All contents were complete and undamaged. Great value for money. Show details

Kent Removals did an amazing job! Moving interstate can be a real pain, but Kent made it so smooth and easy. A huge thank you to Gillian Graham (for excellent communication) and Harry (for the top-notch packing service). Thank you so much, everyone! Show details
We chose Kent to move us interstate because they actually came to the house and conducted a visual inspection and measure. The others did not offer this service and quoted on how many rooms. The friendly and helpful ladies from Kent came to pack our belongings and did a great job. The upload went smoothly and Kent even bought in an additional… Read more
truck to make sure all our 45 cube of belongings were packed and shipped. Our new home move in date has been extended so we are now utilising Kent Storage at a very reasonable weekly rate, no fuss, no worries. We highly recommend Kent.

2 bedroom, 2nd floor apartment, with no lifts, moving from Melbourne to Perth. Extremely professional, excellent communication at all stages of the process, handled all my goods with care. Despite a fairly significant delay due to issues earlier in the day, the team worked fast and efficiently and got my relatively large quantity of belongings loaded safely. Show details

I had a 2 bedroom relocatable home and multiple boxes at another location. The 2 guys that came were very friendly and listened to any instructions that I gave. I thought there was going to be 2 teams, one for each property but only one team of 2. So it took more than 12hrs. Show details
Could not be happier! – Very happy with this service, everything ran as per schedule and without stress. Uplift was quicker than expected (we had horrible access to the property - kudos to the guys who worked quickly and carefully under the rain!) Unloading of the container in Adelaide was easy peasy with two amazing guys who were just great! Nothing damaged, a few… Read more · 1
scratches here and there as expected when moving things! KEY MESSAGE: if you’re looking at relocating, make sure to pack your stuff properly! That’s what saves your belongings! Make sure you use butcher paper to fill out your boxes so they don’t get squeezed and that you use proper boxes too! These guys really do the best they can to look after your stuff! Competitive fees too which is a bonus!
Be aware. Kent do not wrap or cover all of your furniture so expect it to be damaged. Even if you do take out the insurance, the excess is $1000. Our outdoor lounge requires $300 worth of repairs due Kent’s lack of care. It was not wrapped in plastic or a blanket and needs to be repainted and repaired. Our expensive King lounge was only wrapped… Read more
in thin plastic and has sustained many deep scratches. Just a couple of the photos below. I will not be using Kent again.
1 Star – Poor Planning, Poor Communication, Damaged Belongings Qld to NSW move. Container arrived on time however... I rarely leave negative reviews, but our experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. Before booking our move, we specifically requested that someone inspect our property because we had a large amount of unusually… Read more
shaped equipment. After the inspection, we were assured everything would comfortably fit into the quoted container, with room to spare. We were even told there would likely be space left over that could be filled with another customer's belongings. To avoid delays, we paid an additional $1,500 for exclusive use of the container. Before uplift, we were instructed to deliver our ride-on mower to the depot. While there, I noticed only 20-foot containers and immediately contacted our consultant to express concern that it wouldn't be large enough. I was assured it would be "more than enough room" and that we'd still have space remaining. Trusting that advice, we had already sold a significant amount of furniture that had originally been included in the quote, including two large freezers, three storage cupboards and a large verandah chair. Despite reducing the volume of our shipment, the removalists arrived on uplift day and immediately advised that everything would not fit into the container. Multiple attempts were made to contact our consultant, but there was no answer. We then contacted the office twice and were promised return calls, but no one ever contacted us. As a result: A substantial amount of our belongings had to be left behind. Our ride-on mower could not be transported and remains behind. We now face the expense of purchasing another ride-on mower. Several items were damaged because they were forced into the container, including a crushed filing cabinet and a smashed dog treadmill. To make matters worse, the removalists who unloaded the container at the destination were shocked by the way it had been packed. They advised us that, if it had been packed properly, all of our belongings could likely have fitted into the container. This entire situation could have been avoided with an accurate assessment or by acknowledging our concerns when we raised them before uplift. Instead, we were left with financial loss, damaged belongings, unnecessary stress and virtually no communication when we needed assistance the most. We are now seeking compensation for the belongings left behind, the damaged items, the additional fee we paid for an inadequate container, and the financial loss caused by our ride-on mower not being transported. Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this company. Poor planning, poor communication and a complete lack of accountability turned what should have been an exciting move into an incredibly stressful and costly experience. I have emailed through a formal complaint and am still waiting for someone to contact me in regards to this.
### Update. Still waiting for Kent to email us in regards to this. I feel they are hoping we will just go away. Absolutely terrible customer service. Once they have youroney.....they don't care###
## Kent have come back to us after chasing a reply 3 times. Stating that their quoter Liam was correct and we were wrong. However this is NOT what happened. We are now down 2 x 700l Freezers, and a ride on, cupboards. And fencing gear## absolutely terrible customer service, taking no responsibility. Truck driver admitted to having an accident in the way down, which is prob why our gear was damaged. Yet again no recourse with Kent.

Wish we had never used Kent to move interstate from Sydney to Adelaide. We should have used Grace whose quote was very similar - although Kent quote their insurance costs in such a way that you might think they are less costly. We paid an additional $850 to have four large pieces of artwork crated for extra protection. Instead Kent wrapped them in… Read more
plastic sheets. No corner protection, no padding, no care. All four pieces of artwork arrived significantly damaged. We called Kent. Someone took the details over the phone and that is the last customer care conversation we had with Kent. We received an email with a link to fill out an insurance claim and confirmation that they would refund the $850 (which they did). No call to explain or apologise. The artwork is under repair- $6000 cost which has been covered by Kent insurance. However the repairs cannot be guaranteed and there is risk that the damage may not be eliminated - in which case we are stuck with damaged artwork. Kent sent us a survey for feedback which we completed with a low rating. Hey presto they called us. Wanted to know why the low rating and what could they do to compensate us. We asked could they cover the $500 excess charge for the insurance as we didn’t think it was fair that we had to pay it. They said they would check and get back to us. Of course they didn’t because in reality, they couldn’t have cared less. In addition to the artwork, our leather sofa arrived with black marks - luckily we were able to clean and remove the stains. Our dining table arrived with chips/nicks in the wood. Just the worst experience we have ever had after paying many thousands of dollars.

We cannot recommend Kent Removals. We stored our house contents for 3 months as part of an inter-state move from NSW to QLD. All boxes were packed by professional packers using strong boxes and generous amounts of bubble wrap and butcher paper. On re-delivery, multiple items were broken and not just broken but smashed. From the condition of the… Read more
boxes it is obvious they were mishandled. Kent Removals’ QLD manager acknowledges the damage but referred us back to Kent’s Sydney office to deal with the matter. The head of Kent’s Sydney office [Name Removed] has refused to reply to our calls and multiple emails sent to him seeking an explanation and to file an insurance claim. We have moved multiple times within Australia and internationally and have never had this kind of extensive damage and obvious mishandling of our goods. Our advice is to avoid Kent Removals at all costs.
NOTE: this review was sent to Kent Removals by productreview.com.au one week prior to publication in the hope Kent Removals would make contact after ignoring our emails for 3+ months. They didn’t reply nor make contact and thus this review is being published. This is a warning to not engage Kent Removals and to not use their storage and re-delivery offering if you value your goods and personal effects.

Used Kent in October 2025 to store furniture etc until we were ready to move to the Gold Coast. While moving the couch off the property they took a piece out of a wall. We had to arrange for it to be repaired although Kent did pay for repairs. Packing was excellent. Pickup not so good. So slow with too many smokos, still loading when we had to… Read more
leave at 6.00 pm as some of our furniture sat in the loading bay of the complex. Goods delivered to the Gold Coast early January. Expensive leather couch was damaged. It looks like damage would have been caused by the way it was handled by the packers on loading the truck or the way it was put into storage, not in transit or while in storage. It appears to have been human error in handling. We did have insurance but were told it was not covered because of excess. One of the buffets was also damaged. I understood insurance covered goods while in storage and in transit, not because of the way it was handled by loading staff. They get you to sign off on it all before you even have time to check everything with them. They were very expensive. So will never use them again. In comparison local firms take more care.

We moved a 4 bed home from Brisbane to Singapore March 2026. Everything seemed good until we unpacked our things. positive, the insurance claim was settled and paid in a few days. Overall, I would not recommend these guys, take your money and wash their hands with you. Very poor even the Singapore revivalists were shocked at the way our items weee packed
Use Kent if you enjoy stress, poor communication & unreliable service I had a very disappointing experience with Kent Removalists and would not recommend their service. Things only got worse with delivery. The original delivery date in VIC was changed multiple times without any proactive communication. I was first told it would arrive 2 days earlier than scheduled, and then the day before that revised date, I had to take urgent annual leave to accommodate.
On the actual day, no one contacted me at all. I had to follow up myself, only to be told the delivery was postponed to the following Monday due to a so-called “safety concerns.” Had I not called, I would not have been informed.
The final delivery ended up being scheduled 3 days later than the agreed contract date. A manager later admitted it was in fact a system error, not the "safety concerns" explanation originally provided.
While a 10% partial refund was eventually offered after escalation, the impact had already been significant. I was forced to take three separate days of annual leave, repeatedly explaining the situation to my employer, which understandably reflects poorly on me.
Overall, this experience reflects a serious lack of communication, accountability, and operational reliability. For a service that is supposed to reduce the stress of moving, this created the exact opposite.
The only exception was Rodney Spink, the sales representative, who was the only one to communicate proactively throughout the process.

organised , hardworking and maintained a sense of humour , for what can be a stressful time, their use of space and storing and stacking was a work of art. What caused us problems was that the estimator that quoted on the work made a couple of mistakes and that ended up costing us time and money. What further disappointed was that administration/head office accounts pretended to listen and then when they realised that they weren't going to convince me that I was mistaken, they pretented that I was abusive on the call and chose to hang up on me. When I rang back a senior manager came on the line and a similar process occurred, but this time that person said to me mate you can have that additional cost we billed you back, but you deal with moving what we left behind, you choose. I held back from posting this because I did not want to have the removalist team blamed for something that wasn't caused by them.
Follow-up · the moving team where efficient diligent and in good spirits for the task, but whatever anyone says don't allow them to go until all items on the manifest/the items to be moved are moved. Have used Kent twice now for 2 bedroom house moves. Very happy with their efficient quote process using video walk through. Staff admin and movers all very friendly and helpful. Kents provide the "whole package" fast, safe packing and unpacking. Their storage system is brilliant. Packing into a container and put away which means that your things are not handled several times and therefore the chance of breakages are minimal. Show details

Never again. I booked a whole container with more than adequate space to spare and my belongings were jammed to a point where more than 5 valuable items were damaged. Heaven forbid I share a container! 2 paintings were dropped whilst moving other items out of the shipping container, which put me on edge! I thought it pointless to get angry. When… Read more
attempting to convey information about moving another item, as they looked confused, I was advised by one of the men, “I’ve been doing this for 30 years”. My thought was, you’ve been doing this for 30 years and yet you just allowed two of my paintings to fall completely breaking the glass of one. The worst part of this experience was a blown up picture of a family member who died. Whilst everything was being packed it was the last item left, which was interesting as it was lined up with all the other items that needed to be packed. I kept thinking, are you packing this? One of the men questioned me when I asked him to pack it, “do you want this, you really want it packed”. That picture is the most important thing out of all of my items. I didn’t feel I needed to explain this to him as this was an incredibly stressful interstate move, and I simply should not have been questioned. This move was definitely not worth the $15,000.00 pulse I paid! If I had to do this again, I would use a smaller company and would be more than happy to pay more money! Very disappointed!
Moved interstate with Kent and had an overall very poor experience. Some issues were: Charged for storage from pick up day even though items wouldn't be stored for several weeks. After querying this, the storage was waived for several weeks. Over quoted the volume and still has not provided a refund for the excess volume I paid for. Cancelled a… Read more
quote and charged me more after I had accepted the quote and only a few weeks before my move. Delivery team didn't seem to be very experienced and would bring a trolley of multiple boxes off the truck and leave it in the room labelled on the top box, resulting in random boxes being spread through the house. Pick up team repeatedly missed an item after I pointed it out twice and then didn't take it as it wouldn't fit in the truck, note that I had paid for several cubic metres more than they ended up taking so I don't know what their plan was with the rest of volume if I needed it. Took 3 business days of follow up to get my delivery booked.
Overall, I would not recommend using Kent for removals or storage services in the future.
2 bedroom unit moving to another city. The initial sales person did not come to my home as arranged to assess the items that needed moving and did a video call instead. expensive quote I received. The staff who arrived to do the removal were professional and efficient but took boxes they had been asked to leave and left me with a trail of rubbish to deal with. The staff who delivered my belongings to my new address were very unprofessional, vaping in my home and complaining about the location. They did not reassemble furniture that had been disassembled for removal despite it being confirmed this would happen by both the sales representative and the staff that collected my items. Considering the amount charged and the promises made- very disappointing
